Relationships are hard. Don't get me wrong, my girlfriend is great, it's just that her family has always caused problems for us. They've never approved of me and always have drama bullshit going on. Recently her father died, which has been hard on her, and I've done my best to support her. I've got my own life and own problems, though.

It's tough, you know? But mostly we get on great. I went over to her place to spend time with her, a little Netflix and chill, just casual. One thing leads to another and we're making out, hot and heavy, and I get a call. I've got important work shit going on, so I excuse myself to take it. Sure enough, it's her fucking dad, going all, "What are you doing with my daughter?!" I just hung up, because fuck that jerk. I ought to tell my girl to get her parents to leave me be.
>>
A handful of these are... OKAY I guess, but most of them are "spot the plothole in my creepypasta" level of writing. It's a fun idea, crappy execution.

>>18188149
Did... did you just BUT WHO WAS PHONE us in long form?
>>
>>18188202

Agree with pretty much everything you said. But eh, it's more fun than a lot of what goes on in /x/ these days.

And yeah, I kind of threw out THEN WHO WAS PHONE as a secret handshake/ warm-up. I'll try some original stuff.
>>
>>18188023

Us Americans and the Brits have different ways of referring to floors. The murderer was actually on the same floor as them.
>>
>>18188023
>>18188227

More specifically, they call the floor that you enter a building the ground floor, the floor above that is the first floor, and so on.

We use ground floor and first floor interchangeably.
>>
I always hated our house's basement as a kid. The stairs got almost no light from above, and the light switch was all the way at the bottom of the stairs. Worst of all, though, was that we had those wooden stairs with no backing. I always felt like someone could just reach through and grab me. It was always a relief when my parents came down instead. They made fun of me for it, though. They never understood how scary dark basements are when you're a kid.
>>
>>18188221
"Guess the reference/meme/pasta" is fun too.

I never liked Halloween. Guess it goes back to the first Halloween I can remember. My sisters and I were so excited to go trick-or-treating. Jenny dressed up like a princess and Melissa had a great pirate costume. I was a ghost. We went house to house ringing doorbells, but because of my reputation (used to cause a lot of trouble in the neighborhood) I didn't get any candy. My sisters got compliments on their costumes and Snickers bars, but the neighbors wouldn't even look me in the eye. Yeah, I know, life's unfair, but there are some things you never recover from and I'll never enjoy Halloween.

October's here. Starting to get cold. It's always disappointing, my friends and I love summer. September's not too bad, but come October you have to face the fact, winter's on the way.

So we decided to have one last bash today. We went down to the beach, had a nice big bonfire, lots of drinks. We even buried Steve neck deep in the wet sand, he couldn't move a muscle! Lots of laughs. We left him stuck there as a prank, but don't worry, we didn't abandon him. It's only been like five hours, we're planning to go get him in a bit. Ahh... can't wait until next summer.

(Might do some more of these tomorrow, kinda fun.)

(Pics unrelated.)

I hate walking past the old Franklin house at night. Ever since they moved away without telling anyone a few months ago, it's been abandoned and uncared-for. Yet, even still... I always get the strange sense it's no empty.

Tonight I was walking past under a street light. I looked over and thought I saw something in a first story window. I blinked; there was a figure in the first-story window of the house, looked like a man with a black ski mask, staring back through the glass at me, with a knife in his hand.

I shuffled into a jog and got nearly an entire block before I slowed and stopped, feeling ridiculous. After mentally kicking myself, I resolved to go back and look, just to prove to myself that I was being silly.

I crept around the window at a little distance with my phone flashlight, shining it through the window. The room was empty. In fact, the room's door was boarded up from the inside. What I saw was impossible. I breathed a sigh of relief and chuckled to myself as I pulled the window back down and started walking home again. The things your imagination does to you on a long walk home in the dark!

7 - this one sucks. obviously his girlfriend is some kind of inanimate object. a blow-up doll? a pile of dirty laundry? there isn't enough information and it's not clear why this would be "spooky" except i guess the narrator is retarded and / or batshit.

20 - with most apartments, somebody who didn't have a key to your place could still lock the door but only from the inside. the intruder is waiting in the bedroom and the narrator is about to go to sleep. but why'd they ransack the kitchen, and why'd they bother to lock the door? it's still a bit random. maybe it's a squatter and they ate his food and are sleeping in his bed? maybe the intruder grabbed a butcher knife and is waiting to kill narrator? we'll never know what the brilliant author was thinking.
>>
>>18190945
His "girlfriend" was a broomstick, thats why she was "cleaning" at first and then she got thrown in the closet
>>
>>18187991
This one was a bit harder.
11 - he was counting her floor, he's going to her house
12 - the TV wasn't on, she was reaching for it. He was pointing at her reflection
13 - floors start at the ground floor in Europe, then first, then second, etc. The American tourists didn't realize they were on the second floor.
14 - he's the train driver. She threw herself in front of the train
15 - she went to the door holding a knife. She planned to kill hom

My motorcycle accident has really messed up my life. After several years in a coma, I figured the hardest part was being re-introduced back into my old life. I was wrong, the hardest part was trying to explain how I climbed up on to the ground six meters high.
>>
>>18188370
>>18188583
I fucking love Halloween and cold months.
>>
>>18193593

what do you mean
>>
>>18193878
I'm thinking the "spoopy" detail is that he climbed out of his grave after being buried when he was taken off life support due to his coma. Or the coma was him actually being dead several years.
>>
>>18188227
I thought the riddle was that police could not have locked down the stairs from the second to the third floor from the bottom, and that the husband and wife were really locked in with the killers
>>
>>18189395
ay shit man that's good spooks
>>
>>18194089
I thought that too but a six meter grave is super deep.
>>
>>18196641
Amerifag here, but that's what, roughly 20 feet?
>>
>>18196789
Yes. That's very close. This is why I think it's too deep for a grave. But I still like the theory.
>>
>>18196641
They probably meant six feet.

>>18188256
The boy is locked in the basement

the pronoun "she" in "she was cleaning" is extremely ambiguous. i read it as "mom was cleaning" and that's why the dirty inanimate object gets thrown in the closet.

but okay, say it's a broom, that's kind of clever... it still doesn't make any fucking sense. who the fuck thinks a broom is their girlfriend? what's spooky about it?

Nice. Reading them again, it's weird how they start sounding like Rodney Dangerfield jokes.

"Boy, I tell ya, I get no respect. No respect at all. My neighbor's a cannibal, helps himself to whatever he wants with me. I mean, I'd do something about it, but I don't really have a leg to stand on, ya know?"

>>18197793

Heh. Accidental.
>>
>>18198185

It's just too vague, inconsistent, and open-ended to be spooky, leaves too many unanswered questions. For example, the guy says that he and his "girlfriend" come to visit. So what, then, the mother's only issue with her son bringing a mop (or whatever the fuck it's supposed to be) to her house regularly is that it's a little dirty?

But hey, they can't all be winners.
>>
>>18187984
1. He turns the lights on twice, but never turns them off inbetween
2. He >definitely< knows it wasn't human meat, meaning he knows the taste
3. The bookcase the girl was behind was against a wall
4. Implied that he killed his friend to study on his body
5. Whatever the girl was running from missed the elevator and is coming down the stairs

>>18187987
6. It wasn't suicide, duh
7. Alice is a towel
8. Burglar was the guy screaming. The writer murdered his family (why else would the burglar run instead of killing him too)
9. Implied that the writer was drunk himself and pushed her down the stairs
10. He dropped the hair-drier into the bathtub = death? Not sure, after all why the fuck would he blow-dry while still in the tub?

>>18187991
11. He was counting the floors/apartments and took note of exactly where the writers lives.
12. He was pointing at the reflection in the TV screen, probably the writer herself
13. They count floors differently in London. The murderer is on their floor.
14. The guy works as the train machinist. The woman committed suicide in front of the train and he saw her face splattered in front of him
15. She said "I thought it was you!", yet she took the butcher knife with her to the door. It's implied she wanted to murder the writer

>>18187994
16. He probably got his baby bro killed by feeding him those sweets.
17. The writer is the murderer, as evident by the fact that he knows exactly what the weapon looks like yet it hasn't been found yet.
18.The last entry is from May, yet she died in April
19. The four people he killed are his family. The murders aren't why he was in prison, either. They happened after he got released.
20. He didn't lock the door when he left, but unlocked it when he got home.
>>
>>18189365
The writer is the guy with the ski-mask and knife, seeing his own reflection.
He doesn't see his reflection when he goes back to check, because he 'crept around it at a distance' and probably wasn't properly in front of it, not to mention you can't see your reflection when you're shining a flashlight into the window.

He probably just murderfucked someone
>>
>>18201216
no dummy, the guy opened up the window and left which is why the writer pulled the window back down.
>>
I think you guys are missing something on #10. How could he use the light from the TV if the electricity in the whole building had gone out? Guessing the "I took a bath" part was to establish why the tub was still full of water.
>>
>>18201464
>How could he use the light from the TV if the electricity in the whole building had gone out?
thats the entire point of the story, and has been said many times in this thread
>>
I witnessed a horrible accident today. I wanted to cross the street and was waiting for the light to turn green when a man bumped into me. He didn’t even say sorry. I was about to give him a piece of my mind and tell him to watch where he was going, but then I noticed he had a cane. He didn’t seem elderly. There must have been something wrong with his legs. Just then, my phone started ringing. The high-pitched ringtone is really annoying. Before I could answer it, there was a screech of tires and a dull thud. The man who bumped into me was lying in the middle of the street in a pool of blood. His sunglasses were lying nearby, cracked and broken. The driver got out and yelled, “He just jumped out right in front of me!” The driver thought it was a suicide, but I think the man was just clumsy and didn’t look where he was going. It was his own fault. He should have been more careful.
>>
>>18203984
The man with the cane is blind, and the other man's high pitched ringtone must have sounded like the safe to cross noise some intersections have for the visually impaired.
>>
>>18193593
>>18193878
>>18194089
>If he was in a coma, how did he climb anywhere?

I don't know. Stab in the dark.
>>
I live on the 8th floor of my apartment building. I always take the elevator. One day, when I came home from work, I heard something strange in the elevator… Kishikishi Kishikishi… It was a weird scratching sound coming from outside the elevator. I listened to it all the way to my floor… Kishikishi Kishikishi… It sounded like some kind of creature scratching the elevator with its claws. The noise sent shivers down my spine. Eventually, I got to my floor and when the doors opened and I stepped out, the sound stopped. I went into my apartment. That night, around midnight, I was awoken by a low, dull sound.
>>
>>18201216

Wrong.

>>18201453

Right.
>>
>>18204658
Wait, so what's scary about that?
He just closed it and went home.
>>
>>18204669

The open window was closed before when he saw the masked man. The masked man with the knife is real, and he could be anywhere, but he's definitely close.
>>
>>18204621

The elevator cable was frayed, which caused the anomalous noises the prot heard. The low noise in the night was the cable snapping and the elevator crashing to the bottom floor, killing whoever was unfortunate enough to be riding it at the time.
>>
>>18203984
>>18204231

If this is the correct answer, then the prot is exceedingly dense. He sees a not-old person with sunglasses, a cane, and the pathing abilities of a video game escort mission, and fails to realize the person is likely blind, even after the accident? Not only that, but he uses a ringtone he hates?

The unreliable narrator can be a useful tool, but I wouldn't trust this guy to recite a grocery list.
>>
What the hell?
/x/ has only 7 pages now?
