Atlas:
A project from DARPA robotics has created a succesful method of creating what would to many people in the past be a construct of a magicians layer.
The Golem. A creature without a soul capable of doing various repetitive labours over and over without failing or tiring.
These "robots" are suspiciously similar although based on principals of math and science and hence easily replicatable through engineering works.
Could the ancients have know of a better energy source than that of today? Some sort of resonance or frequency or method of creating such things as chimeras or golems through what we would now consider commonplace technology? A shortcut if you will for making things animate?
TL; DR:
Is magic real?
&
Is magic returning to our planet?
(Just like in final fantasy?)
Or could it be more sinister.
What if we are living in an inescapable cycle?
What if the dragons and mythological creatures of old were post apocalyptic leftovers of ancient technology and biological engineering.
Everything from mermen to harpies were simply accidents in laboratories long ago before a great winter.
Could Atlantis have been the name of this civilisation who did this?
Was the ice age a nuclear winter?

I am merely asking questions.
The video cements what I have said earlier.
Look at the movements of that robot.
Just like the Golem of Prague it too can work for hours on end tirelessly.
The Golem of prague was made by a Jewish Rabbi however.
A supposed practitioner of a powerful form of holy magic known as Kabbalah. Supposedly using the first words God spoke unto men.
GOLEM GET YE GONE

Maybe. Just maybe.
The ancient circles and geometries were compact forms of knowledge that if you could decode them they revealed some incredible mathematical knowledge to the point that it SEEMS magical.
;b
Thats all the clues I am giving you.

ITT: OP read too much about Thoth the Atlantean.

Get ye gone golem!
interesting theory
what if so called ragnarok, or the kali yugas are just civilisations rising and falling? ragnarok will come soon to ours. rome was probably a ragnarok when it fell.

Electroplating.

Possibly.
Also, mild therapeutic electroshock.

Because ancient Egyptians read too much about Thoth the Atlantean as well. They started getting ideas, and thinking they could just create technology, and do the things Thoth told them. Those silly fucks.

>magic "returning to our world"
>implying it ever left
The "Enlightenment:" Two steps forward, one step back.
If it is then it's certainly occult information and you'll never ever even see a hair of it genuinely.
Look into the Satya Yuga described in the Vedic literature. Very similar to the theory of atlantis. It entails extremely tall and long living humans with psychic and spiritual propensities.

Multumim Capitane
While scientists demonstrate the fruits of current knowledge some people still want to believe in stories from the past.
DARPA is not to be fucked with. They work on artificial intelligence, time travel, interstellar travel, teleportation, advanced Internet technologies, invisibility, Shit like that. If there's anything close to Professor X or something of the sort, anything like superheroes or the justice league or the avengers, DARPA is it.

Those were debunked you dolt
I'm not sure what age you are referring to as by "ancients". First off, much of the things you have listed - dragons, Atlantis and such - have never existed, but since we are on /x/, let's assume they did.
Still, that brings up the question of the age. If you are referring to historical times that we, humanity, know of, then: Better technology could not have been based solely on an energy source. You need to know how to hervest it, and the tools for doing so. As far as we know, tools and science in general were too crude to do so. That's why the Industrial Revolutions were so important.
Now, assuming that OP is referring to times we do not know of. There were no humanity or the likes to go around harvesting any kind of energy back then. Grated that, say, there were aliens, it *would* be possible. Except that we know of no such things, and have never found proof of that. However since you are refering to myths and folklore that are well known, I do assume that you don't think this is the actual case scenario.
