Some protips;
carve each rune from each of the three aetts onto flat pieces of wood, being sure to record the reverse rune (if one exists) into it.
The wood must be from a fruit-bearing tree, or a yew (not ash as is commonly misconceived) and inlay each rune with your own blood.

I've been messing around with runes for a while, but didn't get a set of them for readings till a few weeks ago. I used to inscribe them into my body and I personally use Thurisaz on my knife for extra sharpness and it works great.

Using bone from a species of prey invites death into your readings. If you killed the animal yourself and used it for sustenance (and I mean sustenance in the purest form, IE you killed the animal and ate it due to absolutely no alternatives) the danger is lesser as you have nurtured life with death. When I was around seven or eight years old , I lost myself in a forest close to where I lived, long story short I ended up falling asleep on the ground after walking for what seemed like hours. When I woke up , I saw a shadow past in front of me , look at me , put his finger on his mouth making a "shhh" sound and walking away.
