There was a hunter in the woods, who, after a long day hunting, was in the middle of an immense forest. It was getting dark, and having lost his bearings, he decided to head in one direction until he was clear of the increasingly oppressive foliage. After a what seemed like hours, he came across a cabin in a small clearing. Realizing how dark it had grown, he decided to see if he could stay there for the night. He approached, and found the door ajar. Nobody was inside. The hunter flopped down on the single bed, deciding to explain himself to the owner in the morning. As he looked around, he was suprised to see the walls adorned by many portraits, all painted in incredible detail. Without exception, they appeared to be staring down at him, their features twisted into looks of hatred. Staring back, he grew increasingly uncomfortable. i think you missed the part where the author really spelled out exactly what was happening, but okay, i'll try.

1. kid likes to play catch with dad.
2. kid dies.
3. dad sees ball move by itself, begins to believe he's playing catch again with kid's ghost.
4. dad plays catch with invisible entity for a little while.
5. note from entity explains that dad was NOT playing catch with kid. dad was playing catch with some other entity who is in the same place as the kid. kid is described as having a bad time in that place.

what isn't spelled out, but kind of implied, is that the kid is in some kind of hell or limbo and the entity playing catch with dad was something like a demon. that doesn't really make sense because the entity claims to have wanted to learn how to play catch so it can make the kid happy, which is not generally something your torturer is interested in doing. so that's a bit mysterious and why i say it might be limbo or some other afterlife, rather than hell.

I've been looking for one recently, but for the love of God can't remember the name. It's something along the lines of "The Journal of Carmen Porter."

I wish I could remember more details, but it involved an anon who worked the night shift as an attendant at a nursing/care home of some sort.

There was this one crazy old woman who kept terrorizing him and trying to get him fired and it all culminated with her eating her own shit in front of him, throwing said feces at him, and anon using a cardboard cut out of a man to knock her over I think.

I thought it was both silly and yet strangely disturbing if you suspend disbelief.

I wrote several other creepypastas back around 2010. Didn't have any of them.

One was about a creepy Slenderman-like figure called Long Jack. Somebody did a youtube reading of that one and last I checked it had quite a few views.

One about a haunted house where paranormal investigators actually prove the ghost is real. More experts come in, eventualyl the government, with the ghost becoming more powerful all the time and eventually destroying the world because of it.

One about these guys who find an old pioneer cemetery in the woods behind their house. They dig it up and flee some unspecified horror.

One about ghosts that appear but only when people have their backs turned and aren't looking.

I think maybe there were a couple others but I've forgotten them. They were all just in .jpg format.

I remember once reading somewhere (but I think it was here) about the town in north part of Canada.
Apparently, one day everyone in the city dissapeard. There was a light storm that day, the radio contact with the town was cut because of that and when in the morning some guy from the neighbor town went there to check it out he found all the houses empty. The story goes that it seemed like the people just got up out of nowhere and walked in the storm somehtime in the night. There were unfinished dinners in the family houses, half drunken glasses of beer in local bar and abandoned cars with door open everywhere.
None of the 300 inhabitants of the town was ever seen again or heard about again. They tried to find them following their steps in the snow but it just lead them nowhere as the storm managed to hide most of the steps already.
There were different theories about what happened, some people claim it was aliens, some that it was Soviets (it happend in '70 so it's understandable that they got blaimed for that) and some that it was some kind of experiment with mind control.

I'd kill to know how the town was called so I could find some more about it.
