I can at least understand the attraction to murderers... I think it's a primal instinct to be drawn to people who have proven they're capable of killing effectively. That would make him a strong mate who could defend her and the offspring... which is the idea anyway, but since people who kill these days are mentally unsound, it's only instinctively attractive and logically on the opposite spectrum of safety.
