We know the probable answer lies in "The internal date was wrong" however it does make you think "Why did the photographer set the time wrong?" "Did the photographer know the time was wrong?" "Did the photographer mean to put 2013, and not 2031?" This third is what I assume because I originally saved the image in 2014/2013.

There is .exif data which adds to the mystery of Squid Doggo.

The post from Corgi Fanciers dates 5 years ago, meaning that this is most likely the origin of the .exif flub and subsequent reposting with .exif glitch, whereas the origin from the original site does not have any data at all.
