Did Christianity result in Europeans losing their spiritual knowledge?
>>
>>18101555
They gained a different spiritual knowledge.
>>
If anything ir preserved a lot of it. The Romans and later the Huns sort of fucked everyone over.
>>
>>18101559
Abrahamic religions offer nothing but destruction. They place man above nature.
>>
Agriculture cost us most of it.
>>
>>18101589
That being said, Gnosticism is pretty great.
>>
>>18101594
Your as bad as those people tgat go:
>Science and modern technology have cut us of from our spirituality.
Total BS.
>>
>>18101598
Catharism as well. The Cathars were pretty much still Pagans.
>>
>>18101589
Man above nature does not inherently need to be destructive. Anything "higher" than something else in any given chain of being has the choice to nurture the ones below. That being said, I honestly think the Great Chain of Being is directly referencing Dimensional Nesting (how the lower dimensions have to be embedded within Higher dimensional space in order to even have a place so be "nested" within) and how those Higher dimensional beings are basically our Higher Selves, that use the many parallel iterations of us like fingerpuppets, mostly autonomously actually. The Great Chain of Being is a reference to this interdimensional living-puppet show, where Higher beings from every spatial dimension watches their lower dimensional "fingers" come to live in their own. The "Chain" itself are the infinitely nesting dimensions, The Whole of them being the Godhead itself.

So yes, anything placed "above" anything else isn't inherently destructive, there's an aspect of nurturing, and, perhaps more importantly, a relationship, that can be accessed by both parties.

This made me feel comfy as fuck
>>
God will send a demon to torment you every moment of your life.
>>

The knowledge has waned, but the connection (especially in Celtic peoples) has never waned. Even now, neo-druids attempt to reconstruct the faith of old.

The true gods of the earth cannot be killed so easily - they are primal, existing in every living thing around us. The supremacy of the risen christ is no longer. We shall witness a rebirth, in our lifetime.
>>
>>18101674
Except the fact that it has never been nurturing with regards to nature nor will it.
>>
>>18101784

Totally meaningless. Celebrities do the same thing. It is all for image.
>>
>>18101793
What kind of bullshit language? He uses the term "right", an entirely human concept when talking about the "environment". Fuck him.
>>
>>18101737
>We shall witness a rebirth, in our lifetime.

present tense
>>
>>18101605
Think you misread what they meant amigo.

Nothing wrong with farming from the land. Mother Nature wants us to live on her bounty.

Just imagine Nature in the Agriculture sense being tied up, force fed nutrients, and other chem garbage to continue giving us fattened bounties.

Science and Technology can assist or abuse depending on who uses them.
>>
Christianity actually brought a wealth of spiritual knowledge, especially the Roman Catholic church. However, Abrahamism in general leads to the gradual decline of spiritual knowledge due to it's strict division between canonical and non-canonical works. The Bible is more or less a dead work, changing not nearly as much as most pagan religions. The individual is also distanced from God, distanced from the prophets, distanced from the church in a way that alienates the individual spiritual life and therefore trivializes it.
>>
>>18101784
This is a blatantly ignorant statement because you're blaming abrahamic religions as a whole when really the fault lies only with those who practice them fucking wrong.

All three religions have so many retarded permutations when they all stem from the same source that does not in any way suggest what you're suggesting. You can't blame a philosophy for being attractive and easily manipulated, despite being in harmony with humanity and nature.

It's an attractive set of religions and "surprise surprise" it's been perverted and warped beyond all recognition by people who want to take advantage of it for personal gain. That's a fault of individuals, not of the covenant, which is non-materialist.

I agree. Communism is a great ideology as it is Socialism, too bad every attempt was failed because they never tried real socialism.
>>
>>18101555
Nazi bait thread detected.
>>
>>18103638
False equivalence, that is an economic system not a pure philosophy.

Some human societies can never be manifest because they are inherently impossible, like communism
>>
>>18103315
an ideology which is subject to interpretation is not an ideology at all

this example might be harsh, but think about national-socialism and its Aryan origins doctrine

Absolutely

>>18101559
No. They became mindless sheep. Christianity (just like other Semitic religions) came from the desert and where ever it goes, only leaves desert behind including the minds of it's victims.
>>
>>18101555
Yes. In the Ante-Nicea epoch pagandom was subverted and the romans apologized for persecuting christians. By the Post-Nicea epoch Christrian principles were unified and elevated. Philosophic circles (Platonist and Neoplatanist) were infiltrated and injected with christian ideas. Pagan knowledge was lost, but I hear christianity stole some values.
>>
>>18101555
Semitism.
>>
>>18106356
Pagan knowledge and tradition survived, even though they were "christianized".
>>
>>18101555
I'm european and half of my family follows Asatruism, i don't give a crap about Christianism or Asatruism but Christianism has always give me this feeling of a hollow shady cult, and i'm sure i'm not biased by my family, just personal observation.
>>
>>18107308
Yeah, i have this vision of christianism too. It seems too absorbing.
>>
>>18103258
you're an idiot

Is that picture implying something wrong? because i see quite the opposite.

Norwegian here, I'm not a believer in any organized religion to be honest, I have my own thoughts, and just that, thoughts, to be entirely certain of something nobody truly knows is pretty arrogant if you ask me.
That said, I still wish we would have never adopted christianity, a middle-east centered religion has no place up here.
But yeah, believing that the world is a tree and that Tor makes the lightning in the sky isn't pretty realistic, but at least we would have our own identity, and not just be slaves to some religion far away in lands not related to ours.

Monotheism, not even once.
>>
>>18101555
Yup
>>
>>18101555
of course. it was the greatest blow to spirituality the West has ever had.

Religion/spirituality/metaphysics is an outgrowth of the way that certain people, of a certain place, view themselves, the world around them, and their place in the cosmos.

An artificially created and forcefully grafted replacement could never do that as well.
>>
If anything Rome was destroying Europe's spiritual knowledge. Christianity broke Rome, so in that sense, certainly helped. Important to remember, knowledge isn't everything either.
>>
>>18109851
Sort of scary if you see how Rome was breaking the world, then how Rome ended up breaking itself, but you compare that to what the EU and the U.S. are doing right now. History repeats yo. Except now instead of a bunch of Christians, its Islam and Atheism.
>>
>>18101589
Man is above nature you tree hugging faggot
>>
Blame those damned Indo-Europeans
>>
>>18101555
no, europeans lost nothing. dumb germanic snow niggers lost the bones in their noses, sure, but christianity is practically the "next step" in hellenistic philosophical monotheism.

aristotle could have easily found christianity compatible with his own beliefs.

the problem is that filthy dumb germanic scum never got on top of the whole "philosophy" game, and think they "lost" something when in actuality, their shitty culture wasn't worth preservation to begin with.

In what way?
Because we destroy nature?
Protip: Nature will be around longer than we will.
>tree hugging faggot
Oh wait, I'm talking to a edgy teenager, nevermind.
>>
>>18109889
Slavshit detected
>>
>>18109889
I don't even...Germanic tribes had their own philosophy almost guaranteed. We simply don't know what it is because Rome, other Germanic tribes, Celts, Slavs, then Christianity and various other factors got rid of almost all of their written language save for what was carved into stone or other not so easily weathered surfaces.

The Hellens almost suffered the exact same fate. And actually to an extent, they did as much of their knowledge was lost in the burning of the libraries of Alexandria, and their temples being torn down across the Mediterranean.
>>
>>18109872
Man IS nature you fucking nigger.
