I think this whole thing was a state sponsored fear campaign to shut down conspiracy theorists by having them 'chase their own tail' and get themselves worked up (ie: the serpent swallowing its own tail aka "ouroboros" aka 'bad self eater') only to abuse you with a video that still calls you 'sheeple' / 'asleep'.

I recall something like this popping up in the late '90s or early 2000s... a website with a timer countdown in red that /x/ went nuts over. This was the first one I saw and there have been many since then up to and including this one. Throughout the countdown there were clues released about some sort of top-secret Ark project that was being built by the world's elite in the side of a mountain in Australia. I vaguely recall a story about a camera being found with photos of military helicopters chasing the whistleblowers, fuzzy pictures of a cave in the side of a mountain, and how they were building large arks in secrecy. Hell, now that I type that, it seems like the movie 2012 might have ripped it off. Anyway, the countdown reached zero and it was a silly new-age cult-like promotion for a religious book. I was disappointed. I just tried googling for all that but couldn't find anything from my vague memories. Any oldfags here remember anything like that?
