X-files is like Ancient Aliens, they've gathered all the good writers and 'scholars' delving into each of such /x/ topics, and made a helluva good TV show with great production

X-Files isn't pretentious, like the homo glamor shows you get today like American Horror Story

it has that vibe you get watching films like Stand By Me or Shawshank Redemption

it doesn't get boring and tacky and blech like what you see with Law & Order

X-files is good, you're just a fucking edgy 15-year old millenial who thinks he's too cool for the show, thinks he knows better or would get better knowledge off a youtube video, reading a reddit post, or getting edgy on some christopher nolan shit

I kind of agree with you, except that there are some actually very good episodes but those are usually the comedic episodes. Everyone who isn;t entirely retarded considers the mythology arc to be bland at best.

Still it's considered good because of the effect it had on television and the general culture of "conspiracy theories" in the west.

But Twin Peaks is much MUCH better and holds up a lot better when compared to XF
