Any people from Northeast PA here? The Suscon Screamer Urban Legend: Bride is left at the alter, goes to this bridge and hangs herself. If you drive through it at night, you are supposed to hear a scream.
I drove through it by myself at midnight, I heard the scream.

spooks!
or maybe, some odd acoustic reverberation from an old construct with the loud engine of your car? that is far more likely.

Or a troll under the bridge at the well-known time. A troll of the human variety.
Most likely the exhaust, as you said. Still a solid urban legend from my hometown.
I've never been to the bridge at night but my grandpa's explanation is that it's a deer with a pipe stuck in his antlers (having heard it in his backyard). Any other good NEPA spooks? I know where the Smurl house is and I remember driving by a supposedly haunted place near Moscow, but for a region with such a creepy vibe I don't know of anything else.
Centrailia (not that close but still), Smurl house is always spoopy. I wish I knew more. NEPA has a lot of spooks.
I'm from the northeast of PA lol, but I never heard of this before. Would be fun to check it out though.
