Where I live wouldn't be hit with a direct strike, but I'm literally surrounded by likely nuclear targets and the fallout from nuclear attacks on a major global city a few dozen miles south of me could end up being blown my way by the wind.

Taking that into consideration, I would be faced with a future of cancer, famine, disease, civil unrest (anarchy in most cases) and thousands of hungry refugees from the cities fleeing to the countryside. I guess there's not much I can do in that case.

After a long cry, I'd probably make sure my direct family was ok, meet up with my mates who live near me and think up a game plan to survive the next few years.
