I haven't seen a general like this, so here it goes.

What are some of the religions that you anons follow? Do you have any greentext stories about experiences with the supernatural, paranormal or spiritual?

Please remember to respect others.

I am Russian, so Orthodox Christian culture is strong with me (I am an atheist though). I recall my childhood friend being freaked out by all things religious. He couldn`t stay long in the church, because he would suddenly feel bad/his head would start spinning, etc. Once I got myself a cup of "holy water" from church and gave him to drink. Fucker vomited it out almost immediately, and he didn`t even know where did the water come from. I used to joke that he is an anti-christ and came to reap our souls. Funny thing is, I heard he is planning to become a priest now. So be prepared for an Orthodox devilspawn in disgiuse, anons.

Rodnovery Pagan - Orthodox conglomerate here.

Had a few instances of actual supernatural sightings. I'm not schizo, I'm not mental, they were not hallucinations, they weren't dreams.

During these times, I rechecked, double, triple checked for a dream, it wasn't. I was highly aware, though slightly woozy in all situations.

In all four situations during the past 6 years it was a Pecheneg spirit haunting me, and only in the last one, I prayed to St. George who guards my house to protect me. Since then, there haven't been any incidents, other than outside the house where I just heard them, or saw people others didn't see, or feel for that matter.

One can call me an schizo, or a drug addict even though I am a nazi, but I was not under the influence, never have been, never will be. I am clear minded and straight forward.

I've only ever been told they were hallucinations - despite the fact that there's no indications to hallucinations.

The story about how I found out about a possible Etruscan-era religion and now actually think I believe in it enough to talk about. It wasn't easy coming to terms with this, especially given how deeply conservative my family is at home. These are events I've experienced over the last few weeks:

>be me, 28
>I have a passing interest in spiritualism and the occult, never anything really serious or committed. Been an agnostic most of my life.
>read this story online about The Ahnenerbe Nazi institute and how they would steal what they thought were paranormal artifacts.
>I start to look into this more, the stories of what are uncovered at these research facilities is fascinating.
>one specific story catches my eye one night, about a discovery in early 2015
>In early 2015, an interesting discovery was made near the outskirts of Germany.
>Four researchers, Simon Aleth, Nicco Bresdlin, Sharon Mctavish and Brittany Lyns discovered what appeared to be an Etruscan-era artifact in an unspecified chamber location near Germany’s border. The chamber, looked to them to be the remnants of an Ahnenerbe research facility underground.
>The Ahnenerbe was an institute in Nazi Germany purposed to research the archaeological and cultural history of the Aryan race and many locations were uncovered and studied over the last few decades since the fall of Nazi Germany.
>The four researchers came to believe that this was one such location and with the permission of the German government, spent three months extensively cataloging and organizing various samples that the Nazi institute had stolen, in the event of them finding confiscated artifacts with cultural significance.
>One particular artifact was this aforementioned Etruscan slab.
>Now apparently, the story goes that each researcher spent personal time alone with the slab, studying the information written on it.
>I honestly don't know much about Etruscans but I heard that the language is near impossible to decipher.

Roman Catholic, confirmed, non-practicing, read the Old Testament in times of need.

I do high doses (1mg+) of LSD every few months and have had a few interesting visions. Nothing quite compares to opening your eyes from meditation and seeing the entire world around you as a living, breathing, fractal matrix.

>Dr. Lyns, as this one report I read went, was the one who spent the most hands-on time with the item before filing it back to more official hands over in Berlin.
>Nights after, she complained about migraines and fatigue.
>There were similar symptoms weeks after in the others involved at the site. Each one experiencing minor to major migraines, fatigue and shortness of breath.
>These symptoms continued until Dr. Lyns was hospitalized for cardiovascular issues.
>Before she died of heart complications six months later after being hospitalized, the nurse recalled to staff that she had written hundreds of pages worth of...something all over her room's wall and notebook.
>It freaked out the nurses and the German authorities were called. Thinking that there was a prank done to her while she was sick.

>German authorities inspected the writing, taking extensive pictures. The investigation went public a few days later, with them concluding that it was just minor vandalism not related to her death.
>They released all the pictures to her surviving family, not thinking they contained any real significance at all.
>For the sake of curiosity, the surviving family posted the pictures online. Hoping that someone could offer literally anything substantial as context. They didn't expect anything to actually come from it. It was mostly a way of coping with her untimely death.
>People who went onto the website said, on various boards and forums, that they underwent intense and vivid dreaming...but every story was clear to note that these were NOT nightmares of any sort, more like directions.

>some anons would post pics of shit they wrote on the walls while having no memory of doing so. I'm a skeptical person, I usually think "evidence" like this is fabricated or all part of a hoax for a good story, so I don't usually buy into it. After all, anyone could just write on their walls and take pictures.
>There were more recent stories from anons that were far more unsettling, outlining how their bodies were marked and written on if they washed off their walls and got rid of the "strange poetic word vomit" as they would sometimes call it.
>It was as if, bodily harm was a punishment for cleaning whatever the message was, from whoever was delivering that message.
>Most forums just dismissed it, the more accepting or forgiving paranormal boards were far more interested in learning more. I guess I stuck around to find out when the "big reveal" of the hoax would come. Notice my surprise when this shit starts to actually effect me.
>From the dozen or so different threads, where anons would write out what the dreams were like, some commonalities started to form, from stories of people all over the country. There was shared content between all of them...

>Some common story elements included: a great shadowy six-armed figure, white see through forests of trees made of glass, the world being reflected through mirrors and whispers saying "we will join the long walk, our last walk",
>There were variations of this, variations of the "glass forest" dream, variations of how this figure looked...but he always was towering and multi-armed.
>Most just ignored it, chalked it up to their over-active imaginations. I couldn't blame them, it sounded ridiculous.
>Then the events of this June changed my life.
>I stopped reading these types of threads for a while, came back after a dry spell to see if anything changed. Oh boy, did it ever.
>I was here, on /x/, in a "spooky greentext" story thread. The story of the Etruscan artifact came up, and the dreams.
>An anon compiled all of the different posts over the last month and a half...posting all the info in a single post, attaching the original photos...which at this point had regulated themselves oddly to only a few forums and always (strangely) reedits of them. I had never seen the original photos up until this point.

>I downloaded the pictures, checked out the writing. It was definitely eerie, to say the least. But with a lot of creepypasta related stuff, I didn't think much of it.
>That night I experienced the most intense dreaming in my entire fucking life. My body felt wrecked the next morning...when I found that I had, myself, written ONE thing on my own arm, something I don't remember doing. I don't even explicitly remember the dreams themselves, which seemed to not math the stories I've been reading. The note on my arm:
>"The voice that carries the Long Walk"
>I thought it was a prank. Though nobody else in my house, including my younger brothers, even knew that I had this interest or have been following these threads.
>None of them even knew about the pictures.
>I decided not to wash off my arm, I had some really debilitating anxiety that I would be hurt if I chose to ignore this. So I didn't.
>The night after I left my arm alone...anons, my dream was the same as those others before me.
>The only difference? The "figure" wasn't a mystery anymore. It talked to me.
>I wish I could put into words what exactly, WHO exactly it was...I'm still trying to wrap my head around it. It seriously was like a spiritual awakening.
>Thinking back on it now, his(it's?) specific words are a little fuzzy. A lot of very calming words, like I was needed for something larger than myself.
>That morning, there was writing on my wall.
>So I wrote it all down, every word. I spent that entire day locked in my bedroom, afraid to tell a soul. I would be called crazy. Fuck it though, it needed to happen.
>I wrote down a total of 20 pages worth of information: instructions, tenants, the story of our universe...and at its center?
>A being, who called himself the father of the Etruscans, Walker Among Shadows, Merciful Beast Beneath, The Dial-Turner, King of Under Earth
>His name was Baethelmotok
>I believe him to be a god.
>>
>>18030682
Asking to elaborate equals being mad now? Are you trying to troll/de-rail thread or literally have nothing better to say?
>>
>>18030703
No, I'm not trying to derail the thread.

Drugies are just unreliable pieces of shit, and those who turn to meditation are often saved, though I am still skeptical about them.

Admitting that you do drugs is admitting you're a weak human being without any intention of improving yourself. Literally a pawn in the chessgame of degeneracy and depravity against righteousness and spirituality.

>It is not a religion of force. But of peaceful acceptance that all peace is the "Breath Before the Devouring", how one day he will consume all the earthly plane in shadow, breaking the mirrors of all worlds and from those shattered pieces reforge it into anew.
>And this cycle will continue, until all of man choose to walk the Long Walk.
>If anyone wants more info on the tenants specifically, I can copy and paste :)
>Thanks for reading!

"Let all men who speak with quick tongues be slow to hear. For all men may speak good words. What is a messenger but only the jar of the word itself? What flesh is worth more than the words he spills? Ah! Child! The messenger may say a thousand words, none of which his own."

Cut it down. Why should it use up the ground?’ 8 And he answered him, ‘Sir, let it alone this year also, until I dig around it and put on manure. 9 Then if it should bear fruit next year, well and good; but if not, you can cut it down.’”

13 That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. 2 Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

"And Baethelmolok took only one daughter to the edge of the woodland, showing her the ends of their earth and the shadow planes beyond the great ice wall of Gorthirath, built in the First Cycle of the Dial. He dug his hand into the earth, pulling up the roots of a great elm and said: "Where roots are, life stirs. Look upon this, here. Beneath. Where stands the earth. It is home." His daughter looked puzzled and replied: "But one day, you my One Father, shall devour even the trees who grow in your name?" He smiled, "Even roots as thick as these must whither through the Long Walk and awaken anew. Stronger roots await beyond the shadow!"

And Aliens will be listening to their Wise Words,

And they will create Golden Taurus,

Great Wanderer, carrying love.
But priests of Golden Taurus will martyrize him.

Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
>>
>>18030885
This was first translated in 1786 by Russian Orthodox priests, then retranslated into modern Russian in 1944.

:)

The original is a set of stones inscribed on Sanscrit in the Himalayas.

"Baethelmolok, in the form of the beggar from Nazareth, ate only figs for the first years of his journey through flesh and mortal word"

do you know what humans were doing 40 thousand years ago?

You don't seem to grasp how OLD 40 thousand years is...organized society is only a few thousand years old. Language, WRITTEN language is also a fairly recent thing.

That's science and history bro...

Upper Paleolithic

50,000–30,000 years ago: Mousterian Pluvial in north Africa. The Sahara desert region is wet and fertile. Later Stone Age begins in Africa.
45,000–43,000 years ago: Cro-Magnon colonization of Europe.
45,000–40,000 years ago: Chatelperronian culture in France.

No, we did not have written languages then.
>>

Maybe then the scriptures are wrong, because time is measured in time and Svarog's circles in the vedas. Maybe the priests measured it all wrong.

Either way, it's still old if it's Sanscrit.

>>18030908
Which timeframe would it be then?

Because the scriptures mention nukes, abortion, incest and LGBT in general - and nukes weren't known to Russian priesthood in 1786, or 1944 for that matter.

How would you explain that too?
>>
>>18030911
>How would you explain that too?

That you want to believe that your scriptures "predict" things, but it's really just an actual mental exercise of you taking modern events and doing a self-fulfilled reading of your holy texts after the fact.

If we are talking about established methods of dating artifacts, the human species was not engaging in writing a formal language, that wouldn't happen for thousands of years after

If you are saying that during the Upper Paleolithic, your religion was writing about abortion or nukes or whatever you believe, it is underlyingly impossible...since humans didn't even HAVE any formal languages. Least of all written ones. Sorry.
>>
>>18030911
The Sumerian language is one of the earliest known written languages. The "proto-literate" period of Sumerian writing spans c. 3300 to 3000 BC. In this period, records are purely logographic, with no linguistic or phonological content. The oldest document of the proto-literate period is the Kish tablet.

There is no actual way that scripture is 40k years old.

Why are you still avoiding the Sanscrit question?

[91] For seven Life Circles Darkness will wraplands of Kins of The Great Race...
Many people will die from metal and fire...
Grave times will come for nations of Midgard-Earth,
brother will rise against brother,
son against father,
blood will be pouring like rivers...
Mothers will be killing their unborn children...
Hunger and Spiritual void
will cloud minds of many people of The Great Race,
and they will lose Faith in Justice...

[95] Forces of Darkness will make all efforts,
in order that Sacred Fire would never light up
in front of Images and Idols of Gods and your Sacred-Wise Ancestors...
Aliens will start stirring up one nation against another,
calling them to wars,
in order that they would kill each other
for possession of Earth's properties...

[96] Millions of lifes will be taken by senseless wars,
for the sake of Alien desires.
For the more there are wars...
and deaths of Human Children,
the more wealth would acquire
envoys of World of Darkness,
and more influence over minds of many people of The Great Race...
Dark Forces for achievement of their goals
will use even Fush-Destroyer,
and Fire Mushrooms bringing death
will rise above Midgard-Earth....

3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

7 Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

>I don't realize that organized faiths tamper with the wording of original texts, change words and ultimately edit core messages every few dozen or so years.

If you think that the DIRECT translation from an artifact is "fire mushrooms bringing death", you may not be the smartest apple in the bunch.

That line is also quite literally the ONLY line you have that even could be remotely read as a modern reference. Everything else is just vague "mothers will kill their children in the wombs", do you think abortion is some new thing? "7 centuries of war", humans always do war.

It's all vague.

36One of the Pharisees asked him to eat with him, and he went into the Pharisee’s house and reclined at table. 37And behold, a woman of the city, who was a sinner, when she learned that he was reclining at table in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster flask of ointment, 38and standing behind him at his feet, weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears and wiped them with the hair of her head and kissed his feet and anointed them with the ointment. 39Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would have known who and what sort of woman this is who is touching him, for she is a sinner.” 40And Jesus answering said to him, “Simon, I have something to say to you.” And he answered, “Say it, Teacher.”

41“A certain moneylender had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. 42When they could not pay, he cancelled the debt of both. Now which of them will love him more?” 43Simon answered, “The one, I suppose, for whom he cancelled the larger debt.” And he said to him, “You have judged rightly.” 44Then turning toward the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house; you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet. 46You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. 47Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven—for she loved much. But he who is forgiven little, loves little.” 48And he said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.” 49Then those who were at table with him began to say amongh themselves, “Who is this, who even forgives sins?” 50And he said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Are you really trying to argue with this veda-guy, people?
You might not know about this particular strain of autism, being from US and shit, but I come from Russia and those guys are a laughing stock here. They are completely oblivious to science, have no proofs of their version of history and are just cringy as fuck. Compared to them even scientologists and mormons sound rational and educated.
Keep poking him with a methaphorical stick of rational thinking and see how his story changes before your eyes. He already aknowledged that he was wrong about 40k years, dig further and a gold mine of autism awaits you.
And no, veda-guy, I will not answer your inevitable incoherent shouts in my direction, I humiliated enough of you IRL to spend time on you here. Good luck with being a part of group of sad outcasts.

Uh, no. I accept rational thinking. The only argument I have gotten so far is "Muh timelines" Which I admit I was wrong with.

However, none of you can possibly deny the text I pasted, nor any of the things that was written (except maybe the Virmanas crap I am still skeptical about).

I've never personally met another of my mindset, but most Orthodox Christians agree with me. Not because I pose as a Christian but because I accept Christ as the son of God, and many teachings from the good book.

I did:
-scriptures you quoted were vague
-"mushroom" reference could have been edited in in your religion's recent history
-no proof that your religious texts WEREN'T tampered with
-beyond that one line, the rest of it is too vague to adequately use as a piece of evidence that this document "predicted" anything.
>>
>>18030967
Solid arguments.

However, you could always go to the ARYC in Moscow and read the original on Russian, printed in 1944 - so I doubt it was tampered with. If there was, however excessive proof that it was tampered with, I would drop the religion as a whole. After all, we're here for belief.

Call me a heretic all you want, but I follow the religion of my kin, new and the old.

Gaudiya Vaishnavism is part of the Brahma Sampradaya (disciplic line). It's a Vedic tradition focused on the Bhagavad-Gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Isopanishad, and the Chaitanya-Caritamrita. It's a monotheistic/henotheistic/panentheistic tradition that states our true nature is an inconceivable juxtaposition of difference (bheda) and one-ness (abheda) with the Supreme Person.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Achintya_Bheda_Abheda

Rough Overview:
>the living entity is an eternal soul
>as we are qualitatively (but not quantitatively) the same as God, we have a spark of His supreme independence
>usually this spark of free will is used to serve God; sometimes a soul will use it to serve themselves
>since everything is in the service of God in the spiritual realm, this creates an unenjoyable situation for the soul - like throwing a party to celebrate you and everyone instead focuses on your friend
>a soul in this position is facilitated through an illusory immersion/connection with the material realm (Maya)
>here we can exercise our desires without interference, save for a few stipulations: as we are in control so we are responsible (karma), and the natural laws of the universe
>because of our limited power (and the natural quality of material energy), creations in the material realm are limited, including being temporary
>as we are eternal beings, this causes discomfort among the enjoyment
>God provides many opportunities and many ways to regain our original consciousness when we tire of attempting to be God
>in the current age, the recommended process to do this is through the names of God used in mantra - quietly alone (japa, bhajan) or socially (sankirtan)

If your tradition has a name of God (or better - a proscribed prayer, such as The Lord's Prayer given to us by Jesus), use that. If not, we recommend the mantra

>>
>>18031741
>normal vedas
Please keep in mind there are MANY disciplic lines and tattvas stemming from the Vedas. There are legitimate traditions that are fiercely opposed to what I typed.

>40k y.o. religion from above?

Not certain what texts he's referring to. There are some suspicious references to Isha Putra in the Bhavisya Purana and a book largely regarded as a hoax called The Life of Issa that are cited often.

http://www.stephen-knapp.com/jesus_predicted_in_the_vedic_literature.htm

In general the Vedic lore is that humans have had civilizations on Earth basically since it was formed that go through cycles. Even then it doesn't make sense as things weren't written down until the start of this age - people had better brains and simply remembered everything.

> SB 1.3.21 — Thereafter, in the seventeenth incarnation of Godhead, Śrī Vyāsadeva appeared in the womb of Satyavatī through Parāśara Muni, and he divided the one Veda into several branches and subbranches, seeing that the people in general were less intelligent.

As Carl Sagan noted, Vedic history - while much more cosmically scaled than most religions - still doesn't match up to archeological records. As a follower, you can reject the books because of this, bang your head against the wall trying to make sense of it, or leave it in that cognitive dissonance realm of "this doesn't affect my daily life."
