Legit or not, the problem of late is that there is 'Cicada' and there is 'pi.mobi' pretending to be Cicada and now the waters are muddied to the point of not-caring anymore --- was that the plan all along?

we don't have sufficient information to determine which with a reasonable degree of justified certainty, but my own hunch in the dark is 'both', as they can't possibly ignore the wacky cultural consequences of this game and, on the other hand, it strikes me as absurd (inefficient) that this would be the only or even the main purpose of their efforts
