i heard it works basically by traumatizing the subject as hard as you can with drugs, torture, rape etc. at a certain point the personality will split into different parts. one part which is the normal guy without all the torture and stuff, and the others are free to mold however you want. you implement a trigger, like you always give a kid a striped shirt to wear and whenever it doesnt do what you want it becomes tortured again to no end. without that shirt you treat him normally. by doing that the subject will get triggered into becomming obediant by wearing the striped shirt so he doesnt have to go through the torture again.
