Will time travel ever be possible? I want to go back and meet my grandfather. He fought in WW1 and 2 and seemed like a cool guy. He only got to hold me once when I was a child before he died of bowel cancer.

Unlikely.
However, creating virtual reality of a scene (I mean actual virtual reality, projected within your mind not the headset memery) in which you get to hang out with him. Would probably be decent enough and far more attainable. Obviously it wouldn't be him, but then you won't be disappointed when it turns out he was rapist and a really shitty guy or something.
How old are you? If he fought in ww1 he would have had to he born at 1896-1900 at the latest.

Thats the best you can do for yourself.

Time travel is already possible. You can only go forwards into the future, not backwards though.

i want to go back in time and kill your parents so you would never be born and I wouldn't have read your shitty post tbf
Yes. A source told me its through contact. I would imagine time travel is a necesity. Yes we do have to move forward to progress but we cant advance individually if we are dead. I think some have already traveled. The smart ones have traveled back the ones that seem to know more than they should. That could be u in few years filled with knowledge at a small age . You could be anything u want. Anyways i dont know how to mane contact but thats how its done or so i was told

I would like to meet my grandfather as well he was born in 1912. However, I would surely give up on meeting him for Tesla or Einstein.
The universe happens now.
Our memories are echos of now that reduce in intensity and fidelity, much like a wake from a ship. This creates our sense of a past.
Similarly, our brains are prediction machines, anticipatory systems, and it our anticipations that create our sense of a future.
To travel into the past it is necessary to maintain the intensity and fidelity of the echos of now. To travel into the future it is necessary to increase the intensity and fidelity of our anticipations.
In both cases, we need total information and this may not be possible.
