i doubt that, there are no external wound like you would think a bear would case with all its claws and fangs. why would a bear also come into the camp, attack the guy, drag him out unconciously and then leave him? but then again i have no idea why any other living being should do so.
also on all the reports of skinwalkers i read here recently it says that the guy suddenly behaving weird (the one taken over by the skinwalker) has such marks without being able to explain where they got from. however a skinwalker usually isnt discribed as black, and also they dont leave their prey alive on the ground. but maybe a new species of them which got disturbed while trying to overtake the body and left? no idea honestly. all i can see it doesnt look like what i would imagine a bearattack looks like

Those looks like contusions, perhaps the gobear fell upon him and he tried to push it away, being pumped with adrenaline he tore the muscle, then maybe he ran a little before blacking out, because I assume a huge weight on your torso is bound to fuckup blood circulation momentarily.
Or the other way around, he ran then the gobear got on top of him, he passed out and gobear got bored.

Can't explain it. Hotel was only three years old at that point, no deaths or anything. Didn't make sense. But the 4th floor made me really uneasy every day after that. Other stuff happened after that point on other shifts I worked but that was the most extreme thing. Other employees didnt believe me thought I made a mistake about room numbers, housekeepers believed it though.

Not him, but my sister works in the hospitality field, and I'd say fairly common, once in a blue moon kinda. She's a tourguide and during her training they definitely had to cover the possibility that a guest in her care may die, especially since most of her customers are very elderly. Lots of tourists are old and frail and can die any day, which for some is the reason they're on vacation. And if it happens, it'll likely happen in their hotel room. Sis hasn't mentioned it happening in the three years or so she's been on the job so far, though.

Nah, that'd be a waste of time and resources. Especially in places with really old hotels where even the staff probably don't know how many people have passed away in the building in total.

Hotel guy back.
In my personal experience it's infrequent. But it really depends on what area the hotel is in. Mine was in a medical center so we had people coming in for procedures and stuff. We had a couple of non-fatal heart attacks, a domestic violence case, and once about a month before I left a woman came in and checked out a room and took a bunch of pills and downed a bottle of wine in a suicide attempt. She was unsuccessful. Stories from colleagues who worked in bad parts of town would talk about walking in on suicides, calling police because of gunshots in the rooms, and armed robberies like they were normal occurrences. Some hotels have really large atriums overlooking the lobby in the hotel and they get jumpers often enough to have nets in place to catch people.

Walking in on a suicide was always my biggest fear.

There's no law that states we have to disclose any deaths in the building to the public. I'm sure there's a way for people to find out if they wanted but we have no obligation.

We had one guy who would come in once or twice a month for a couple nights at a time. Kind of an awkward guy, heavyset, overly friendly when in conversation, but always seemed like he was restraining himself. Never specific about why he was staying. He just kinda would rub you he wrong way. The housekeepers would complain about having to clean his room all the time because they said he would leave a really big mess but they wouldn't go into detail about it. Once I got kinda frustrated about them complaining so I had one of them show me. We walk into the bathroom and there is blood all over the shower wall and floor and on the bed sheets and towels. The girl said it's like that every time he stays. He was a single traveler, never had any visitors, or "visitors". So I didn't think he was a serial killer or anything plus, no body. Didn't ask him about it but I assumed it was some sort of medical condition. No idea what it actually was though.
