More accurately you're empowering ideas and getting insight from yourself.

I've been playing around with the idea, testing the water by listening to things while asleep and probing my subconscious for the information. I've had mixed results - I CAN recall information but I can't recall everything. The human brain records almost everything perfectly, but our experience distorts the information or erases it completely. This is also why hypnosis is effective in recalling information, albeit subjectively at the whims of the hypnotist.
