I haven't read Memoirs of a Geisha.

A couple weeks ago on a day off I spent some time reading and watching a documentary about geishas. The documentary was Kyoto specific and followed a Maiko.

I may read that book one day. I appreciate the hard work that goes into the profession and the dedication to learning an art form. It seems that mentality and work ethic can be found in other areas in Japan like denim or sushi. I find it so admirable.

Then now I'm watching an anime series where I can see the overlap and historical references. It's really cool once you learn about something how you notice it other places.

Fuck yes I have been waiting for a divination thread to pop up on /x/. I have recently gotten into Lenormand, Tarot and pendulums. I am unsure about Tarot, but I think Lenormand is really working out for me, but I have only done readings for myself. Anyone here use Lenormand? If you do, do you have advice to share?
