>>
>>18151780
Yeah that one really got to me.

I think the proposed reasons behind the Mandela Effect are more interesting though, like CERN fucking with the timestreams (accidentally or otherwise). It makes sense because spacetime is an intertwined fabric. Relativity is a relatively proven theory, and you can only imagine what smashing 2 particles together in a 17 mile long tunnel at near light speed does to the time aspect of the spacetime fabric. Ripples for days, to put it loosely.

There's also talk on /pol/ that that Shadilay P.E.P.E. song was "memed into" our timeline when /pol/ was going crazy worshipping Kek a few weeks ago.
>>
>>18151760
Well, about 2 years ago I bought an old jewelry box at the goodwill. They had wrote 1.29 on the bottom of the box in ink, and I remember scrubbing that off.

I also remember drawing leaves and vines on the bottom of the box and planned to sand and paint the rest of it later because other projects came up. So, I ended up setting the box on the very back of my desk and over time more items accumulated on top of the box until I decided to re-organize this week.

I picked up the box and looked at the bottom and saw the vines and leaves I had drawn have now vanished, and the price of 1.29 in black ink is back like I had never scrubbed it off. However, I remember scrubbing the ink off and drawing on it. What is crazy is that I have not moved that box in 2 years, and no one goes into my home office. So, it does not make sense to me.
>>
seeing all these psuedo scientist at work is an absolute JOKE!
Your memory just sucks, just because I got a question wrong on a test does not mean an alternate universe was created lol!

>>
>>18152440
Also, the film is now much much more graphic, like you see JFKs brains literally getting blown out of his head. I never saw that once in my life until recently, and I have seen just about everything you could see about the JFK assassination.

Seriously speaking though. I'm so happy I found this term "Mendela Effect". Thought I was a bit nutty a few years back when he died the second time. Starting doubting my mind. Felt so wrong.

Someday we'll figure it out.
>>
>>18151872
More convincing than most. I asked my friends last night if it was Sex and the City, or Sex in the City. They also remembered it As IN the city, which is now different in this reality.

We all had to look it up ourselves on own phones cause we all remembered it differently than now, in this reality.

James Duval was the lead in Jeepers Creepers not Justin Long. His eyeless face at the end of the movie freaked me the fuck out for a long time after seeing it. You can't pass that off as a poor recollection of events when it is such a vivid and near traumatizing memory.

the pronunciation of the band Die Antwoord which that one is one that I personally had hit me and haven't heard from anyone else yet. I swear to fuck I saw them on letterman and he pronounced the band Die as in dead Ant Word and I watched countless videos and interviews about them I really liked the band for a few years I made a point to look up and figure out how to pronounce their name because when I see the word die as a foreign language I automatically want to say Dee and pronounce W's as V's because I took German in Highschool and every video interview concert etc. pronounced it Die as in Dead. Ant Word. Well to make a long story short July of this year every video I ever watched suddenly started pronouncing it Dee UntVert. Letterman said AntWord but he still said Dee when I know he said Die before

I remember years ago hearing this one joke of the Simpsons on /co/, the joke is pic related. Homer says "I'm the first non-brazilian person to travel back in time" or something like that.
Well, it seems that nobody knows what that joke mean, not even the people involved making the episode. But I remember back them, I actually looking for an explanation on the web and there were a clear explanation about it.
The thing is I don't remember what it was and every theory that I read on it now doesn't strike me as believable as the one I read years ago was.

Pikachu's tail has always been yellow

Sex AND the city

There has always been 6 people in the car at the time of JFK's assassination

I can go on and on, but the fact is the only people who call out these "edited" things are on online forums. If any of this had weight to it you would hear from very famous people calling attention to it, even people like Alex Jones would have a field day with it.

I'm sorry that so many of you young buds are just now realizing the lack of attention you give the world around you..

Judging by the above exchange, I'm guessing that it hasn't.

> If any of this had weight to it you would hear from very famous people calling attention to it, even people like Alex Jones would have a field day with it.

Not anymore. It ends abruptly after "and we are the champions".

The shill explanation is that he says it in the middle, and so naturally people feel like it should have been at the end as well; or, that he sang it once at a famous concert and that's where it came from, but the original recording never had it

>>
>>18153741
If you have a strong memory of something being different than what is the case in your current universe, then that is because you are originally from a parallel universe where that actually was the case, and your memory is residual. If your memory of something matches that of the current universe, then you either have always been from a universe where that was the case, or your residual memory did not make the switch to the current universe intact.

>>
>>18153837

>>
>>18153634

The interesting thing about it is that we've reached a point, largely thanks to the internet, where the idea of questioning consensus is so natural that it's reached the level where I'd your own memory is at odds with the official reality, you call reality into question rather than your memory.

It's a process that's been going I got she's, and the Mandela effect is its natural apogee.

Eventually the concept of history is going to be so fluid and fractured that people will be able to tell you anything, and it will be as "true"as it needs to be.

Eurasia is at war with Oceania. Eurasia has always been at war with Oceania.

Incidentally, it was always nineteen eighty-four in my reality, now it's 1984. The fuck?
>>
>>18153858

The point of my post is its always been "dee aunt-voord", because that's how it's always been pronounced. I've never seen ninja bloke or that weird looking visser woman pronounce it any other way.

Americans pronounce Spanish like a bunch of cunts and they actually learn that in "school", how the fuck do you expect to remember our pronounce Afrikaans?

This is the most retarded piece of evidence for Mandela effect I've seen yet. Well done.

I remember President Bush reading a book to children when he found out that the towers were hit. Bush was reading and someone interrupted him, whispered in his ear, Bush paused and then kept reading. I remember the rest of the story being unifying and powerful.

Now I can't find that video anywhere, all I can find is the children reading to Bush, reciting words eerily relevant to the incident, and he sits there in silence.

Now I remember for the life of me, that Bush had taken some line out of that children's book, and made it resonate with strength and protecting America. But now it's so different, not as all as I remember it.
>>
>>18153871
Whoa, what? I definitely remember that too but didn't know it was different because I never felt the need to look it up again. What the fuck?
>>
>>18153871
iirc their teacher makes them recite words and sentences off of a vocabulary board or something, and then he reads to them or the other way around, either way I remember both happening but not the children saying anything relatable to the attack.
>>
>>18153881
But I also remember someone interrupting Bush while he was reading to whisper in his ear, not while the children were reading.

And they say recite the words: steel (steal), plane, hit, and some others. All on youtube, unless it changed again...
>>
>>18153888
Yes, that is exactly what I remember seeing in the news back then. Him reading to kids, the guy whispering in his ear about what happened, and him continuing to read so as to not scare the kids. I just watched the video on Youtube, and it's just him sitting there awkwardly watching the kids reciting words from a lesson the teacher is leading.

Well done. I hadn't heard this one before. I remember it now, vaguely, I think, from watching Michael Moore's documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 years ago in 2012 or 2013.

My memory might not be serving me right. The one thing I remember was that look of shock in his face.
>>
>>18153909
How old are you? If you are at least 20 years old, then you can be confident that you are correct if you are finding many of these examples familiar.
>>
>>18153871
You have got to be shitting me. I recall Bush being on 60 minutes and the interviewer asks him how he felt as the Secret Service agent whispers to him about the attacks.
>>
>>18153953
I'm 27, and I'm definitely recognizing many of them. Some I think are easily explained away as just normally confusing spellings of products like Febreze with real words like breeze causing people to remember it as Febreeze instead, but many are much more obviously changed. It's alarming. I am no tinfoil hat, but this seems like it could be the real deal.

I think glitches are possible, however, all the popular ones like nobody remembering how a certain word was spelled are retarded.

Certain things have happened to me personally where there was a "glitch" of some kind. There's only one way to walk home to and from my work, and my husband was walking there to meet me since I got off late at 11pm one night. We totally missed each other somehow, on a singular straight path there. I called him when I got home, and he was there waiting for me at work, wondering where I was. We both felt really weird during the walk too, like something was off.

Another one was I'd always go with my friends to their house after school, we rode the bus and then we'd walk the same path there each day. There was an empty lot on the way there, and then one day there was just suddenly a house there. It was an old, abandoned house though, which is something I'd definitely remember. There was no more empty lot anywhere on the path there. None of my buds remembered the empty lot, and they all thought I was an idiot.

Again, I've been skeptical about all of this, despite remembering brands, titles, logos, etc. differently. I considered the possibility that I was remembering things wrong because I never paid much attention to those things to begin with. But with the jfk video, I specifically remember it being black and white and seeing the driver turn around before jfk was shot. There was a huge conspiracy theory about it, I've talked about it with friends before. Now you can barely see the driver through the length of the film and the conspiracy theory seems to be that his wife shot him, which wasn't even in the discussion. Sorry, but I trust my memory on this one. Feel free to share how you remember the incident, it's really interesting to me if the current video is how other people have always remembered it.

"People misremember pop culture and blame it on alternate universes."
>>
>>18155457
If you take into account the multiverse theory and the observer in special relativity it kind of makes sense.
Maybe human beings and perhaps other sentient beings have the power to travel through the multiverse.
If so then one day your consciousness is in universe A, but you using that power subconsciously would land you in neighboring universe B.
If you assume neighboring universes are more similar then distant ones, then perhaps you'd from one moment to another move your consciousness to one where perhaps your boss doesn't completely hate your guts any more.
Or small things like the name of a book, person.
It would make sense from an evolutionary perspective that we'd develop something like this that might perhaps not be understood by science.
And the best part is you wouldn't be able to verify it, because in the world you travel to the fact that was changed is taken for granted, save for maybe other people who traveled, assuming it works that way.
The human mind is also very adaptive. For example the experiments on peer pressure show that you'd easily accept the new fact as always being there.

idk about the pop culture stuff but some of the bible ones are kinda weird

I grew up in the Church and had quite a few verses committed to memory and lots of those have seemingly been altered. even though im not part of any church or religious anymore they seem to be changed for sure

there's also a bunch of things in the KJV that seem to be off. like moses coming down the mountain with horns sprouting from his head (instead of bright rays of light after being blessed by seeing god) or where jesus commands his disciples to bring him unbelievers so that he may slay them (instead of showing them the way). the infamous lion and the lamb section seems totally different but maybe I read it in a different version of the bible

there's a bunch of weird words that seem to be switched from what I recall that other that more churchy people agree seem wrong (even my old pastor seemed kinda weirded out when the 'altered' verses are brought to his attention) but who knows. probably just shitty memory

I mean since it was man that wrote the bible then in truth modern day Christians are going down the wrong path since many seem to idolize the KJV

the bible has been changed and has had whole books omitted over the years depending on who publishes it. look at all the different versions floating around today for example

if i were religious I'd say that the fact that the bible was written and edited by man then means it wouldn't be farfetched for it to change suddenly and seemingly supernaturally. some people say the bible M.E.s are solid proof of the Strong Delusion prophesied to signal all the end of the world shit in Revelations... but considering how watered down the book probably is today then it's really just another text susceptible to changes -- regardless of how illogical they may seem
>>
>>18155666
And that's how you remember it. That would mean you've always existed in the physical reality where that has always been true. Perhaps your alternate self is in this same thread arguing that there were always 6 people in the car when the evidence suggests there was 4. And maybe my alternate self is telling you that it's always been this way, and nothing you say is valid because your memory has no relevance to the history presented before you. I just don't get why people have such an issue with this theory. If we can't challenge things that don't seem right to us then we might as well surrender our conscious minds altogether and let other people fill that void for us.
>>
>>18155501
cant logically explain the jfk one, but i went and did some reading on the human body one and i think it all comes down to bad representations of the human body. like medical textbooks you learnt from in school not being completely accurate, or maybe the ones you're looking at now aren't completely accurate. i've seen the human body be depicted in lots of different ways.

i will say this though, i distinctly remember the intestines being in a zig zag pattern, but when i look up pictures of the intestines now.. theyre all jumbled.

but again, that's probably just the way the intestines were depicted in my high school science text books.

the jfk one is creepy though, but i don't know a lot about jfk to speak on that particular theory
>>
>>18155719
Yeah, I get that. All of it was written by man. But if it was written by man through God then it simply shouldn't be wrong. If we're able to throw all of our translations out the window then we're back at square one and have no idea who God is anymore. I just say that regarding the people who do accept the Bible as God's word.
>>
>>18155730
what evidence suggests there were 4 people in the car? there is nothing that has every suggested that there was only 4 people in the car, not in this reality or the alternate reality that we are mingled with. please show some proof that there were only 4 people.
>>
i think also with this theory, especially with regards to the human body one. either some people woke up one day and their skeletons changed completely and either they noticed or didint notice..or there are some humans inhabiting this earth with different skeletons than others and i think coroners would notice that kind of shit.. imagine you're doing an autopsy on someone and they have a skeleton you've never seen before in your entire life.. or you're doing surgery on a patient and their stomach is in a completely different place.

i feel like if this was a real thing that there would be a lot more actual rock solid evidence of some humans having different skeletons, unless you're all insinuating that it's being covered up...

Yeah, the intestines don't look right at all. But you're right, it could just be that we were shown something else years ago. Personally, my body feels different than it used to. I have specific memories of drinking something cold and feeling it go straight down into my stomach. I haven't felt that sensation in a while, and I recently learned that my stomach is on the left. So all the memories I have of the human body, both visually and physically, perfectly contradict the way things are now. It certainly seems like a crazy thing to say, so I get why people are kind of over hearing about it, but it's hard for me to dismiss the things that I once knew.
>>
>>18155762
I don't actually remember how many people were in the car. I used that as an example because that's what people seem to be arguing about. I just remember the video being in black in white, the driver looking back a couple times, then jfk getting shot. The theory was that the driver shot Kennedy and the video supported that. I don't remember him having to shoot over the other people in the car though, so I would have said there were 4 people just based on that. I just saw a video where it shows the driver looking back before he got shot though, so I'm not sure about it having anything to do with the Mandela effect anymore, unless it changed over night lol
>>
>>18155857
if it makes you feel any better i still have that sensation when i drink water i feel it go right down to my stomach. so i would say it's probably just the way your body has grown and changed as opposed to a change in the entire universe. although i dont know anything about the stomach being to the left i always rememebered my stomach as being directly in the centre just under the lowest ribs.. i get a lot of stomach aches (chronic illness) and that's where the pain comes from?

it's definitely very confusing

Not true. There are some memories that are certainly hazy and I am open to the idea that I just don't remember well. You do know that there are different versions of the Bible, all agreed upon by human beings? So all these different denominations committed a capital sin, altering the word of God?
Stop being such a Bible Belt bible thumper and become aware of the fact that there are other countries outside the US where different versions of the Bible are common knowledge.

It's more complex than that... and modern quantum physics actually confirms that such a thing is theoretically plausible.
We are talking about many different universes here, each one of them with little differences and some of them (with the version of yourself that was in them) merged. They merged and we merged as in, I would have many bodies and many minds but one soul that unifies them. Some of those minds are merged because the Universe where they lived was destroyed. Problem is, the merge was not perfect and some residual memories have survived and are now conflicting with the current host reality.
I tried to be as clear as I could but I probably fucked it up even more for you, didn't I.

A similar thing happened to me and my brother just a few days ago. He rang me to hang out as you do, and we both realized that we were really near each other coincidentally. So we stayed talking on the phone until we met. Thing was it was taking so long, and I started asking him where exactly he was. He had somehow had gone right by me, and I had gone right by him without either of us noticing. We had taken the same streets in an effort to see each other too, so it shouldn't have been possible.

I wasn't weirded out by it or anything, didn't give it much thought at all until now if I'm honest.

I think this is just a very interesting phenomenon of mass delusion.

Very, very interesting though. Suggestion is one thing, but it's incredible how many people have wrong recollections that are exactly the same even before being suggested anything concrete.

I read a few reddit threads. They like to begin with "take a look at this, tell me what's wrong" rather than telling you outright, so as to avoid suggestion as best as possible. Without being suggested anything except for "something is wrong", I could have sworn that:

- Korea and Japan are at picture related.
- New Zealand is northeast of Australia.
- No dash in Volkswagen (total bullshit by the way, because it was so hard to notice that you'd never guess it was there)
- No squiggle in Ford
- Kit-Kat, not KitKat

And perhaps even a few others. It's just that for these, I wasn't even told what the Mandela Effect version is - just that something was off about them.

As a matter of fact, the Korea/Japan was what triggered me first. I heard about the Berenstein/Berenstain (which means nothing to me) and "geographical changes" - but I haven't read or heard which changes yet. I just looked up the world map at immediately recoiled at where Japan and Korea are in relation to China.

It was extremely interesting to me to find out that somebody else had the exact same delusion I did, as you can tell by picture related.

The reason why I'm convinced it's a delusion rather than a CERN experiment or whatever is not because I'm a proud skeptic, but because there is some total bullshit being thrown around. "Sex In The City"? Really now? Back in the day, everyone and their dog *thought* this was the name of the show until they were corrected. Is it really a stretch to accept that some of you just weren't corrected? I know it was Sex And The City because I know how it was translated locally. How is it a stretch at all to assume that other spelling related Mandela Effects are just shared misconceptions?

So I'd like to see some references of similar shared delusions that have been recorded in the past. Have any been recorded? I'd like to know what it is that makes different human brains assume the same wrong things before they get a chance to influence each other.

Okay, I'm going to attempt to reason with you. Take a look at this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirror_Mirror_%28film%29

That is a film named "Mirror Mirror" made a few years ago—if we accept that people claim ME happened in 2012 or 2011, the film would have been conceived of and in production before then.

Now, this film, it's based off Snow White (it was made during Hollywood's fairy tales adaptations phase). You seem like you know the famous phrase from that story to be "Magic mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?", spoken by the queen. Okay.

Tell me, why would this film title itself with the incorrect quote? Why is it not called "Magic Mirror"? That's not even a bad title for a film. Yet it's "Mirror Mirror". Why is that? Because it was "Mirror, mirror, on the wall...". And if you accept this, you must accept that at least some aspects of ME are really true. Or I'll huff and I'll puff and I'll blow your house DOWN. X^D

How much did you care about Sex And The City before you heard about the mandela effect?

>>
>>18158863

What you just said is precisely the reason why I believe this "Mandela Effect" is just interesting mass delusion rather than an actual change in timeline/s. In the original Grimm Brothers story, it was indeed "mirror, mirror on the wall". It's only Disney who have a "magic mirror" version.

I don't understand how is it a stretch to assume that you've projected "mirror mirror" on the Disney cartoon because you assumed it would be there? Do you watch this cartoon every day and you can confirm with 100% certainty that the cartoon too was always "mirror mirror"?

Similar with "Luke, I am your father". It's not hard for me to believe that it was always "No, I am your father" because popular culture continued to misquote it like this. Same for "life was/is a box of chocolates". These kind of things happen. How do you think you'd react if you found out about this without ever knowing about the "mandela effect"? Wouldn't you just shrug and say "huh, that's interesting, never knew that" rather than jump to conclude that past has changed?

These things are not even interesting and easily explained. Far more interesting is the 4/6 people in the car JFK thing, with people who claim to have seen the footage dozens of times and studied it closely and they swear up and down it was always four people. But even with an example like that, it's hard to prove anything with 100% certainty. It's entirely possible that multiple people have simply been blind to this side of the story - but why exactly? Seems kind of relevant. The why is what interests me. Brain works in strange ways and memory is a fickle thing and quite interesting to study. To just assume the brain is a-ok and that past is what's different is very naive. Let's instead figure out how did it come to pass that we share identical flaws in our memory.

You should also consider the possibility where there is a lot of garbage being reported but there is also a core of reports that are not easy to dismiss.
