Why do people hate Tulpas so much on here? They are fruitful grounds for discussion (psychological vs paranormal interpretations) and at the least can provide for some ~spooky stories~ Pic related

Life is so boring, huh.

People here think demons are physical creatures and that cryptids are more reasonable to believe in than spirits, because after all, something material that's been materially falsified is much more plausible than something outside the capacity of current science to comment on. They think everything that isn't an angel is a demon. They think the fucking abramelin is the only way to contact one's HGA, even though HGA is recognized as largely interchangeable with other concepts like daemon, clan totem, and so forth by anyone who knows anything but hey, I guess every primitive third world savage who has the conversation of their clan totem must have performed the fucking abramelin, even though it wasn't even known in the western occult world until popularized by the Golden Dawn and later Crowley.
/x/ is full retard. Genuinely unforgivably stupid even in the context of the occult. I honestly think the purpose of /x/ is as a filter to keep the stupid away from the people who actually know anything.

Any other places you would recommend? That also sounds crazy, given that lots of cultures have similar ideas of 'magic' and supernatural entities it's bizarre to think a relatively recent idea like HGA is the only path to it.

The /x/ discords are marginally better. Ask around or keep your eyes open, I don't want to post the links here for obvious reasons.

I see. Do you like Jacques Vallee? The one UFO book I've read that really resonated with me was Passport to Magonia. Are you a fan? As for the sites, I understand why you don't want to post them, it's just hard to seperate the wheat from the chaff with any paranormal discussion, ya know?

So basically tulpas boil down to whether or not it's some idiot lying about having a pony in his head or a spirit brought out from a
highly misunderstood
buddhist ritual that a french woman
who was also a compulsive liar and oriental fetishist
'discovered' and brought back to the west.
Nice.
Some of the stories are cool though.
