I read a little about Sobek in in the last 30 minutes or so, but the information seems to be reiterated all over the web. All I know is that he is depicted as a human with a crocodile head, that he is considered the god of water, fertility and also destiny in some traditions, and that he has sided on both "evil" and "good" (if those mean anything) throughout it's mythological life. Also believed to have created the world in some traditions. Granted protection to his followers. That's about all I could get.

Hello /x/, I don't often drop by here, but something kind of drew me here the other day. I do tend to despise hypocrisy when it comes to religious/spiritual matters, but distancing myself from others for being too materialistic? I can see and yet I can't see that, will have to think deeper about what that one means. But yes, there is guilt. A lot of guilt.

The second part, ouch that's dead on. Was it really that obvious? I mean it's only really hit me hard within the past year or so, but yeah, I have been constantly comparing myself, and wallowing in it's attendant despair. As for appreciating own efforts, guess I never really learned that. I've felt that's only something someone else can acknowledge in you.
