Correct! Also known as the "casting of lots" or "sortes" (hence "sortilege") OR it's most recent name: cleromancy (divination by "randomness")

Greek oracles, or just oracles, are a very archaic method. We no longer erect temples to the gods and have dedicated oracles at these temples to speak on their behalf. Very few people nowadays rarely visit a diviner, in person, on a daily basis, or let alone once a month.

There was a spooky method of divination by the Greeks where a querent was expected to crawl into a claustrophobic grotto. Querents were reported to hear voices emanating from within the caves...

Another is Molybdomancy. In this method, hot metal (typically lead) was poured into cooling water and then extracted. The random arrangement of the liquid metal (now a solid shape) was interpreted. No one uses this method, at least, to my knowledge, anymore.
