Not sure if this qualifies as urbex, or rual/innawoods but a few nights ago in the woods behind my apartment this crazy dude was arrested after threatening to kill his ex wife and himself. He had an encampment back there and I'm actually going to check out today to see if its still there. A lot of animals around the complex had been disappearing up until he finally lost it and got busted, once of which being a cat I was taking care of...kinda worried he was poaching them for food and such. Will have pics, anons.
this is dan bell is my fav on youtube
Back and alive. Dude had abandoned his encampment. Was a bit eerie to snoop around it knowing what had happened. Got a video too.
Not really sure what this version of the flag is supposed to mean.
The guy left the place a trash heap for the most part. If it wasn't under such weird circumstances I would've probably grabbed the axe and sharpening block ngl. Because of that though I didn't feel comfortable disturbing anything. I forgot to mention this guy had warrants in another state according to what one of the officers standing guard had told me.

The blue stripe is for police ("Blue lives matter") Never seen anything with a red stripe though
More crap. Yes I did actually peek inside.
Interesting thread OP, it's always nice when someone leaves the basement and actually does something.

Militia flag?

Nothing of too much interest, the cops probably took anything like that if any was left over. They said he'd basically gone apeshit on his ex wife and while threatening to kill himself he was actually armed with a shotgun. They found the guy hanging from a tree after botching his suicide (even though he had a fucking shotgun supposedly so that's just weird he chose not to blow his damn head off since it'd be much easier really), and he was transferred to some psychiatric ward here.

red stripe is for fire fighters...flag is mundane just showing support for both police and fire fighters.

Not OP, but contributing because urbex threads are never disappoint.

I have no clue. I've never seen a flag like that. This stuff was also inside his tent, so maybe it had something to do with it? If it's even his gear to begin too with because I just found it odd to be chillin' in the tent of a fuckin' psycho frankly.

Black and white US flag with red and blue line means support for fallen cops and firefighters. Blue for cops, red for firefighters.

Nothing really wrong with that. The whole context is basically this tent is on trails behind my apartment that pretty much everyone who lives knows about. I hike back there all the time because it's nice to take in the outside every so often. Spotted this a couple weeks back and none of that shit was out side, sparing the tent itself and the tarp over it. I figured it was something left behind by some hunter or homeless dude who managed to get something non-shitty to live in.
Turns out, the guy who owned this was a mental wreck who was on the run from warrants in Georgia who had threatened to kill his ex-wife after manipulating her to come near these woods by lying about being hurt, and when the cops showed up he was threatening to kill himself. Up until that point we'd heard him popping rounds off at night, and sometimes early in the morning too and it just got creepier when small stray animals (such as a cat I'd been trying to care for) started to disappear a few days before this dudes mental break down.
For all anyone knows he probably could've been going through a rough divorce, if he was a cop or firefighter I mean shit they got it rough enough in jobs like those but it's the fact that a LOT of people around here noticed the animal disappearances too and we all kind of share the feeling he was poaching them. I live across the hall from a cop whose GF is a nurse at the local hospital and she was on duty when they brought the guy and said he'd not been eating properly for days and was muttering to himself and shit. So idk. It's all just weird. He definitely didn't want people coming though. He set these road traps on the trail (because sometimes people go mudding and other redneck shit back there) here and there to keep people out. I guess maybe he's done this before.
I've been visiting the unauthorized Paris Catacombs roughly every two weeks for the past two months. Mostly the quarries, no ossuaries yet. Still some pretty cool shit done by the other explorers of yore.
