The reason we split is because I have a lot of trust issues. We were together for a long time and put up with it for a long time. Offered me access to everything to prove he wasn't doing anything wrong (never took him up, felt bad enough I was accusing him, would've felt shittier violating his privacy). We still talk constantly, and he says he wants to see me, but he's scared we'll fall back into the same patterns, so this is very relevant. Just started studying the tarot a few weeks back (as well as other random topics) on a whim. I'm an excellent public speaker and good at synthesizing new info from unrelated concepts, so this seemed like an interesting path to explore. I'm still learning, not doing much more than daily readings yet. At the advice of our FAQ, I chose a animal totem deck based on RW that, for lack of a better term, kind of spoke to me. Anyway, there are a few cards that seem to take on very different meanings when considering the animal message compared to standard RW interpretation. Does this "muddy" readings at all? Should I expect it to take longer for me to draw on both the regular meaning and the extra nuances of my cards, or will my subconscious handle that part? Honestly, how can you morally bullshit someone? As someone who finds this stuff hard to believe, I cannot see how this is helpful to someone. Sure, it might be a psychological tool, but I feel that can be done without the aid of the cards. The cards gives false hope, and what's worse, what if someone--and people somewhere down the road who may be impacted by a decision--ends up getting hurt? It's really kind of strange to call any reader other than Cheswick inaccurate. It just depends on who resonates with you, I really believe that. Rustig gave me a pretty damn accurate reading a few days ago. Sometimes readers are close, sometimes they're not. Experience plays a part for sure, but I don't think that means the reader isn't good.

I've personally tested Empath myself with multiple readings, they've been largely different every time.

For the first week I returned to /div/, all my readings were very spot on, they continued to stay spot on outside of Empath's readings.

He's a great guy though, so I can't fault him or anything, he adds a lot to these threads regardless.

Yes, not everyone does this, but it works both ways. Readers won't admit that they can possible be wrong and just go future changed bruh, while readers can be absolute assholes.

If they did something differently then you'd have had a different reading in the first place. Not everything is a butterfly effect. Like if you see someone two days ago in the first reading, then they're already there at that point in time, you've already seen it, so the chances that so many variables happened that its not there anymore, is so slim its ridiculous.

I think its real to a degree, but yeah a lot of it is guesswork usually. Like there can be several readers that all get the exact same thing, but then suddenly one or two readers are completely different out of nowhere? Something is odd with that, especially with all the readers being friends and hanging out and chatting usually in discord and irc and shit.

Well readers ask for feedback, if you point out they're inaccuracy then isn't that feedback as well? I mean what, you want us to just say "Wow that was very accurate, thank you."
