You have to admit, this world would be a better place if people thought they'd have to keep being reborn forever and there was no leaving existence even after death. We wouldn't run up obscenely high debt for the next generation to pay back or trash the environment and we would be more careful in raising children if we believe they would be our future parents and grandparents. We would also do more to colonize space if the extinction of the human race meant being reborn as cockroaches or whatever survived the next extinction-level event. I don't believe in reincarnation but there are advantages to the belief in reincarnation.
