Cryptids preferred, I'm trying to stock up stories for camping with the girlfriend next weekend so we can get well spooped in the tent.
I have a few to bump with
>tfw had a giant archive of these at work but got fired and never will be able to access that computer ever again
>folder's probably deleted anyway
>>18164814
That's why you don't save this shit on your work computer, dumbass, no wonder you got fired. And in all that time, you weren't smart enough to think to copy it or e-mail it to yourself?
Bamp
I hope someone can help me, has anyone heard this before?
I read once about a ape like creature that was attacking a secluded village near a mountain range (china, japan or korea can't remember) a very long time ago (maybe 15th-18th century)
It would attack people at night when they were alone and it killed several children. They ended up calling in a european hunter who managed to track and kill the animal.
It was described as having 'spikes' (like a porcupine) and a long snout, maybe around 4-5ft tall. It's caucus was described as smelling so foul that the locals had to burn it and it was never identified.

That's highly interesting, bump this comment.

Where did everything go so wrong

I feel your pain. Just do what you can to fight the cancer.
Does anyone have the one where the guy was part of a park ranger group or something and this "god of the forest" thing that was like a deer, but tall enough to step over 6' walls and had spike-death antlers and did spooky noises, walked through the dude's camp?
gonna dump some

Dogmen are real and scary.
>>18166025
Hard to tell without a more detailed description, as the quills stuck in the creature could have come from another animal. Most cryptids are reported as foul smelling so that's just common. Anyway, no idea what it could have been without more info.
Two common things I see whenever I read about encounters with fucked up shit like that.
>All animal noise in the area stops immediately.
>There's a smell of rot and death in the air.
This is a constant, enduring element in all of these cryptid/skinwalker/non-ayy encounters. Anybody else notice that? Maybe people could use it as a way to know when they might get their shit fucked soon, when they go innawoods.
Bump?

>the generator is smoking and half melted
>there's a black streak running from the door to the front corner of the trailer
I've seen the Maine Taxi dude's stories a whole lot and the first one always confuses the shit out of me. Did the Indians summon like, a lighting god or something from that trunk to smite the loggers?

>chalked it up to typical Scotch-Irish Appalachian folklore
>have been hearing weird unexplained shit here in the sticks lately
>can't be from an animal
>tfw Gramma was right about this stuff

>>18169739
True shame.
I've got a short one, Not spooky or scary in any way. But it was unexplained and innawoods so here it is.
>school trip with class, just one day and at teachers cabin across a lake
>Just a day of fishing, filetting any fish we catch. Hiking and finding walking sticks and what not.
>Normal innawoods field trips.
>Around noon, after lunch we go on a hike.
>just around the forest on a trail.
>i do a little exploring on the side
>just climbing steep cliffs seeing what's around off of the trail
>i find this tree
>kind of like a maple, but it is not canadian
>or like any canadian maple i have ever seen.
>half the leaves were red, other half green.
>not like mixed together as would be normal for the season.
>half the branches of the tree held only red leaves
>the other half of the branches held only green leaves.
>i didnt take a picture because no technology as it would sully nature
>pic related was the leaves except they were longer and spikier.
>i decide like the retarded faggot that i am to take a branch.
>i took a small sprout hanging close to the ground of red leaves.
>jump off the cliff down back to the trail
>still have the leaves
>after rejoining the group something hits me in the back of the head
>Hard.
>some asshole threw a chunk of stone with an iron pyrite vein at me.
>not bleeding but it fucking hurts.
>look behind me to see who threw it at me
>i'm at the back of the group, there is no one behind me who could have thrown it at me.
ending in next part
>>18190342
Final part
>i'm a little weirded out.
>someone ahead of me points out that there is no noise.
>Teacher is now concerned because this was a forest.
>there should always be noise in the forest.
>We decide to keep moving, just because there is nothing else to do.
>teacher looks behind, notices me with the branch of red leaves.
>he looks kind of surprised, maybe scared?
>i'm not good at emotion reading.
>Anyways, he gets pissed.
>tells me immediately to get rid of the branch
>Specific instructions in getting rid of it.
>find a big maple tree, like really big.
>i shouldnt be able to wrap my arms around it.
>i have no clue why, but i respect him and he's never steered me wrong before.
>find a tree like he described.
>next step, Find a root above ground.
>plant the branch with the broken end right beside the root
>mangled pieces of the branch must be in contact with the root.
>again i follow his instructions
>still don't know why.
>i do it anyways, just because i keep having rocks thrown at me and teacher is getting increasingly angry at me
>as soon as i plant the branch (not sure why he said plant, it shouldnt be able to grown as only a branch)
>anyways as soon as the branch is planted i walk away.
>the group moves on
>after a few minutes the sound returns to the forest
>im no longer being pelted by rocks
>alls well that ends well.
And that's it. A few days later i asked what was going on with my teacher and why he freaked out and why i got pelted by rocks. he said some bullshit about the tree being spiritual and that by breaking off a branch i was being disrespectful to the forest. the only way to fix it was by allowing the branch to claim another tree.

Not the guy who requested, but thanks. Where's the rest of it? OP said he'd do the "reveal that he knows in public to the skinwalker" strat, but there's no new thread link.
I'm sorry to ask this from you. I hate making people spoonfeed as much as anyone else, but it's the feeling that I have to know how it ends, you know? Because this shit is good, and I need to read the rest, if it exists.
>>18190342
>>18190343
Its common for teachers to yell at kids for taking things like that on field trips. If every snotty little kid walked by and took a branch, soon there would be no branches. The teacher probably didn't want to be the reason why the school couldn't come back. Some plants can regenerate from a cutting or something like that as long as there is a piece of the stem intact. He was probably hoping something like that would happen.

fuck that shit
Boy oh boy do I have a spooky story for y'all. Literally just happened this morning.
>Get back to house after dropping brother and sister off at school
>Super foggy morning, was driving like 10 below the whole way there and back so I didn't crash and get myself or siblings killed
>Decide to take a little walk in the "woods" in my neighborhood (really just a tiny patch of trees with one trail), since it's a foggy October morning so why not? Gotta get in the Halloween spirit somehow
>I'm home alone because I don't have any classes today
>Neighborhood is really quiet because everyone is at work or school
>Browsed this thread last night, so spoops n jitters are in the back of my mind
>Walk into the trees, something white runs by really fast
>Heart stops
>Realize it's just a bunch of deer
>Take super aesthetic picture of foggy forest deer and head home
>Turn on all the lights because I'm a massive pussy
>Curtains in my room are closed until the fog lifts because I don't want to look at the window and see someone/something looking back at me through the fog
Pic related it's the deer. It was a bit unsettling to have them watching me with their black eyes through the fog, but that's what I get for waking into foggy trees by myself.

Please excuse any typos, I typed that on my phone while eating a blueberry muffin
>>18196519
Anon, you are a faggot. Like, seriously dude, man up.
>>18164390
What I don't get about this story is why did they take Adderall? Shit causes paranoia and sometimes halucinations, which takes credibility from the story, and you should NOT be around guns if you get pumped on it. You might just randomly stick that fuck in your mouth, but even if you don't it'll seriously dick up your aim. If you want to party or study for a test, Addy's cool but if you're in a survival situation, stay sober.

This is the second greentext I've seen about creatures with bent-back knees who seem to live in huge packs, scream, glide around, and follow a set of rules (in the other greentext, the "rule" was they weren't supposed to come out until after the sun had set). Anyone know what folkloric creatures they could be, assuming they're not totally made up?
