I work in a slaughter house. Cow ghosts aren't going to haunt the new residences

It's in Leiden.

The front side has some images of cows in chains on the windows. The sides have images of cruelty on the windows (what I mentioned earlier), bloody ones I mean. It's all painted, but I doubt it's all just to inform the public that that place was a slaughter house.

To be honest, I didn't think cow ghosts are the problem, but the idea that someone soon sleeps in a place where enough blood was spilled to fill a few bathtubs bothers me a little. (my apologies for the bump, I didn't notice the reply while I was typing)

Now that I think about it, perhaps someone interested in ghosts and sorcery could use the place for some rituals or something.

Chances are wherever you could ever step, something has died a horrible death there at some point. Unless there's blood stains soaked into the building I can't imagine why people would really have a problem with it.

They tore down the entire apartment complex where Jeffrey Dahmer lived and apparently it's still just a vacant lot. I see OP's point but from the vegan angle: human uproar over a human killing and eating a few humans, sufficient to destroy the entire building, even though long time residents protested it vehemently (not wanting to leave their homes), while in OP's town the brutal slaughter of (what, millions?) of cows and other animals is not seen as a strong enough reason to prevent the building being turned into a home for humans.
