Breaking a Curse

When I was a child I lived in New Orleans, my father, who ran away when I was about 8, had decided to move the family down there. My father practiced voodoo and Santeria. He had an idol in the house of ellagua, which he would spit wine on, place coins in its basket, and once he had baby chickens that were due for sacrifice. He had placed them in a plastic tub, with a lid on it. One day before going to the movies I looked inside the plastic tub to play with the baby chicks. When we came back, I opened the tub and the chicks had been completely... Exploded? They were mangled, not eaten, but just torn to shreds. Blood and entrails everywhere. My mother asserted that they were eaten by a dog. However, if they were eaten... Why were their entire remains still within the tub?

The most interesting experience I had with this "ellagua" figure, was the first night his idol was brought home. This was also my first experience with sleep paralysis. I overcame the sleep paralysis and when I awoke, I sat up from my top bunk. I looked down, and on my floor, I saw a man. He was dressed in a vest.. Gloves, among other things. Interestingly, his head was actually that of the rock idol my father brought home that day. He sat cross legged and was playing with my toys. He looked up at me. I then proceeded to scream and jumped from the top bunk, and ran to my parents room. In the morning, my father and mother sat in the living room. My father asked me to describe the figure I saw once more. When I did that, he pulled up a foto of ellagua on the Internet. It was strikingly similar to my description. My mom denied the entire thing, still does to this day.

Since then I have been plagued with sleep paralysis. It seems to come and go in waves. Sometimes it will occur 4-5 times a night, in a number of consecutive days. Sometimes it only happens once every 2 weeks. I can even get sleep paralysis while falling asleep in class. During SP I will see a translucent goblin creature standing over me, or that my body is being lifted up towards the window, as if to me float me away.

No one on x knows a way to break curses?

Adapt to it. Its only a curse if you see it as a curse.

My mom does white witchcraft, she's very open. I could ask her if she's wants to help u.

Go to a church an talk to a priest, it's impossible to break you're own curse.
Stay away from vodooo and follow the path of Christ. This the only way.

Clearly you're no capable handling a gift from a darker entity, i hope he will not get angry when you treat him like this.

No he didn't. That's like saying you practice hinduism and islam, theyre mutually exclusive religions. He may have had a spirituality which drew on both, but let us be clear you do not practice both at the same time. It is also possible he practiced magic originating from one or both traditions, but that is not the same as practicing the religion.

It's Elegua or Eleggua.. also the little head charms are for Eshu, not Elegua, but common misunderstanding.

I do not habeeb. At best I think youre exaggerating this. Santeria does practice sacrifice but to my knowledge, not of little chicks in a big blood bucket like this.

Unfortunately you were not introduced to the beliefs and practices in a meaningful way, and thus the appearance of elegua playing with your toys (look up the Nina de Atocha) was shocking and frightening instead of comforting, which it could have been had someone taken the time to explain.

I am hesitant to attribute your sleep paralysis to santeria or even less to Eleggua/Eshu, it's simply not his style, even if he's upset about something.

Have you seen a qualified sleep specialist about the issue?

SURPRISE, some sects of voodoo actually revere the Christ as a spirit of justice and solace for the downtrodden and wrongly punished, he is a great healer and spirit of mercy. Where is your black and white philosophy now?

Your head is stuck in a position where you are consistently manifesting bad luck for yourself because it's all you see. You need to focus on the fact that at this point, it can really only get better, and start imagining all the possible ways it could improve. It may be shitty now, but refocus on the numerous ways it could improve since its so bad. That will get you on the right path.

Legba and Eleggua are not the same thing. They may have similar origins and definitions, heck they may even be the SAME spirit, but comign from different backgrounds and different traditions give them different rules for being adressed and worked with, appealing Legba will not be as effective as working directly with Eleggua. You can ply multiple games with the same person, but poker cards have no place at a dice game, and dice have no place in a poker game. Different games, different rules, same person playing with you.

Highly ill advised. The Baron is a powerful figure, but until you have a better grasp on the ancestral traditions of this family of beliefs, courting him like this can be disastrous for you. Not because he is evil or bad, but because you are going to have a difficult time dealing with his responses. Samedi is also not the spirit of death.

Did I walk into a hollywood movie here? Graveyard dirt, and mojuba are both things that get used, but neither of them work the way you seem to think that they do. OP could work with a protective gris-gris, or maybe a mojo to Eleggua but until he knows whats going on, both of these may be pointless.
