Apologies for the shitty banner. I didn't feel like ripping PixelAbyss's banner since I wasn't the one who drew it.

Anyways, new thread folks! The previous one is in autosage, so there's no point in staying in that one.
>>
Thanks for the new thread.

No problem.

I fuckin' loved the first one, so it only made sense to make a new one.

Anyways, it's late as fuck where I'm at, so I'll storytime my comic tomorrow afternoon.

In the meantime, have some filler art.

A random character design inspired by a little black-clothed doll I saw in a dream.

(May redraw her again in a less Jhonen Vasquez rip off-y look.)
>>
Btw Pixel, I was a tad hasty when I made this new thread, so I apologize if I didn't get creative with the green text. Feel free to reinforce any new ideas in case the above ones are spent at this point.

Alright, gonna have myself a 4 am snack and head off to bed. Night folks.

>May redraw her again in a less Jhonen Vasquez rip off-y look

Heh. I wouldn't have caught that if you hadn't said anything.
>>
>>17895485

Haha. Well, it feels rip off-y, maybe due to the eyes. I had vague recollections of what she looked up from the dream, so I guess other influences snuck in when I drew her. All well.

Now, I go to sleep.

Thank you so much. It's absolutely fine. What I did for the intro was kinda rough anyway so it's subject to change. One thug I had planned on doing was adding colors to the thread image to attract the eye because my pic is easy to miss.
>my main desire for the banner of the threads was that we could either set up one image for the thread or have anyone draw their own take on it an then we can archive them and cycle them as the banners on the threads.
I also wanna apologize for not making the new thread or working on the intro. That as mainly my plan for yesterday and I ended up hanging out with some friends yesterday around one and I've been up since then (which none of us really planned on). Then I'm supposed to go out with my family tonight so my schedule has been packed recently. I appreciate what everyone has been doing to keep these threads going.
>I'll try to wrap up the intro for part two and ill story time the whole thing with yet and continuity (hopefully) intact. See you all soon.
>>
>>17896497

>One thug I had planned on doing was adding colors to the thread image to attract the eye because my pic is easy to miss.

Not a bad idea. I don't think I've seen any colored work from you yet either, so it'd be interesting.

>...have anyone draw their own take on it an then we can archive them and cycle them as the banners on the threads.

I essentially drew my own (extremely rushed) take on yours when we originally needed a new thread, so feel free to archive mine for future sake. I might make a proper banner one of these days now that I'm not working on any big comic projects, lol. (Monster Hunter X is my next project, hehe.)

>I also wanna apologize for not making the new thread or working on the intro.

No sweat. Enjoy life before 4chan sucks you back in.

Anywho, I wanted to start posting my comic now, but I've got some errands to run in town in 30 minutes, so I'll hold back from posting it until... earlier tonight. Probably in the next 3-4 hours. Apologies for the delay, especially when I haven't shut up about the blasted thing.

Alrighty, I'm back from my errands, ate some mozzarella pizza, and am roasting like a pig in this poorly air conditioned room. Time to storytime!

Once again, the story is part of what'll (hopefully) become an overarching one, so no worries if you feel confused by the end of this issue. However, I sincerely apologize in advance if you might be since that's not good from a writer's standpoint. Now then...!

>adding colors to the thread image to attract the eye because my pic is easy to miss

Actually, because so many threads use color images, yours is easier for me to find if I need to search the catalog. But I think it would be great to see some color images from you in the thread.

>Then I'm supposed to go out with my family tonight so my schedule has been packed recently.

See, you have this thing called "a life" outside 4chan, as strange as it may sound, so the rest of us understand. Have a good time.

...and end!

So what were your thoughts? Feelings? Criticism?

Was it good, decent, bad?

I'm open to all thoughts!
>>
>>17897323

I'm only halfway through since I'm dealing with college stuff, but I'm really enjoying it so far! Love the style, but I like the cryptic story-telling too. It does get hard to tell some of the characters apart at times, but it's aesthetically pleasing enough that it's not really a big issue. I'll finish reading it soon, though, then I'll give you a full report, lol.

On a side note, did anyone get a chance to read my script from the last thread? I presented it today, and people seemed enthuastic about working on it. I could still use some advice, though. I actually ended up changing a few things before class, which I believe improved the story.

Anyway, can't wait to see what else this thread has to offer. Lots of creative minds on /x/ lately, and that's awesome.
>>
>>17897490

>Love the style, but I like the cryptic story-telling too.

Thank ya. I was worried the cryptic part would be a turn-off since it doesn't give a general set-up into why everything is the way it is in the comic.

>It does get hard to tell some of the characters apart at times, but it's aesthetically pleasing enough that it's not really a big issue.

I think I'm steadily improving on that issue, despite the stylized aspect. My first comic had worse cases of it than this one, but I still need to make further improvements for the next issue.

Take your time btw. I'd hate to delay you in your studies.

>On a side note, did anyone get a chance to read my script from the last thread?

I've been busy with RL affairs, so I took the liberty of copying your original script to a Word document. I'll be sure to get around to reading it later tonight. Despite any changes you may've made, I'll be sure to give a proper critique on what I saved from the previous thread.

I'm not entirely sure given that it's just an image of a book made from chain meal. Quite impressive, but I'm not sure how it relates to the thread. Any context to it?
>>
>>17897522
I just finished the rest, and I REALLY enjoyed this. It does get a bit hard to follow at times, but the depth and style makes it worth it. I guess I only have the same criticism from before, but I'd also like to add that this would benefit greatly from being read off a physical copy. I know you intend to self-publish, but there are quite a few fiction magazines out there that would kill to get their hands on a comic like this.

And I'm actually finally on 'winter' vacation here in Brazil. I just have to do my /part of the animatic and edit everything together, but there's no need to attend college until August. Feelsgoodman.jpg.

>>17898098
These were awesome. No chance you could contact the artist to give us some more OC?

(attached is some concept art for the Lord of Light, from my script, that a colleague of mine whipped up on the spot. I actually changed things so that the Lord is actually a wheelchair-bound, sickly obese man. She thought of the whole
steampunk design, though, which I greatly approve of)

Mother Lil’:

“Once the den mother within her pack, this old wolf underwent the transformation into a Denizen upon the Titans’ awakening. The female wolf obtained intelligence with her new humanoid body. However, there was new clear guidance for the wolf to follow apart from what she always trusted: instincts. Her instincts were to care, nurture, and protect her cubs, and thusly returned to her pack. Unfortunately, she rounded up the near entirety of the Countryside’s animalistic Denizens and were tossed into a mass pit. There, mass chaos ensued as prey and predators devoured one another in a gruesome feast – fueled by confusion and lingering instincts. The wolf found a new purpose amidst the savagery: the protection of Mynx and her helpless sisters. Somehow the group survived the terrifying experience and eventually found refuge in an old forgotten cemetery; Border Man’s Crossing. They decided to make in their new and only home, and the wolf assumed her former motherly role. Myx and her sisters lovingly called her “Mother Lil” from that day forward. Unfortunately, though, Mother Lil’s transformation left her completely blind and her old age shies her from confrontation. She rather leave such brutality to her companion Crypt.”

>>

Now I feel twice as bad for not reading over your script and giving it a critique tonight! Haha... the guilt boils deep within. But you're right:

>Don't sweat it!

So I shall not.

In any case...

>I just finished the rest, and I REALLY enjoyed this.

Well that's good!

>It does get a bit hard to follow at times, but the depth and style makes it worth it.

But that's not as good, despite the encouraging last words to it.

I'm curious, at which part(s) to it get "hard to follow" and/or was it related to the writing or the visuals? I'm assuming the visuals, lol.

>I guess I only have the same criticism from before, but I'd also like to add that this would benefit greatly from being read off a physical copy.

Well, I actually made some master copies for printable versions, and I've noticed that my drawings pop more in a physical form than a virtual one, so you're definitely right in that respect.

>I know you intend to self-publish, but there are quite a few fiction magazines out there that would kill to get their hands on a comic like this.

Y'know... I never thought of that. Idk why, but it never crossed my mind to submit one of these to a graphic anthology. I'll try asking my comic-making professor this semester about that idea since I intend to focus my art more towards comics. He might have a few ideas on how to and where to submit my stuff. I mean, I could do the research myself, but he's been doing comics for at least 20 years now.

A few months ago I posted it here with a fake story and a bunch of anons spent weeks trying to decode it.
>>
>>17898521

I guess the cryptic storytelling I mentioned earlier, coupled with the art style, might confuse some readers. I certainly had to
reread some sections, but it didn't bother me that much. I guess my only suggestion is to be a bit more clear with the world-building, for the sake of casual readers. By no means am I telling you to simplify your work, however. I really admire the level of detail that went into this.

Take good care of that physical copy, btw. You never know when it will become valuable enough to pay for your child's college tuition, lol.

And I actually had some moderate success submitting stuff to magazines, which is why I'm recommending this. Getting published in serious print could certainly help skyrocket your comic career.

I guess this applies to the other comic artists in the thread as well. Just don't be afraid of being rejected. If Stephen King had to try more than once, why shouldn't we, right?

(I actually have a collection of 90-something rejection letters in my inbox, so I speak from experience)

>Seems like a whole lot of work for something so trivial, though.
The real reason I made it was for a themed chain mail contest on a different site. In the long run though I think it'll be a neat heirloom to keep in the family after I'm gone.
>>
>>17898581
Aaah, that does make more sense. It's quite beautiful, though. As art, it's an admirable effort. You should still tell your family members that it's haunted, or something. It'd be quite something to leave for a distant relative. Imagine the spooks.
>>
>>17898540

Well, that's mostly certainly relevant, and incredibly awesome at that. Did they ever manage to decode it completely, or is it an ongoing process?

>>17898557

I think you raise a valid point. I mean, I can assert that it's my creative decision to keep it a tad complex, but I really do think I need to hammer in some clarity into the next issue. Thankfully, I plan focus more on Lucifer and the world rather than the Countrymen stuff for the next one. Well... the Countrymen play a big part into the world, but I think more in terms to its relation to what fucked up the world in the first place.

>Take good care of that physical copy, btw. You never know when it will become valuable enough to pay for your child's college tuition, lol.

Oh, no worries this isn't a physical one. I made a three 11x17 PDF files with the pages assorted in the usual format for a mastercopy. I tried the old-fashioned way last semester and that was just a mess. Hurray for Adobe Photoshop and Bridge!

>And I actually had some moderate success submitting stuff to magazines, which is why I'm recommending this. Getting published in serious print could certainly help skyrocket your comic career.

Our campus art department has a local anthology (mostly towards poetry and prose), but it also caters to the visual arts. I'll ask about that one, or hell, even other local services if my professor/peers can give me some names. Rejection emails/letters ain't an issue with me if I'm determined.

Hey, Optiluiz
.
I got around to reading the rough draft for your script and prepared a relatively lengthy but reasonable assessment of what I read.
My initial impression was the excellent feel for mood and setting from your descriptions, and how the personal narration from the Knight character provided this additional layer of dread and contempt for what’s essentially a very miserable existence (in-story that is.) I noticed your economic choices when it came to the different scenes’ lengths as well. (A notable example being the bloodshed in the barracks conspiring off-screen so to save time and allow your audience to fill in the gruesome blanks.) However, I’m wondering how these shorter scenes will align with the longer sequence between the Knight’s and the Lord’s conversation. (Of course, you already mentioned you had made revisions, so I’m curious if any of them related to shortening certain earlier scenes or the 6. INT. Castle – NIGHT scene.)

CONT...
>>
>>17901537

Interestingly, your script ranged at a similar page length to my recent comic’s page length: 4 pages. Of course, mine is mostly dialog whereas yours is mostly descriptions into the environment and characters’ actions. That’s pretty good though, especially when this is your first film project. I think you have a substantial amount of material to work with in just those 4 pages, so I’m steadfast in suggesting you really don’t need much more if you’ve thought of adding more to it. I mean, I don’t want to discourage you from building on say environments or the inclusion of more background elements (e.g. peasant activities or different reactions from the guards), but I may be projecting my own practices into yours. Nevertheless, I believe the overall scope of the story is pretty solid, and I think you and your team understand that too at this point, so I can only assume your recent changes have related to smaller elements in the story.

Anywho~! I like it. The environment of the story comes out quite well in the initial scenes and carries throughout as you focus more on the Knight (obviously, lol.) Even the Knight himself is quite nice to follow despite the obvious one-sided element to his prowess over a buncha feeble guardsmen, lol. Considering this is a project for your audience to learn more about the Knight as a character, in a general sense at least, you’ve got a worthy script here, and I’m hopeful you and your team will create something truly amazing over the semester(s).

Thanks for the feedback, Keeper, and for the kind words as well. This is sort of a pet project of mine, and I'm really excited to see these locations and characters that were once just musings of my imagination brought to life, even if through crude animation.

I actually didn't have an intended page-length to start with, but I tried to limit things so as not to go beyond our own production capabilities. The changes I made consisted mainly of streamlining sequences so the film flows better and changing up the dialogue.

I did indeed shorten the scene with the Lord, as I'm afraid it does drag on quite a bit, but I'm still not satisfied with its length. While writing dialogue as narration makes things easier in the long-term, it makes it harder for the scenes to 'flow' naturally.

Luckily, I believe the team has a handle on production for now, though my first instinct was to go as epic as possible since budget isn't really a concern. It took some work, but I think the story is in its proper scope now. As I mentioned in a previous post, one of the big changes we made was actually regarding the Lord himself, turning him into a wheelchair-bound obese man. To me, that makes his death slightly more impactful, and it actually makes the Knight feel like more of an asshole. (We've also played a bit with the concept of children in this world, and how they might see the Knight as he passes through their town).

But again, thank you very much for your opinion, every little bit helps. I guess we have all the pieces, so now it's just a matter of assembling everything into a decent project.

(here's a few more rough sketches, btw)

>Thanks for the feedback, Keeper, and for the kind words as well. This is sort of a pet project of mine, and I'm really excited to see these locations and characters that were once just musings of my imagination brought to life, even if through crude animation.

No problem! It was an excellent read once I gave it a chance. And trust me, many of us get those pet projects in mind, but it's rare for someone to take the time and energy to make it into something more. You're doing well to pursue it.

>The changes I made consisted mainly of streamlining sequences so the film flows better and changing up the dialogue.

That's definitely the smart way of going about it, especially when how jarring a film can become if the scenes don't 'flow' well with one another. I'll have to deal with this same issue come this semester when I start to animate again.

> As I mentioned in a previous post, one of the big changes we made was actually regarding the Lord himself, turning him into a wheelchair-bound obese man. To me, that makes his death slightly more impactful, and it actually makes the Knight feel like more of an asshole.

I was wondering what the wheelchair'd gent was all about. A good decision given the Knight's disposition.

>(We've also played a bit with the concept of children in this world, and how they might see the Knight as he passes through their town).

This part intrigues me in particular. I think that's an example of "adding more" that helps with the substance behind the work.

>I guess we have all the pieces, so now it's just a matter of assembling everything into a decent project.

..as every project typically undergoes and eventually succeeds into something better.

Decent storyboard btw. You provide a lot of scenery and don't focus solely on the Knight's figure as he travels across frame. An important detail to maintaining the mood of your environment.

Y'know, I found something interesting while going through some old college files from last year.

A random prose with a bit of Gothic horror-esque flare to it. I don't quite remember this short story, but it's from of September 2015, and it's related to the protagonist from my recent comic. However, it was written before I thought up my concepts for "FaustFall". Unfortunately, I felt some 'ow the edge' moments in it, but fuck it, I thought it'd be appropriate to share it here. No harm in that right?

Not all that spooky, and I do apologize if more literary anons here find it a bit... tryhard, lol.

Anywho, I made a pastebin link so to avoid clogging up the thread with my silly literature, lol: http://pastebin.com/m50ujaSy

Enjoy to anyone who fancies some random thing I wrote nearly a year ago!

I've re-read it and noticed some grammar mistakes, lol. I won't bother to rewrite it since it's been this dusty thing on my virtual shelf until now, but I hope you like it. It kinda makes me want to write more, but I much prefer making comics/illustrations over writing prose. (Kinda redundant when comics require a certain level of prose, lol.)

Years had passed since that day. You'd since found that the scary man could be nice. The smoke was always confusing though. Every time you entered the throneroom the atmosphere was poisoned with the musty, aromatic perfume of the delerium, dream-inducing and arousing smoke of the Old One's Incense. An Incense you had been taught to prepare. It was a secret ritual. One of the first secrets the master had taught you. Never to be revealed to outsiders, on pain of death. But mostly he had you do little chores, make tea and of course serve the various shrines their food, lights and libations. Of course he also had you serving him every day and night. That long leathery snake of a member that slipped in and out of your gagging throat every dawn, noon, dusk and midnight.

At first it hurt, taking the skeletal old man's cock. You didn't like it when he first began his four-times daily intrusions. Now of course you craved it. That feeling of fullness so much better than any food. The gush of hot, bitter slime that pumped out of it as he finished was no reward. But the master said one day you'd realize some of it's power and secret. He said he was feeding you four times daily a meal the Gods would envy.

You knew he was old, but how old you couldn't imagine. He was the Body for the gods to inhabit and they did from time to time. You always knew when they Old Ones would be coming to play. You would dream of it each night before. He'd come early the following morning and knock you awake with a stave or foot: "Get up."

Of course you'd always quickly oblidge, knowing how scary and cruel he could become if displeased. Moreover, if he was happy he would be kind, smile and perhaps even offer you various "treats."

Well, it sounds like things worked out for the both of us.

Who knows, I may toss out more random ideas to the thread sometime in the future, for you, or any other drawfags who need an excuse to scribble something.

By the way, been meaning to say your little creature thing reminds me of a cross between a tiny lion and a sunflower, and is cute but kind of grumpy, maybe that's why I like it so much. I also had pic related sitting in my folder, kind of reminds me of this too.
>>
>>17909213

Feel free to toss more our way whenever you feel like sharing one here! I enjoy drawing for other folks when it gives me the excuse to keep on drawing. Suffice to say, this is the most I've drawn in a 2 month span, outside of college assignments. Haha, it makes me wonder if I should slow it down so I'm not spent when the semester starts.

Yeah, the "tendril cuties" were a happy accident when I wanted to draw something that was creepy-cute. I have the habit of creating a certain creature design and then reworking it into multiple variants. 'Course, I'm a sucker for factions/races/groups/etc, so I do like some uniformity to my creatures. As far as the cuties go though, I'm amazed their designs can invoke these different interpretations. It's fun reading your various comparisons for something I made out of whimsy. Reminds me of an art project when I designed various "dream creatures" for my classmates and made a collage of the various designs.

Interesting reference btw. I can definitely see the similarities, especially when I look at the lion's windswept fur. VERY similar to the way I hatch my hair/fur.

Anywho, I think I'm gonna call it a night; 4:30 am's good stopping point.

I love horror art and writing but I don't have any new and good art atm. Please critique this story and give me some advice though!
You’ve actually been here before. We just made sure you forgot.
I stare blankly at the sign above me. A vague memory stirs in my mind, of blank-faced surgeons and pale, beady-eyed creatures in suits. I ponder these thoughts until a gut-wrenching scream of agony in the otherwise quiet halls drowns them out. I, in turn, let out a screech, and fall back upon the padded wall. I feel wetness upon my hand, and truly scream when the faint light from the barred door turns it crimson. I hear familiar steps coming down the hall, getting closer towards -wait? These sounds bring back memories, memories of fear, and pain. Unimaginable pain. The step stop. My door creaks open, and there stands some of the blank faced men, but no creatures.behind him is a steel gurney with blood encrusted leather straps. The man grabs me by the arm, and as I fight, more men appear and manage to strap me down. The gurney rolls down the halls, not silent as they had seemed, but filled with cries, moans, and shrieks. As the deathbed, as I had come to think of it, lurched and faltered down the passageways, a scream or cry would punctuate the air After what seemed like an eternity, the men stopped at a steel door, whose entrance was painted with bloody handprints. I am wheeled into a small operative theatre, filled with the men and creatures. Tables of unhygienic, rusty blades, saws, and other disturbing medical items filled the room. I am wheeled into a spotlight as a one of the surgeons, this one with pitch black, beady eyes picks a dull, bloody scalpel with bits flesh still on it. “Let’s get started.” His nasally voice, dripping with enthusiasm, pierces the silence.”Today, we’ll be studying the inner workings of the Human Torso.” I screamed as the scalpel cut into my chest.

Today was one my quiet, slow days, so I took my time to think up an idea to draw tonight.

I decided to look into some good 'ole Bloodborne concept art, and found the oh-so pitiful Sorrowful Emissary/Pilgrim: http://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Sorrowful+Emissary

I have a fondness for tragic, lonesome figures and the emotion of an empathetic character reaching out to one. In this case, I had Lucifer reaching out to a tall, lanky Denizen (obviously inspired by Bloodborne's Pilgrim.)

Let it not be said Bloodborne hasn't had a tremendous influence on my ideas, lol.

Thanks, Pixel!

I've watched non-commentary walkthroughs on the main game and DLC. Being as I don't own a PS4, I dislike that fact I can't play the game myself, but that didn't stop me from investing a great deal of time into the lore and art direction. I think I'm a tad obsessed desu; I listen to the OST practically everyday, lol.

Bloodborne definitely inspired the idea behind my comic series "FaustFall" as well. Or in the least, it helped me consolidate my various ideas into a certain vision.
>>
>>17914016
Same here. Here a lit of games I can't play because I lack the proper console or time in general bit that doesn't stop me from getting inserted interest content. Bloodborne looks great so if I ever get the time and the money it'll definitely one of the first I play.

>I really appreciate you, Luiz, and the others carrying the thread. Sorry that I haven't been the most active recently I'm just at a big transition phase in my life and I'm having to take a lot into account that I didn't have to before. Things should level out soon and I should be back to being plain old Pixel.
>>
>>17917757

Thanks Pixel!

The first one was just a face at first, but it expanded into something else, lol. The second one's a similar design to the character from my previous comic (>>17909116), and the likely start of another batch of "fun to draw" characters. I'm surprised you found the third one all that scary-looking, lol. He's what I'd consider "filler", just wanted to post my usual trio of sketches like I always do, lol.

>I really appreciate you, Luiz, and the others carrying the thread.

A unified /x/ focused on OC is something I never thought that I would live to see, but you've shown us the truth, Pixel. And don't rush things, it's alright to take a breather sometimes. But I wish you luck in whatever life-altering events you're going through!

Also, I too have been dealing with some personal things, but I think I can get back to regularily bumping and posting. I hope the newcomers to this thread are feeling welcome as well, as we can never have too many great artists.

On a side note, the Eldritch Knight project is slowly working itself out, and I can't wait to show you guys the "finished" product! You know, you guys remind me of the reason why I got into film and storytelling in the first place, so stay classy, /x/!

>>
>>17909790

I always enjoy the sinewy, graphic quality to your line art. I'm honestly jealous how you can create those twisting forms but still maintain a cleanliness with the form. My line art is far messier in comparison, lol!

>>17909843

I read through the first portion of your prose, anon. It's quite imaginative and provides a delightfully nightmarish atmosphere given its short length (or at least what you provided.)

Critique-wise, I think the first person perspective needs some work, particularly due to the hasty nature in how the character narrates the sequence of events. I think you could try pacing out the major events with minor ones so to help with the tension. For example, you could try describing your surroundings for greater detail to further push your setting's atmosphere.

On the flip side, though, you do have this erratic and panicked mood in the current pace. Maybe you could experiment with that with more schizophrenic-esque descriptions or abstract phrases/metaphors. Nevertheless, you've got a worthy horror story here. Don't let it go to waste now~!

>>17910265

I'm probably not the best at telling the difference between digital or traditional works, but I really admire your moody brushwork. The way the central figures saturates into the darker grays yet stands out so plainly in the lighter values really emphasizes that eerie and enigmatic factor.

Fantastic work, anon!

>>17915625

The artist in that thread has some interesting line work. His/her work reminds me of the expeditious nature behind my own. I hope you join this thread, artist-anon!

>>17917511

I don't think I ever take the time to comment on your work, Pixel. Though in the consistency I've seen it, I've come to enjoy the loose and chicken-scratch quality in your drawings. It provides a paranoid vibe that really sticks out with your subject matter (y'know, all things /x/-related, lol.) I also love the blend of cute and creepy in your female images. It's adorable!

We'll the show must go on I guess.

>Random unrelated note: started watching Stranger Things a few hours ago and im already on episode 4. The shows decent but what really matters at this point is how strange it's about to get. It's about alternate dimension spooks from what I can tell. What happens next on the supernatural side will determine if this is gonna be great or jut another meh one. It's got an atmosphere similar to that of It follows along with pacing to match. There's a slight spook reveal every now and then, but things can kinda be slow at times, mainly because i assume a lot is being set up. (Semi-spoiler) The only thing that I don't really love about the show is that it's got another or of those generic 'scientifically abused psychic children that also lacks social abilities' characters. I just feel this has been done enough times but I'll have to see what's instore for this character. Hopefully things will pick up in speed over the next two episodes to create a more exiting climax ad resolution. Head up by the way, it's takes place in the 80's. Another interesting thing is that it takes place in my state so that's kinda cool. Georgia isn't know for paranormal stuff but this is more of a alt. dimension science fiction story.

Hey gang, I have another request, if no one minds.

I want someone to draw a creature that eats bad nightmares (to protect dreamers) and doesn't look too horrific (so it can be looked at before bed without inducing said nightmares). Request is on behalf of a friend who can't seem to catch a break. Thanks in advance.
>>
>>17922531

I... actually have a really old character that did just that. I could draw him if you like me to for your request, anon. I'd have to do it tomorrow though. I played the FUCK outta MH Gen today, lol. Gotta recharge my batteries for tomorrow.

Btw, anyone else is welcomed to try this request, too. It's just a coincidence that this one befitted one of my earliest ideas, lol.

I can't wait to marathon the hell out of this show, and it's not just because of my undying teenage crush on Winona Ryder.
(Also, I'm really digging your recent animated gifs, Pixel, it's a cool way to add some mixed media flare to your comics)

In other news, I'm thinking of posting the short horror story that I've been working on. Since it's meant to be submitted to magazines and such, I'll probably have to screencap it and post it in images, if that's alright with you guys. I hope you guys approve of what I'm working on. I can't post anything mostly 'cause it's huge. But I'll just try to describe.

I'm writing a horror/action novel heavily inspired by the skinwalker/innawoods stories that get circulated on /x/ and /k/ on occasion. I've been binge reading a lot of them and I find them fascinating. I'll try to keep the story as true to the common elements of skinwalker lore found around the site.

Was in a Scooby Doo thread ad I was just realizing how ridiculous some of the monsters are. Space Kook is legit just a laughing skeleton in a space suit(which is actually kinda creepy), but then you got Miner49er who was literally just a dude. i'm not even sure he had a pickaxe, just a weird ghost. Hi, i've got some mythos going for this musical project of mine, in which a documentary was made of an apocalyptic event in another universe and sold into.. not our world, but a similar world to ours, as a trashy exploitation/horror film which was immediately banned as it makes reality unstable. I'm working it in with chaos magic stuff... I'm posting "mythos" stuff every monday. Here's a couple of mythos posts. Most of you are probably gonna think this is lame as fuck, and that's fine, but here ya go. And yes I took that photo from /x/ today :P

The system dosen't seem to let me share links from facebook because that's spam apparently... uh.. I guess i'll post it here

1. //HOW TO ENTER THE VIDEO WASTELAND\\ *
an instruction manual.
STEP 1.
______________
Train!!!
______________
There are three kids of people living in the dimension known colloquially as "Garbage Day" or "The Video Wasteland".
Those are HEROES, VILLIANS and VICTIMS.
Can you run for 24 hours straight?
Can you lift three times your weight?
Are you proficient with all kinds of ranged and close combat weaponry?
Are you an expert at mechanics, crafting and navigation?
If not you will be automatically assigned the role of VICTIM.
You will DIE either at the hands of some Corpse Monger Death Artisan, some hideous creature spawned from the Dark Essence or in the collateral damage of a Hero's path of destruction.
If you enter "The Video Wasteland" in peak condition, whether you become a HERO or a VILLIAN is really down to a matter of aesthetics. In that world, morality works in a different way.
STEP 2.

ACQUIRE A PORTAL.
_______________________
This is arguably the most difficult step.
The most obvious portal would be to find a copy, celluloid or VHS
(no known digital copies exist) of "GARBAGE DAY A.K.A BLACK NEON", the banned 80s exploitation epic. And yes, copies of it DO exist i

in this dimension, despite the fact that the film was "released" on a different Earth. Objects like that aren't bound to traditional rules of causality.
Any copies of the film that have leaked into this reality have probably already been contained or destroyed- certainly not in the hands of any government or official organization. Whatever "God" that presides over "The Video Wasteland" abhors any kind of power structure and everything from lightning bolts to the earth opening up and swallowing alive any entrant to that dimension who operates in cahoots with any kind of organisation.
There are ways to "spawn" copies of GD/BN into your area. Unfortunately these ways are subjective and need to be tailored to be relevant to the individuals life experiences and inner will. Heavy use of psychedelic compounds and the following mental primers are recommended before going "hunting" :
- Escape from New York
- Blade Runner
- Neon Maniacs
- Suspiria
- Zombie 3
- Akira
- The Invisibles
- The films of Lucio Fulci
- the film "Demons"
- The original Splatterhouse games
- The music of Gost, Carpenter Brut, Perturbator, Dan Terminus and of course Surgeryhead.
- The writings of William Gibson
The tapes are most likely to spawn in abandoned building such as factories, apartments, asylums and military installations.
Disclaimer:
There are methods involving animal and human sacrifice that of course can be used to channel the "Corpse Monger" essence and assist in the spawning of a copy of GD/BN but the less said about that the better.
Remember that ANY ACTIONS OF MURDER AND CRUELTY COMMITTED IN THIS CURRENT DIMENSION AFFECT THE COURSE OF REALITY EXTREMELY NEGATIVELY. PLEASE WAIT TO COMMIT ANY ACTS OF MURDER OR MUTILATION UNTIL YOU HAVE ENTERED THE WASTELAND.
STEP 3.
_______________________
CROSSING OVER
_______________________
>>

_______________________
CROSSING OVER
_______________________
Once you have acquired or built a portal to "The Video Wasteland", you must project or display the film onto a screen that is at least large enough for, if it was a window or a door, you to be able to fit your entire body through.
The only known psychedelic compound to be able to create true "reality warping" and "dimension crossing" effects is the compound BEHEMOTH, which has yet to be isolated on this planet in this dimension. There is no currently known way to "leak" BEHEMOTH into this world, as it's mere presence in a universe is known to make the reality fabric volatile and extremely fragile. But with strange aeons...
It has been said that a combination of high doses of pure DMT, Ayahuasca, Syrian Rue, Psilocybin and LSD, concocted into a single dose (without the assistance of any shaman to guide the trip away from the intended destination) can approximate a very rough, very coarse, VERY unstable version of the BEHEMOTH compounds reality shifting effects- albeit with extremely dangerous hallucinations, vomiting, diarreah, nausea and EXTREME DANGER OF DELETION OF YOUR ENTIRE PERSONALITY OR EVEN DEATH.
You will need to master meditation, create an entire legion of defensive servitors and have a comprehensive grasp on the kabbalistic model of reality, and the nature of the void-core of existence. Without having mastery over your own mind and an understanding of the fundamentals of reality- this process will break you, permanently.
Demons, Gods, Angels, Aliens, all your fears, hopes, dreams, lovers, haters, parents, children, ancestors will come forward and try to stop you from stepping through the screen. It will seem to take hundreds of years, lifetimes even, but once you get to the screen- step through.
You will have entered the video wasteland. And you will never return to this world.
You will find further instructions on the other side.

Thanks for the kind words, anon. Since you asked, here's a test video for the entirety of Scene 4! This was the toughest part of the entire short for me, and yet it's all over in about a minute or so. If just the animatics are this hard, I never want to make a full-length animated film.

Keep in mind that without the dialogue or actual OST it's hard to get the timing right, and I'll be replacing a few frames here and there, but this is mostly what the action scene will look like. (Minus the Scene 5 tease).

The High Lord Commander of the Hichta Citadel grinned as his photographer framed him against a native victim. This village had not been wiped out by the passengers' whims - as the Sergeant had told the Guard, the passage of the Purveyor along the Eldritch Sea stirred up the terrible forces to lash out, against the ship and against the native villages on the jagged shore. Pulsating sacks and blisters gorged themselves on natives, suspended on sharp growths. Pus oozed onto the rocky ground, hardening into a sickly crust - black creatures squirmed about, snapping at anything living, and the air rang with gunshots as the guards shot the creatures that came near their charges.

The Guard searched for and found the Maid, presenting delicate chocolates to any of the passengers who cared for a light snack as they poked around the ruins of the village. She was beside the Lord Commander, his wife giggling as he brandished his sword next to a stone dagger limply hanging from the stump of a native's arm.

"Anyone bite?" he whispered, leaning up against a mass of blisters.

"Oh, no. Nobody seems to have an appetite. Passengers are too excited. Crew is too dutiful." she said softly.

"Or terrified," the Guard added, and plucked a chocolate off her tray. "I hate this, but it is tradition where I come from - the sanctity of sharing a meal."

"We have shared many rations," the Maid said, delicately picking out a chocolate.

"Well, if we can share a meal in this ghastly place... I think that means something."

"Mhm," the Maid agreed, then giggled impishly behind her face-cloth. "And I've always wanted to try this particular treat."

The Guard chuckled, then blanched as he noticed the Lord Commander was staring at them munching on the expensive chocolates - but the grotesque man merely grinned, full of good humor. He marched over to take a chocolate, brushing his head against the entrails of a native, and his wife tittered.

"I do not share a meal with him," the Guard whispered.

Hey, I posted in the last OC thread but other projects have taken up my time since. Worked a bit on my weird story of two low-level employees on a Victorian-era steamer full of maddened rich people in an eldritch sea, still imagining a proper storyline. Still, I'll post what I do - the art in this thread is insane, much better than I do. Pixel, you're really bringing /x/ together with these threads, I can't say that enough.

Tired as hell. This pic is just a concept of the two characters later in the story, as the Purveyor and all the souls aboard her fall further into madness.

Keep in mind we have about six posts left until we need a new thread, so be ready to make one.

Hey everyone, just getting this in before the thread caps out. I figure we should post the places where we leave our work. Blogs and all that jazz. I guess we'll do it at the beginning of threads. I'll add that info to the intro. If there's anything you want to add to the thread kicker, or idea you want for the thread theme, just leave it after this post. It's still a little rusty so feel free to interject. Also I'd love if different artist could contribute art for the thread banners/op images.

Welcome to the /x/ OC thread. In this thread we will post original content made by anons like you. All sorts of content is accepted ranging from art to music. Green text, 2 sentence horror, and other literay works are accepted as long as it encourages discussion.Comics to single works of art are accepted. Any art or text you have to contribute is accepted here. X-tan art is accepted and appreciated.

>Purpose; To get some content circulating around /x/ that isn't the same stuff you see everyday and to get users who wish to share their talents a bit more active. If you have a place where you post your art, feel free to post it along with you're first post, but go easy on spamming and shilling.

No offense, but I think we should keep these threads mostly art, with maybe just a little of the other stuff on the side. There are dozens of threads all the time devoted to stories, greentext, videos, and even music, but not many for original art.

I also don't like the idea of thread "themes" or "questions", it feels like they could restrict the content instead of the nice mishmash of work that we've got in threads like this one.
