Has there ever been mysterious attacks on police stations/forts on the frontier/military bases? Like everyone is just mauled to death?

Or even just houses and villages which got absolutely destroyed and human/known animals were not immediately or ever blamed?
>>
Translation: Has anyone that couldn't be explained ever happened?

These things would be reported, eventually, you know, especially if it's a military thing, or just a village that ended up with everyone dead and the tax collector came around.

There was that one incident where two lions killed about hundred people in a British colony in Africa

The Tsavo Man-Eaters

In fact, lions in and around Tanzania seem to be fucking vicious.

This animal was never found or discovered. Sure, coulda been a hyena, or it could had been a demon.

Another 'beast' reportedly killed.
>>
There was once a man eating leopard in India (I believe that's where it was, i could be wrong) that killed quite a number of people, though I don't remember the exact number
If you want more stories of animals fucking up people, read Peter Hathaway Capstick's Death in the Long Grass

Less animal, more monster-like.

I found this.

Apparently they did it because they had fucked up teeth or something. Most man eaters only really do it because humans are the only things available to them.
>>
>>17900860

There are numbers around of 500+ people being killed in a ten year span around Tanzania. Shit's weird.
>>
In Oland, off of Sweden in 500 AD, as the population saw the migration into Europe proper, a fort was massacred. Bodies were grouped around a door, and if I do remember the damage was blunt, not stabbed. Valuables were left and the fort was left untouched, broken down by nature and forgotten. Could had been grisly raiders, or a monster.
>>
>>17900910

In India/Tibet, 300 odd bodies were discovered in the Himalayas by a lake (the Tibetan plateau has a LOT of those), along with normal goods of a village.

my man, had the game for over a year now but really got into it the past month or so
>>
>>17900968

Xenonauts 2 is rumoured to be confirmed, right?
>>
>>17900971
confirmed by the devs earlier this year. slated for a 2017 release.

gonna' have 3D graphics in order to enable camera rotation
>>
>>17900954

Again, in India, around twenty four odd murders occurred with stones and slabs of concrete, from Mumbai and Calcutta. Not what OP asked for, but still.
>>
>>17900761

Military bases and villages don't just up and disappear or are massacred, it seems. Man, life is boring.

That's a great article, mysterious universe seems to have it's shit together.

In May of 1836 the entire town of Bascombe, consisting of 231 souls in Kentucky vanished. At first it was thought to be Indians, there were no signs of violence. Peoples' clothes were found scattered, as if they'd disrobed while walking East, but all footprints ended just inside the treeline. Every attempt at picking uo a trail failed utterly.
>>
>>17900781

Yeahhh. Ghost and the Darkness. There were man eating tigers in India as well. Like killing hundreds of people. Also, see Gustav the crocodile

Lone leg stuff. Not saying they definitely didn't happen, but they're definitely made up. You'd think disappearances on that scale would be imprinted into the local legend. Like if all of Portland one day ended up killed, that shit wouldn't be forgotten any time soon.
>>
West Mesa Bone Collector. 11 Prostitues and drug users on the edge of this town were picked off. Police never did say it was a knife or a gun - could had been a claw or a tooth that did them in.

Mary Ann Holmes in 1995 was bound, killed, and raped by what her daughter called a 'lion man'.

>In some cases tigers will change their natural diet to become man-eaters. This is usually due to a tiger being incapacitated by a gunshot wound or porcupine quills, or some other factors, such as health issues and disabilities. In such cases, the animal's inability to take traditional prey forces it to stalk humans, which are less appetizing but much easier to chase, overpower and kill; this was the case with the infamous man-eating tigress of Champawat, which was believed to have begun eating villagers at least partially in response to crippling tooth injuries.

It was around 18 or so killed over the span of a year or two, in reality.

The British Empire didn't want the shame of admitting the plans for their railroads were halted because of two rogue lions, so they embellished the story a little.
