It was one I read several months ago, and I apparently can't remember enough detail about it to find on the internet. It's about a man who winds up in the woods with a sheriff and (maybe) his deputy, and they come across this being that is either taking the form of a dude being hung by a rope, or it pulling on the rope and using the hanging dude like some sort of bait. Please help me /x/, you're my only hope.

It was total BS. Roleplaying, in fact. Which is what I'm getting here. All I wanted was help with finding a creepypasta. It's not like there are any other really interesting threads up right now.
