None. As much as Styx talks about the occult, in recent years he's been getting a little erratic. The majority of his books are just reworks or interpretations of other occult works. His Grimorium Verum for instance is actually pretty terrible in most respects. He's re-releasing already fine translations in bastardized editions just to make a penny off of suckers.

Get the more reputable editions. Can't speak for his original content because if he can't hold back his bias on already defined works, then I wouldn't trust his original conent to be fair.
>>
>>18337518
Erratic behavior is fun as an observer, though, wouldnt you say?
>>
>>18337533
You can track how he changes over the years through his videos (Though I think he has deleted a number of his transitional period videos), from his satanist days, to his pagan awakening and to now where all he talks about is politics and meme magic.

He just used to be a little more respectable. It's not like I don't watch him, I've like him as a person, he just seems a little less professional, which is strange as he's only gotten more popular and learned in his subjects. It's an odd situation.

Shit, I noticed that too. I thought I was exaggerating and seeing things that weren't there.
Maybe his knowledge on several subjects were superficial. I mean, the guy used to talk about anything under the sun, occult or mundane, usually giving an interesting insight/explanation.
Now he's just focusing on the interests of his new audience ("meme magic", synchronicity, US politics) to easily sell more books.
Well, at least they're cheap. lol
>>
>>18338533
>to easily sell more books
He doesn't need to, he has a Patreon. People who are following him for the political commentary aren't buying the occult books.
>>
>>18338533
hes focusing on those things right now because thats whats big once the god emperor is sworn in im sure hill go back to more occult
>>
>>18337514
who the fuck is this numale faggot
>>
>>18337514
None. For a so-called occultist, he actually doesn't believe in it.
>>
>>18339720
Libertarian, Trump supporter, Vermonter, author.
You're assuming from appearances. I wouldn't call him masculine, but he's goth rather than hipster, and not a fedora.

You seem the type to confuse being civil with being spineless. I don't think you'd like him.

t. Styx
>>
>>18339824
No, but close. He looks like I did at 22. Now I look like Dr Orpheus from Venture Bros. I should've thought to go as Dr Strange for Halloween.
>>
>>18337514
Just another faggot trying to get internet famous.
>>
>>18339728
He comes from a laveyan background, so he's all about that 'Pyschological magick' stuff as far as I can tell. He also believes in the wild hunt.
>>
>>18338894
Yeah, I know, but half of his new audience came from 4chan, /pol/acks and others interested in the meme stuff related to election and "how to magick 101".
Most of them don't know anything about occultism or paganism (even though there are several public sources on the internet), it's easy to create a stronger following by releasing more stuff about those subjects (more editions or original works).
I'm just missing the variety of his content and hoping the guy doesn't become some sort of hippie E.A. Koetting.
>>18339525
Well, we will see.
>>
You should watch Coven, man.
>>
>>18337518
He's a pretty opinionated and mediocre occultist judging by the way he talks about it.

I'd say pass.

Also go away styx.
>>
>>18339778
Styx you're the definition of a fucking fedora pls.
>>
I like Styx but he really doesn't know shit about the esoteric.
>>
>>18341323
From what I hear of it, a big chunk of his subscribers are there for the political commentary only. They don't care about the occult stuff unless it intersects with the political stuff (meme magic, Spirit Cooking).

He made some videos on perfectly normal politics and social issues, they hit the right spots to get mentioned by Sargon. That's actually how I found out about him, YouTube recommendation on a Sargon video. Major boost in his fame, and him calling the election near perfectly will have stitched that up.

If anything, the spookiness is an impediment. It's credibility with /x/philes, but his audience is mostly /pol/lacks (and whatever their Reddit equivalent is). Not that he's going to stop doing the occult videos, unless he runs out of things to talk about. That's what he's interested in. I mean, /pol/ isn't interested when he talks about gardening, either.

So where would you suggest finding some of these more reputable editions?
>>
>>18337514
I like his apocalypse book and his splatterpunk stuff is entertaining if you're into nasty horror-porn ghoulishness. Haven't read anything else of his but I figure I'll get to a lot of it before long.

Amazon or other bookstores. Read some reviews, ask around.
You can find most of these and its recent editions on the internet anyway.
