I want to start meditating. What should I know, if anything, /x/?

That there is no goal to achieve meditating.

That it is all about uncovering everything that is already there within you.

That you will finally get to meet yourself at the end of peeling off those layers of ego you have built through your life.

Always ignore the thoughts, don't dwell on them let them slip through. Those thoughts are your ego.

Don't try too hard, or at all just enjoy the peace.

It will take some time for you to notice the effects, most likely, it will be the persons you rarely see that are going to say how much you changed. It will as when you were growing, you couldn't tell that you got taller, nor the people you saw everyday, but your grandparents would notice that you got taller.

You need to develop a daily meditation routine.
You need to learn it from somebody who already knows, and meditate with him once in a while.

From my experience, it is totally worth it.
