Been there once, it's an overgrown cedar tree farm the army planted a long time ago to use the trunks as posts/building material but abandoned it.
The area surrounding this place (medicine park) is in the middle of nowhere but attracts tourists. I can see it being hella spooky at night. I've heard people have had some strange encounters there. It's on Indian(Comanche) land I'm pretty sure

Agree. I felt dread about 5 mins in, this was daytime too with my gf. It's certified spooksville. We went straight through the forest(technically a plantation) to the opposite side and hiked up that rocky hill, not sure if it has a name. I have pics on my old shitty phone, I'm about to go to bed I'll see if I can post them tomorrow

There's nothing wrong with the forest.

It's actually really peaceful over there and renowned for it's beautiful camping spots. A lot of the wildlife is friendly and just curious probably due to all of the human interaction making them a bit more domesticated.

There's really nothing to worry about and I hope you all have fun.
