You've got yourself a classic case of "Dogmen". They're not super natural, just a large species of canine (cenocephali) that can switch between bipedal and quadrupedal locomotion. OP was likely bored over the weekend with no plans. He entertained for a day imaginings of being part of a serious werewolf hunting party Halloween night while the rest of the mundanes are clueless.
Unfortunately he realized Sunday it wasn't real, and it really set in Monday he was either going to join those mundanes in their trick-o-treating or sit at home alone watching horror movies and now he's probably just getting on with his November like everyone else having accepted things. I'd do the same if I were you or who knows how long you'll be here.

I wouldn't bother asking anything from anyone else who claims to frequently see signs of anything yet never bothered during any of those purported incidents to gather anything.
