Lucid dreaming is kinda easy to achieve. You need to some "mind training" first though. Doing reality tests. Meditation to enhance concentration and visualization. Things like that. Oh and a very good and helpful thing is to create your anchor.
Look down at your thumb everyday and ask yourself... "am I dreaming?" Obviously if you are awake the answer will be no. You will get into the habit of asking yourself that, and you will do it in your dream. When the answer is yes you will be aware you are dreaming and you will have total control of your dream.

Do something like this. I count my fingers on my right hand every time I walk through a doorway. When I'm dreaming the numbers are wacky, and it makes me realize I'm asleep. You need to get into some weird habit.
