Alright so I bought a legitmate dream catcher the other day. I actually traveled about 5 hours to get to a secluded Indian reservation and picked it up from a Chief who hand crafted it for me.
He didn't tell me anything about it or what to do, he just handed it over to me then blew some smoke on it from his pipe.
The thing is now its been like a week and I haven't been able to enter my own dreams. DO I need to use some incantations or prepare it a certain way? I have 0 way of getting in contact with the chief right now

Dream catchers are to stop bad dreams. I'm a tribal member. But they are from a different tribe. For stopping bad energy/dreams at night.
