Alright /x/, old story I know. Wondering if anyone knows anything more about this. It's pretty creepy. 12-15ft red-haired giant weighing 1100lbs killed by special forces in Afgahnistan, taken off the mountain in helicopter, flown to Wright Patterson Air Force Base and disappeared.
>"...a Special Forces team operating in Afghanistan in 2002 encountered one of the creatures while on a patrol looking for a lost unit in an isolated part of the country. The soldier tells Marzulli his unit made its way along a goat path near a cave where the team noticed an unusual pattern of rocks, bones, and, ominously, a broken piece of communications equipment of the type used by the American military."
>"While pondering this, the team was surprised by a man “at least twelve to fifteen feet in height.” The creature had long, red hair and skewered one operator, identified as “Dan,” with a pike-like weapon. The remainder of the team opened fire, repeatedly shooting the creature in the face and eventually killing it. The full length of the engagement was only 30 seconds."
>“At first you think, this has got to be a joke, this has got to be hoax,” he admitted. “Then after things go down a certain way, and you keep hearing it, you start to realize it’s not a joke. They kept telling us to keep our weapons high, which means normally you are ready to put two in the chest on in the head, but they kept telling us to put it towards a man’s head and put it higher. So we would question why do they want us to shoot higher than a man’s head?”

Thanks. Self-bump.
Been curious about this story for years, recently ran into it again. Didn't know if it had been bantered about here in /x/ already of not.
>>18128392
Creepy pasta.
>This soldier testified there were rumors at his base in Afghanistan about the engagement with what become known as the Giant of Kandahar.
>“We started hearing a rumor about a unit that killed what they were calling a really tall person,” he told Marzulli. “At first I didn’t think anything of it. I come to find out that the person they killed was actually three times the size of a man, had extra digits on their hands and on their feet, and had red hair. A special unit had come and wanted this target. We’d heard they’d killed this thing inside a cave or the mouth of a cave.”
>The soldier alleged the rumor was actually widely circulated among military forces in Afghanistan.
>“There was common knowledge among the military to hear this,” he charged. “Years later I came to find out when I had returned from Afghanistan and had met other military members that had not been in the operations with me. If you would bring up the Giant of Kandahar they’d know about it.” He confessed the story sounds ridiculous.

There were giants in the Bible. If they were still around today you would expect them to live in a cave in some far flung place like Afghanistan. It seems plausible but I would have thought someone would have taken a pic. Why not reveal it to the world?
>>18128392
I don't believe so this is my first time reading about this.
>>18130575
As with anything, governments must experiment with the idea of weaponizing veritably anything.
I would assume that that thing was whisked away for genome sequencing. Wouldn't it be nice to have an army of those things?
In the interview one of those soldiers said something about it being a "high value target", as in someone wanted that thing and they went in to "extract" it.
Pretty creepy if you ask me.
Bipedal giants are mathematically impossible
>>18130670
Are you retarded?
If you had said humanoid giants I might have left it, but bipedal? Come on anon, there were loads of bipedal giant dinosaurs for instance. There were even pretty big hominids at one point at one point as well.

Lmfao at the descriptions of the weapons used. M4 = submachine gun superior stopping power (what is 5.56)
.308 = sniper rifle (battle rifle / semi automatic)
.50 cal = recoil operated, semi-automatic (yeah just like the other two.)
lmfao stopped watching after that.
>>18131506
He was talking about the picture he posted. Nothing more, how you cannot see that is beyond me.
>>18131508
I don't know shit about the weapons. It does bother me though, that if this happened, it would most certainly be really fucking unique. Simply disguising your voice, especially as regards the supposed helicopter pilot, wouldn't keep your superiors from knowing who the fuck you were. Wouldn't you think something like this would more of a... non-disclosure typa deal?
No photos? Fuck off
>>18131523
The thing is if this guy were still an "active" service member he would be in such deep shit because they can narrow down to who exactly it is no matter the hidden face and voice. They was he describes the "battle scenario" sounds amateur at best. To be honest it just sounds like a guy who made up a story. Now i myself have deployed to Afghanistan back in 08 and 09 and i WAS in Kandahar and i heard no such stories of "giant" men. I do have other stories about weird shit though.
>>18131541
That's what I thought.
What with that shit about a prison at the bottom of a dam that no-one wants to go down into for oooooh!-spooooky! reasons?
>>18128329
Ah shit they got my nigga Akuma.
>>18131549
The more i watch the video the more i laugh he terminology is wrong the tactics are wrong. When he said "they told us to keep our weapons high" i immediately knew he has never deployed. You don't just walk with your gun pointed directly ahead unless you are indoors. If you are outside your shit is pointed to the floor directly in front of you and if you need to use it you fucking lift up and aim. Also this "cave fighting" is bullshit you treat caves like you would indoors. Everything just sounds like straight bullshit to me.

No problem. I will say this though Afghanistan is host to some paranormal shit. Just not fucking giant men impaling "special forces".

Not the guy who's post you linked, however I have been told from multiple soldiers that aren't connected, about balls of light that are often seen around.
It's more noticeable due to the lack of light pollution in many areas.
One of them told me that they would often get dispatched out to patrol a mountain range, because lights up there were always reported by a base on the opposite side side.
Interestingly enough, I have seen some people on /k/ mention the phenomena before as well.
>>18131642
>>18131646
i dont have enough to make a thread but i will post here.
First one is personal ill share other from friends if any are interested.
So it was my first time in afghnistan i'd been there about a month give or take a week. Well it was about my time to go on patrol i was 18 mind you so i was scared but excited. Well at first i thought we were gonna do the usual "patrol through the villages" type shit but i guess our CO wanted us to go a different route through some other area. Whatever cool just looking for some taliban activity and shit. We get to where we are going best i could describe it as was like a small valley? sort of like a ravine. Well as soon as we step foot in that place i get the chills. Bad chills. Not like a this doesn't feel right kind of chills but like a "i need to get the fuck out of here" kind of thing. I look over to my buddy for some reassurance but he is wide fucking eyed and pale as shit. Our platoon sergeant tells us to take a knee and chill for a bit. our corporal walks right up to him and says "Sgt we need to fucking dip this shot don't feel right." Well sgt gets on the talk (walkie talkie type radio) and starts relaying back to camp and shit. While he's doing that i take off my gloves and kind of run my hands through the sand. It looks like sand feels like sand all that but theres something different about it. Uncanny type of shit. Like if something was wrong with it. When i picked it up it did not feel right in my hands at all. Well our Sgt tells us to get and we are heading straight home. Thank fucking christ because the more i look around the more i see the other dudes are uncomfortable as shit. Mind you these are some fallujah type guys. Not some first deployment type of dudes. Either way we pretty much book it out of there back to camp. That night i could not sleep at all. It was like i was being watched or some shit. Not from a corner of the room but from all over the place.
Cont.
>>18131678

Well i go outside and lo and behold my sgt and cpl are out there smoking too. They are talking about today and what happened. I walked up and they asked me if i felt weird about where we were and i told them honestly. I was freak out. They both agreed that some fucky shit is going on but left it at that. Another guy walks up because he heard us talking about the area. Some afghan military guy. He told us and i will never forget. "this land has seen many bloodshed and battles. What you felt is probably the distant memory of a place where much sorrow and grief has held on." he went on to explain that some believe the land is cursed. Death haunts it and lingers.

>>18131678
>>18131690
Fucking trippy. Having lived it, you are most likely of the belief that events, emotional energies can get imbued into a place, and linger there. Not telling you anything you don't already know. I think that's the case. I used to think about things like this more frequently... but man if the drollery of work-a-day life, of being in problem solving mode all day everyday in a society like ours doesn't beat that type of stuff right out of you. I have heard people who've been in other parts of the world, that super/paranormal shit is simply accepted as part of any given day. It's just there, and considered a perfectly normal part of life. Not so, here in the states.
Fascinating shit. Thanks for the share. Would be interested in more.
>>18131715
Fucked me up real good.
>>18131720
The whole time i was in the military i was stationed in japan and let me tell you man. They believe in paranormal shit like no other. Most if not all of my japanese friends have a paranormal experience. Also the experience was not just a "ooh bump in the night i saw a shadow" type shit. Every story had something different not just ghosts but other shit. Shit one of my friends casually mentioned that her apartment had "a few spirits" in it and to just ignore any weird shit.

Why have they been bantering about weaponizing space for decades? What's this rod of god shit? Why are the cops being steadily militarized? We already have regular cops man! Here's the thing. If it can be weaponized... someone somewhere, even if they are a bored billionaire, is going to fuck around with it.
Say you are in something as simple as a crowd control situation. Send in the whatever-whatever squad. 45 13ft 1100lb fuckers, weilding 50cal assault rifles like they're fucking toys. I don't know about you, but I would stand up and pay attention pretty fucking fast. On the flip side, they would certainly make a nice big fat target, wouldn't they. People do fucked up shit all day every day, putting something like figuring out how to genetically develop a soldier of those proportions, I would not put it past us. That is all.

It's true, to an extent. The military is structured in such a way as to examine everything for its potential as a weapon, so they'll weaponise literally anything.
During WWII, there were stories of entire platoons of Japanese troops being rekt by giants in the south Pacific campaign. Guadalcanal in particular was apparently full of angry giants. If the institutional memory of the army heard of giants again, you bet they'd want to take a look at them.
The president of Guadalcanal a few years ago claimed giants helped him fix his flat tyre.

The cave in question must be connected to the deepest underground caverns. Unlikely a giant would just choose a random cave to hide in. That he was found at all is amazing because their attunement to all of the dimensions in very high. He clearly laid a trap but had no knowledge of the boomsticks.
If you do some digging though you can find out more about these guys. Not related to bigfoots, these are ancients who have also been found in a sort of stasis covered in ornate jewelry with very long hair and fingernails. It's the first I've ever heard of one waking up though. Only ever stories of the dead bodies of giants being foudn without jewelry, or the apparently still flesh and bone in perfect stasis type covered in what must be advanced crystal based technology.
Neat. I wonder why he chose to awaken around this time in particular. Perhaps the change of ages.

Maybe he was never asleep, maybe he came from agartha ,stumble into a cave that led to the surface and couldnt find his way back home and he was just defending himself? just a theory
>>18136799
That's actually what I was just thinking, but modern inner Earth populations should already be aware of the technology humans use today, shouldn't they? They wouldn't let themselves be captured like that, wouldn't try to attack soldiers. I really get the feeling one of them, undiscovered, probably in a deep cavern, woke up and came out to see how things were.
Shame he slept all that time to wake up for a light show and just died instead though. Really indicative of age.
>>18135938
OP here, what am I meant to get from this?
>>18136773
>>18136799
>>18136821
The story was that he'd been said to've been living up there for a while and was known by the locals, who thought of him as some sort of mythical god. They found all manner of bones and scraps of human life scattered all around the mouth and inside the cave.
He was marked as a "high value target" meaning someone wanted it. One team was sent up and disappeared. The second team sent in to find out wtf was up, found dead soldiers in the cave, and military radio parts outside the mouth of the cave. This is the team that shot the giant in the face, killing it, loading it on a pallet, hooking it up to the helicopter.
