Hey /x/
As a kid I was always into all things occult. Nothing too crazy but just wanted to know more. I got into reading about palmistry and tarot. I later found out that my maternal great grandmother used to read tarot cards for a living as was pretty damn good. She passed away a few months after I was born but I always felt like I know her.
Could it be these gifts are passed down?
You are her.

And I am you.

I think everybody (or most people at least) can get access to these so called powers, but if your family is prone to have gifts, you might have a larger chance to develop them yourself.

I think interests can be passed down. I was surprised to find out that my dad was into art and poetry, and I'm kind of interested in his plan to get into woodworking when he retires. I also seem to share my mom's interest in the paranormal.
And I've heard plenty of stories about musical families - parents who play music have kids who play music. It could just be nurture rather than nature, but I can't be certain.
But, as Bob Ross would say, talent is a pursued interest.
