I used to have so many stories saved from some Russian guy. A lot were firsthand experiences of friends, family and accomplices and tales told by strangers. some were even folk tales from remote little towns he'd gone through in his time in the army.

I had them all on my phone and dropped it so I can't access them. I'd retell them but unfortunately they'd most likely be misremembered and i wouldn't want to taint them.

among the stories are a mysterious fungus that would grow over people that fell unconscious after breathing in its miasma, a bog that consumed an army convoy, future-predicting natives and a tribe of 7 foot tall red-haired shamanic people that lived in the mountains. there were stories of the valley of death too with the large spherical "pots", monolithic structures such as gargantuan walls, gateways and staircases too big for people in an area that has supposedly never been populated by anyone other than nomadic cultures.
