Hey guys, this is my first time posting on /x/ so I'll try be as clear as possible. At around 04:30 a.m I heard a loud crash downstairs that sound distinctively like glass braking. My first thought was burglar, so I grabbed a bat which I keep under my bed & headed downstairs. I went into my living room and the mirror we have over our fireplace had come off the wall, and smashed. Now it's been hanging there since I've lived here, around 7 years so it's just strange to me. What weirded me out more is that there's countless photos on the mantelpiece of my father (who died in 2011) & my sister (who died last year) but the mirror seemed to miss these. I've been reading online that this is some sort of omen that there will be a death in the family? Has this happened to anyone of ye? Does anyone have any idea about the relevance of mirrors? Pic related, it's the mirror that fell.

Yeah, It might have just fell. I think it was the initial bang & crash so late that just spooked me. How exactly does one attempt to contact someone/something. (I really have no experience or idea so I won't even try bluff)

I'm living in a housing estate so no large vehicles pass by the house. As for planes, I'm not near an airport & rarely see/hear planes or other aircraft over the house.
