When i was young my dad would buy crappy goodwill/fleemarket toys and stuffed animals and we would mount them on fence posts and trees all around the farms in our area, just because it would possibly freak people out and so we could try to spot them whenever we drove by.

far as creepy shit goes i lived down the road from someone growing up who would put skulls from the cows or deer whatever he would butcher up on his poles did it for years and pretty much every pol on the guys land had one on it guy got old so did the fence when they replaced it he never bothered with putting a bunch of skulls back up and just kept a few up at the front.

i did ask his grandson about it one day and all he said was that his grandpa thought it looked cool from the way he said it i'm guessing the family did not really like that he littered the place with fucking skulls but did not want to get less from him when he passed so kept there mouths shut.
