Cute Birds edition

Welcome to /sum/, this is the thread for anything to do with summoning angels, demons, and spirits for love, money, knowledge and power.

Want to sell your soul? Want to howl the secret names in the dead of night? This is your thread.

PLEASE READ THE STICKY BEFORE YOU POST: http://pastebin.com/ZHPM0KVz

It contains a complete step-by-step guide to your first Goetic evocation. Don't forget to post your experiences and results (or lack thereof) here so we can all learn from them. A special shout out to everyone who worked on it!

Summoners, would-be summoners, and innocent victims, all are welcome as long as you're respectful and stay on-topic.

Also, want to see some mojo before investing the energy to summon yourself? Email me at [email protected] and become a client! My services are 100% free and a complementary tarot reading is included if I take your case.

I'm obviously not A.M.S., but in the meantime:
1. Yes, your friend might not receive the same messages if you're the only one performing the ritual (Especially if it's just a voice in your head), but he/she may; it just depends on their sensitivity, energy level, participation, etc. There are specific forms of group evocation you can look into if you like, but I don't know much about them. Others can make suggestions, I'm just not sure how much success two people will have with this form of evocation. That said you may risk the other person's safety if they are present and not in the circle if the demon becomes hostile, so defeintely keep them in it.
2. I'd like to hear someone else's insight on this as well.
3. If your question is specifically whether or not it was Orobas, you'd need to evoke him and ask yourself. A.M.S. won't be able to find out for you. If you need him to do an evocation for you for some specific problem you need solved he can, but otherwise I don't think there's much he can do for the questions you've asked other than 2.

Best of luck if you evoke him, let us know what happens!

So who in the Goetia *isn't* a man? I know Astarte is a woman but who else? I don't buy that they're all actually men (or necessarily even have a gender), that just sounds like some bunk shit written by old men back in the day.

Gremory. Even if the Demon is actually female, they get described as males a lot of the time. Idk why.
>>
>>17871498

The answer is because patriarchy makes maleness generic and femaleness specific, in all honesty. But I'm not trying to proselytize right now, I'm just being real.

It is funny because charts of Geminis I looked here are somewhat similar so far in the placement of houses. It is either Libra or Scorpio ascendants.
You also have Pluto in the 2nd house which opposes your Venus in Gemini. Seens like some gold digging action
Your Saturn is in the most comfy sign ever, Pisces

Capricorn moon. Gemini sun. You are probably opposite of what you seem like on the surface
Way too many oppositions and squares can be though especially when you don't have your sun and moon in a comfy aspect. But you have your ascendant in Libra which is always nice although you don't have any aspects with your ascendant

Pay attenion to Gemini mercury conjunct. Inner planets are always the most important

>>17871536
Now see, this is what worries me. Hell I'd trust Goetics over whatever the modern incarnation of Kek is supposed to be. A god of "Darkness, Chaos, and Darkness"; according to one friend I spoke with.

That said It's bringing karmic justice to Clinton; and even though it's a chaotic mess it seems to be doing something actually good for the world. I see no reason to attempt to intervene at this time.

Alright, here's the blow-by-blow from my last evocation.

Preliminaties:
> bathe in scented water, don clean black clothes and robes, have a drink and get psyched up.
> wife is tucked in the corner with the Ring of Solomon to protect her.
> Do the LBRP as always, wondering if I could do it in my sleep at this point.
> Do the GRP, pull it off perfectly this time. The feeling is incredible, like I've inhaled pure light into my lungs and now it shines from every pore.
> partyhard.jpg

Uval:
> Comes after the first conjuration, promptly and with little effort.
> His presence is like a steady pressure, the wind on my face.
> Wife later reports feeling aroused when he was present.
> "Welcome, most honorable Duke, to this the meeting place of spirits."
> "I am excited to meet you at last. There is much talk of you."
> "I have certain favors to beg of you. In the matter of X, cause her to love someone worthy, and may love grow between them. In the matter of Y, reconcile them to their former lover. Interdict Sitri on my behalf, stop his posturing, on my authority. This is a delicate task I entrust to you, and know I will share a fine vintage with you if you demonstrate your abilities in these matters."
> "It would be my honor, young sorcerer. I am pleased that you trust me with such things."
> Give license to depart.

Bune:
> Appears at the first conjuration.
> As before, his presence is a terrible fear or anxiety, both wife and I feel it.
> "Welcome, most honorable Duke, to the meeting place of spirits."
> "I was beginning to wonder when you would invite me back. I enjoyed your libation tremendously and am eager for more. What services do you require in exchange?"
> His voice is like that of a child or castrati.
> "In the matter of X, I need a lump sum of money delivered. In the matter of Y, they need a job. There is little time, two weeks at the most."
> "You are asking much, but I am not unwilling. Know that I will try. Who else is in the room with you?"

>>
>>17871634
Bune Continued:
> "This is my wife, Duke, is she not beautiful?"
> "She is indeed."
> Give license to depart.

Andromalius:
> comes at the first conjuration.
> I experience his presence as pure anger, raw and nasty.
> Wife experiences an even greater level of terror, both of me and the spirit, now averting her eyes and holding the Ring of Solomon in front of her face.
> "Welcome, honorable Earl, to this the meeting place of spirits."
> "For what purpose do you call me?"
> "I was robbed, and I demand justice for this crime. Find the thief and return what was stolen from me."
> "I will flay the flesh from her bones."
> "I would prefer her dragged before the court in chains to face justice. You have three months. If you succeed your libation will be a symbol of my of my rage, potently spiced."
> "A fine choice. May I be rough with her?"
> "As rough as you care to be, honorable Earl, so long as she faces justice in court."
> "I like the way you think, sorcerer."
> Give license to depart.

Aftermath:
> turn to face my wife - "Pretty cool, huh?"
> she's begging me to hurry up and banish.
> ok. LBRP once more.
> Turn on lights and get ourselves one more stiff drink.

To be clear, when I say "license to depart" I'm also including binding them to the contract with the Hexagram and all that.

You wanna summon fucken demons?
You about to summon a world of pain you little dipshits. This is not the kind of thing you can do with just the power of your mind!
You need at least some blood of innocents, robes and sheeit and have to be a total outcast and misfit for at LEAST 10 lifetimes.
Or you have to be a deranged and deluded psychophath, in which case they'll bump you up to the top ranks... after you pay them and swear an oath (oaths. many fucking oaths) of fealty and submission to them.

This is coming from some one outside of the world of Goetia and summoning entirely.

If some one is doing something incorrectly, let us know what the correct way to go about it is. Instead of just saying "this is wrong". No one learns why they failed a test if they are not provided any feedback.
>>
>>17872269
>summoning something you can't deal with is somehow not being a pussy
>>
>>17872278
are you begging on your knees?
otherwise no-one (here) will consider you.
>>
>>17872248
It says in the Goetia that he "teaches mechanical arts" so I figured he'd like a little something like that, I cant remember where but I also remember someone else who had summoned him before saying that he liked that kind of thing.
>>
>>17872292
good to know, i was afraid to do some mistake of pronunciation if i would have done it in english, thanks

>>17872301
of course, it wouldn't be a real begging otherwise
>>
>>17872294
Ok.
I'm not against not using all the exotic props and shit (lionskin belt and stuff). That's fine by me. As long as you really know what you're doing, you can etch your own ritual; that's actually reccomended once you understand the Goetia.
What I don't like here is:
1) A. M. S.'s client bs. No names inside the circle. Also his wife: no one but the evocator must attend the ritual.
2) People wanting to summon the most powerful motherfuckers and actually have the ubris to do so without experience nor the understanding of the Ars Goetia. You can't go and summon Asmoday if you're a novice, for example; I don't blame A. M. S. though, he reccomends Orobas and that's a neat choice for a first summon. The problem is a ritual as simple and "cost-effective" as the one he proposes attracts a lot of inexperienced dumbasses who think it's cool "to summon Satan xDDD".
3) the trivialization of demons. they're not fucking idols, you're not meant to adore them. not in the way you're doing it, at the very least.

That's pretty much it. This general has the potential to be a nice hub, but people need to read the fucking sticky and do some research. That's it.
>>
>>17872334
>they're not fucking idols
Some of them were pagan gods (Baal, Astaroth, Orobas, Amon, etc.) who were worshiped. So, I think adoration is a gift they appreciate.
>>
>>17872345
>not in the way you're doing it, at the very least.
>>
>>17872334
aleister crowley performed goetia with partners.
I believe buttsex was involved.
>>
>>17872356
Aleister Crowley was also a master of the occult. He knew how to make rituals involving multiple people.
>>
>>17872278
It's not a dumb question. The books listed in the pastebin are legitimate.

You're free to use whatever language you like, however most of the "barbaric words of invocation" and god names are in Hebrew, Greek ,or Latin.

The original practitioners of the lesser key likely did the entire ritual in latin.

>>17872082
Regimented hierarchies of magical practitioners, allowing advancement based on merit, really don't exist in this modern age, in the sense you're talking about. There is no college degree for summoning.

>>17872334
John Dee and Edward Kelly did all of their evocations in pairs. Having other people present isn't necessarily a bad thing, however it's not recommended most of the time. AMS's wife was fine.

>>17872360
Crowley was also quite often high on drugs. I don't doubt his occult prowess, and even innovation regarding golden dawn works, but at the same time don't think he entirely is worth the reverence some people give him.
>>
>>17872334

I'm sympathetic to your claims here, because some people do seem to have a bad time with the goetia but just to clarify
>1) A. M. S.'s client bs. No names inside the circle. Also his wife: no one but the evocator must attend the ritual.
I don't think these are in the text, on what grounds do you believe that this is dangerous? I'll give you oral tradition for the names thing, but wasn't there a tradition of masters teaching students, where both parties would have to attend the ritual?
>>17872334
>You can't go and summon Asmoday if you're a novice, for example
On what grounds do you make this claim? It worked okay for alan moore
>>
>>17872377
>Crowley was also quite often high on drugs. I don't doubt his occult prowess, and even innovation regarding golden dawn works, but at the same time don't think he entirely is worth the reverence some people give him.
pretty venerable tradition of using drugs in evocation, I don't think that's necessarily a point against his judgement in this instance
>>
>>17872379
>You can't go and summon Asmoday if you're a novice, for example
>On what grounds do you make this claim? It worked okay for alan moore

I'm going to quote him on this actually, relevant and interesting

"

I also had an experience with a demonic creature that told me that its name was Asmoday. Which is Asmodeus. And when I actually was allowed to see what the creature looked like, or what it was prepared to show me, it was this latticework…if you imagine a spider, and then imagine multiple images of that spider, that are kind of linked together–multiple images at different scales, that are all linked together–it’s as if this thing is moving through a different sort of time. You know Marcel Duchamp’s “Nude Descending a Staircase”? Where you can see all the different stages of the movement at once. So if you imagine that you’ve got this spider, that it was moving around, but it was coming from background to foreground, what you’d get is sort of several spiders, if you like, showing the different stages of its movement.

Now if you imagine all of those arranged into a kind of shimmering lattice that was turning itself inside out as I spoke to it, and I was talking to my partner at the time and sort of saying, This thing’s showing us it’s got an extra dimension I haven’t got, and it’s trying to tell me that it’s good at mathematics. [laughter] It’s vain. There’s something fourth-dimensional about this. This is all stuff I was actually saying at the time, while I was having the experience, which was pretty extreme.
Anyway. Over the next couple of weeks I started researching Asmodeus and found out that actually, yeah, he’s the demon of mathematics. [chuckles] "
>>
2 of the above posts are great (17872294 & 17872354)

Avoid contracts until you are comfortable with the spirit being evoked. By all means a proper offering and attitude will go a long way. They are not all into (BLOOD) try wine for instance. Please have your question or goals ready before the ritual/operation. They get annoyed if you summon them and then don't know what to say.

Also, word does go around the aether. If you try to run a Goetic Sigil though the dirt, or threaten to burn it with incense without valid cause you may get fucked.
>>
>>17872393
"Also there is a thing which apparently, traditionally he is able to offer one, and this is called the Asmodeus flight. This is where the demon will pick you up, carry you into the air, into the sky, and you can look down and you can see all of the houses as if their roofs had been removed, so you can see what’s going on inside them. Now that is not a description of being carried through the air. That’s not being moved into a higher physical space. That’s what things would look like if you’d been moved into a higher mathematical space. If you were actually in the fourth dimension, or if your perceptions were in the fourth dimension, looking down at the third dimension, you wouldn’t see places as if the roofs of the houses had been removed, you’d see around the roofs of the houses. [chuckles] In the same way that if you imagine a race of completely two-dimensional creatures living on a sheet of paper, if you draw a square and then put one of those two-dimensional creatures inside it, they are COMPLETELY enclosed, because every direction in their two dimensions is shut off to them. If you then as a three dimension creature were to reach down and pick up this two-dimensional speck because you can see through the roof, which is a dimension that he hasn’t got. So, if you’re a fourth dimensional creature looking at the third dimension, you would be able to see around the walls of a sealed room. This was interesting, because it kind of confirms the fourth dimensional aspect of Asmodeus.
I did a picture, as best I could, of what I’d seen. I did that about a month after I’d had this experience..."
>>
>>17872360
I once did an evocation without using a protective circle and nothing bad came of it except for a threatening expression from the spirit suggesting that he was unflatteringly impressed.

Yes Aleister Crowley was an expert in the occult and he took some of the golden dawn studies way further than any of the other members. Still it's not always necessary to follow everything by the book. But if you do want to be literal about it then some authors have even said things like the belt and I believe the wand are fool traps that would take years to make.
If all anyone ever does is follow everything by the book then we'll never learn any new methods of doing things.

I'm certainly not saying anyone should jump into this without knowing what they're doing, and I certainly would never advocate omitting the circle of protection.
But I do advocate experimentation in the occult.

You're concerned about the circle he uses but others have personalized their circles (Michael Ford's Luciferian circle for example) and have claimed that it worked out for them.
A.M.S is having his wife help with his operations and it seems to be going well for him.

I don't really see the problem.
So far no one's reported anything bad as far as I've seen.

well, I do know rituals can involve multiple people. But it has to be adjusted to be safe. Not saying he doesn't do it, but you have to be careful with that. Extremely careful.
Source on the Alan Moore thing? Genuinely interested. Anyways, when you attempt to summon a demon that powerful, either a) you fuck up something and he doesn't show up at all (you can consider yourself lucky) or b) he shows up and is offended by your ubris and mistakes and starts pestering you/starts feeling contempt towards you. Like everything, start low and work your way up.

"Dave Gibbons, who’s a very down-to-earth, practical man, had come up to visit me. He’d seen the Asmodeus picture that I’ve got up on an altar kind of shrine type thing, and he phoned me up a couple of weeks later, saying that he’d just got this book called Four-Space which is a book about the fourth dimension in mathematics. This is not a mystical or occult book, this is hard maths. Very hard maths a lot of it, certainly beyond me. But at the end of the book, the guy who’s put it together gets a little bit playful and just decides to have a little bit of fun with speculation, because whereas all of the book has been hard mathematical facts, in the last chapter he lets himself be a little bit speculative and he sorta says, “Alright, if there was such a thing as fourth-dimensional life, how would this appear to us? Well my best guess is that it would appear as a kind of multiple images of itself at different scales arranged in a shimmering latticework.” And Dave said that he felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand on end, because he’d seen the Asmodeus picture, which is pretty much exactly that!

Arthur: Another shivery moment.

Yes. One of the first things that struck me when I started to think about the possible spatial aspects of some of these experiences was, Isn’t it strange how many mythological creatures and gods have got so many heads and arms? What if they haven’t. What if the dog god of the underworld, Cerberus, what if he’s only got one head, but he’s shaking it back and forth through a different sort of space? Kali. What if they’ve only got two arms, and they’re just dancing in a kind of Marcel Duchamp “Nude Descending A Staircase” kind of space, where all moments exist at once? Don’t know. My personal feeling is that you’re gonna get a lot more of this as this century starts to evolve. I think that we’re gonna start to look at ancient knowledge, in its own context..."

I'm not concerned about A.M.S.'s circle. It's one some other anon posted I'm concerned about. Also I said before personalization of the ritual is fine and encouraged when you know what you're doing.
I just say people should research a bit more, and shout "m'horse Orobas got me laid, shout out for him" less. Experimentation, as far as you know what you're doing, is fine with me.

Well. I evoked Marbas

Btw evoking Paimon would not be a stupid move. He would either ignore me or make himself visible because of the connection.
Things can only get dangerous after you succeed in evoking Paimon and act stupid.

Anyway. I made a hand made incense with herbs and stuff. The thing is dried pepperment is freaking hard to burn. Only the tip burns and turns to ashes.

Needless to say, flame easily died. So I burned couple of them and tried to flame going. I thought it was not going to work and I would have to get some real incense or burn some alcohol.

I succeed to get a flame going bigger than others, felt relieved and entered the circle. I was going to relax and meditate but noticed the flame was going to die out so I panicked. So invited the spirit and point my knife half way through. I almost forgot to do that.

No shit happened. So I sat there brooding because the flame was going to die anyway. At least I couldn't see any flame. Only some lava colored peppermint. It looks so bright and lava like before turning to ashes.

I thought there was some eerie humming noise coming from the open window behind me. So I looked to my side and then became self aware before I could turn all the back, so I immediately returned my gaze back to the triangle. Chaos magick training didn't help me there.

Flames went up all of a sudden and became bigger than before. Like 5x larger and went up until there was no fuel left. It was amazing. I saw no sight of Marbas. Later I understood it was maybe because I only said "hear my call", not "hear my call and appear before me." He technically did make himself visible.

I felt his presence. At first, his presence felt too overwhelming. Then it was comfortable but vivid. A bit hypnotizing but I think hypnotizing part was because my concentration was gone at that point. He only made his presence known after I gave up and thought I would give it another try.

I think he manipulated me a little.
>>
>>17872501
I hope you banished
losing focus is a big no no
>>
>>17872501
>I think he manipulated me a little.

I think he manipulated me a little. The same way Orobas almost manipulated Crowley.

I intend to ask him to do some illness to a troublesome engineer.(for non career reasons or semi related) I am a programmer myself.
Marbas was the first demon that caught my attention btw.(before Paimon) Later I thought binding that person would be better instead of some illness.
I thought Marbas could be against harming an engineer but I could persuade him by spreading my programming knowledge. That person is in a different field but his field is not exactly useful anymore.

Anyway It didn't happen for particular reasons I think. I still had some doubt. Marbas probably had easy time to use my slight reluctance especially after things didn't go as I planned.

So instead he persuaded me. I have a chance to avoid this troublesome asshole if I can succeed in my career. My deadline is 15-16th of this month. I thought to myself I would go work towards that goal. I also thought back to things Crowley said about Justification. I still have a deadline before I can say I have done everything I could. But I didn't remember Orobas' manipulation atm. So yeah. I blame Marbas now. Although I thought those were my legit thoughts, they are influenced by Marbas but they are true.

I give him a license to depart. I was feeling motivated more than I ever was for at least a year after the evocation. Full of self confidence

So either he is going to continue to inspire me to success or we will have another date two weeks later.

Would recommend to another programmers/10

I banished. That was the thing I was the most cautious about. I was there to stay in the circle so I would not forget banishing the demon. I remember feeling absent minded, just sitting there after I thought I was not going to ask the favor. Maybe he thought he would get lucky and I wouldn't banish him. But I still have some fucking training

I got manipulated but no hard feelings. He had a point.

However, it was a good first experience. I will not get fooled again. I am thinking of adding disrupting sounds and visuals to my meditation. I am used to meditate with no disruptions

I think I will side Marbas for a while. It is a good choice for me career wise.

>>
>>17872630
When I was a stupid teenager, a freshman, we tried to summon a thing with my friend and we didn't banish afterwards. His house were haunted for 2 years.

And what we managed to "conjure" was probably some weak ass incubi. I don't know the details of what we have done back then but we used some mirrors and sigils
Nothing harmful happened to him but he would often say shit was annoying. We stopped doing shit together few weeks after that and never met in real life until he called me to try and help him after a year we conjured that thing.

I was unable to help him. He was using earphones and he started ignoring that incubi for a year until things stopped happening

I stopped doing anything remotely related to occult in high school after that

Amy edition when? I said so in the last thread, but this demon is the ultimate underrated /x/fag demon.

Pros:
>Great motherfucking president.
>Can bestow a "Wonderful Knowledge" of ALL the liberal sciences, including astrology.
>Only demon to bewray treasures kept by spirits, ie: the awesome kind of treasures.
>Gives great familiars, a talent mostly shared by the higher level demons.
>Will come to you on a budget. So easy to summon it's absurd.
>Has not gotten much love ever. His entry is among the shortest and least specific in the entire goetia, and I never see him discussed online.
>Literally made of "flaming fire."
>Can be honored/ invocated easily by inhaling smoke (ie: taking the fire into yourself.)

Cons:
>Will try to make you forget why you called him as a negotiation tactic, but you'll still wind up with something relatively awesome even if it wasn't what you went in for.
>Has a very dry sense of humor.
>He's made of fire so I probably wouldn't piss him off.

I am very interested, might you explain the ritual you did, since i believe:
>Can be honored/ invocated easily by inhaling smoke (ie: taking the fire into yourself.)
May be a little lackluster into getting his attention for a first time,or he may be a very busy spirit.
One more question:
Is this you spreading his word because you agreed to do so as a form of an offering during a ritual?

Score one more for the lord of fire!

I'm trying to get more people here summoning Amy, because of how hugely underappreciated/ underutilized he is. Pretty much the only thing I would advise on are the familiars. Mine is a great familiar, and I noticed a seeming increase in paranormal activity almost immediately after I received it, but you have to remember that these are demonic familiars. They're not Pokemon. You have to be prepared if they end up looking kind of gross, and I get the feeling that's more likely to happen if you can't remember what you're supposed to be asking for.

I might try summoning him again tonight to make an offering of thanks, or possibly tomorrow when I have some better tools at my disposal.

>>
>>17873186

Sorry I missed your post! I will clarify a few bits:

>Am I spreading the word because I agreed to?

No. I am spreading the word as a bonus, because I want to. Summoning Amy was way quicker or easier than I ever could've imagined summoning a demon would be, so I figure he deserves some positive word of mouth. You do good work, you get free advertising, you know? As to the specific agreement we hammered out, it was for me to provide "as much energy as you need to make the spell work." In other words, I think I was quite generous on my end of the agreement, and I did get a familiar out of it.

>Is he a busy spirit?

Maybe, but I can't imagine he's busy with human affairs very often, which is why I'm now trying to send some business his way. Can you name a single person besides Solomon or myself that have ever claimed to summon him? I can't.

>The ritual.

I went into a bit of detail with this during the last thread. It doesn't seem like an elaborate ritual is necessary with Amy whatsoever, although it is certainly preferred, just as long as you smoke something beforehand to prep yourself.

Basically, I had been gathering what I perceived to be necessary supplies to undergo this elaborate ritual (including candles, a stone circle, etc...) when I suddenly wondered if I could forgo the theatrics altogether and just use a computer screen to create the triangle/ circle and summon him that way. I became hesitant almost as soon as I started to try this approach but, lo' and behold, he just sort of summoned himself and I had to go along with it. As a result, it is very clear to me that he is hankering for some action. I am an amateur at this, and even I was able to summon him easily with almost no effort. Just make sure to actually have some part of yourself touching the circle if you do try this approach, but I would recommend doing him the proper respect and using a circle regardless.

>>
>>17873330
Thanks for answering my post,Amy seems like a pretty nice being.

Do you consider Amy a viable candidate for a first summoning?
>>
>>17873207

Yes, I am that guy! I assume it is doing pretty well. Obviously, I can't actually know how the familiar is doing per se, as it is literally a ball of serpents, and thus probably can't feel very much of what we feel at all. That said, I do feel quite a bit more motivated to get my shit done, which was the purpose of my calling on a familar in the first place. To that end, it feels like a success, but I gave it two weeks to show me some real results.

The pain has also subsided completely after getting some sleep, as I expected it would. I did oversleep extremely late today, but I think that's also to be expected after the summoning. If it continues to be a problem, I will do something about it.
>>
>>17873341

I certainly would, yes. He was my first successful summoning, and I've only ever tried summoning once before. Personally, I can't imagine that there is any other demon which is easier to summon. Orobas seems to require more effort than Amy does, and he doesn't seem to be more or less cooperative than Amy based on the accounts I've read. Just remember that you're dealing with a demon, take it seriously, and you'll be good.

I want someone to summon him an tell him what amyfag said about him.

You're in trouble now!
>>
>>17872617
Basically I summoned him under the pretext of needing help with my health, and wishing for him to mentor me in a small number of fields. To this day he still is tutoring me in a few subjects (mainly theoretical and practical magic(k)s and the machinations behind them).

I can also say for sure, he did help me understand the mechanics of sound synthesis well enough to not be shit at sound design now.

Aside from specifics he is an absolute gentleman at first, if a bit intimidating, and is absolutely pleasant to be around when you both are acquainted (and are on his good side). He is also an excellent teacher, both when he is tutoring my conscious and unconscious mind, always leaves the answers dangling teasingly in front of you until you realize it yourself. Asks a lot of questions to make you think, that kind of thing.

All of the potential "students" I have are online, but I warn you I have be evoking for all of a month, and most of my "wisdom" is in the pastebin. I am happy to advise and mentor people but I'm not a "master" and I certainly don't need people repeating my numerous mistakes.

> and who is OTO why would they be mad?

The Ordo Templi Orientis is a major fraternal, religious, and occult organization. It was founded by Aleister Crowley. I have several friends on the inside, but if they knew what I was doing these days they'd flip their wigs - they're strong believers in the idea that you need to be properly initiated and prepared before you start summoning.

From what I recall, the OTO has lodges mostly in the U.S. and Europe. It's not at all difficult to join, but NB that they have a strict system of grades and fairly rigid religious beliefs (i.e. Gnosticism and the Right-Hand Path / "white magick"). It takes a *long* time to climb the ranks there. The folks A.M.S. and I know are pretty high-ranking, but they've been part of it for most of their lives.
>>
>>17873676
Do you need to know someone from within to be able to join?
>>
>>17873679

Don't think so; I'm pretty sure they're happy to pull in newbies as long as they have discipline.

A.M.S. might be able to speak more intelligently about it, as he's marginally more familiar with how the OTO works. Remember, I'm a scientist and skeptic, I think this stuff is all entertaining psychodrama :P

>i think it'd be difficult for all of this to be some kind of RP

Take some DMT and get back to me on that. But I'm not here to be a skeptical dick; it's fascinating stuff, and A.M.S. is my best mate. The rituals and super super cool if kind of goofy-sounding in English, and I kinda wish I remembered enough Hebrew (or Latin) to try the LBRP in either of those. Same goes for the tools -- A.M.S.' wife and I bought him the sword for his birthday a few years ago, and as a sword nerd I can confirm it's a lovely piece of steel and silver.

Also, the scholarship and general civility of /sum/ has been top-notch. It's nice to see people having reasonable discussions for a change. Though I do miss Ape of Thoth on here; hope he or she shows up sometime.
>>
>>17873733

>are there any big differences between OTO, TOS, and 09A

Uh... yeah. There are *vast* differences. A.M.S. was almost certainly taking the piss when he talked about being worried about the OTO, since they are explicitly into white magick. Their central credo is "do what thou wilt is the whole of the law", but in reality there's a fundamental assumption underlying that statement that you'll never use magick for any kind of harm.

I know less about TOS and 09A, but TOS seem kinda like pseudointellectual wankers, whereas 09A are serious, scary hardcore Satanists.

>worship and respect for the power of the world and magik in itself

Not exactly. Look up Gnosticism on WP or search for the OTO literature on the Gnostic Mass and that'll give you a better idea, but the TL;DR is the belief that our world/universe was (maybe unintentionally) created by a false god, the Demiurge, who arrogant and jealous, and who is hiding us from the true Godhead/Light of Creation out of spite.
>>

Well, that's sort of the point of mentoring, isn't it? Thus why I'd like to become a student. I want to do things the right way and make my own mistakes, not somebody else's I can avoid.

> Temple of Set

As a practicing Kemetic, ToS intrigued me a few years back, but I haven't heard good things about them either.

So when you say this is a 'strict' religious belief, basically you can't be in OTO unless you're Gnostic? Kinda like how you can't be a Baptist if you aren't Christian? Or is it more like "you'll be judged and won't gel with most of the context in which things are taught so you're going to have to do a lot of extra work to translate to your own faith"?

I'm of the opinion that all of this /sum/moning stuff, demons, magick, etc., is pretty secular in that it can be applied to any faith but doesn't require faith as a prerequisite at all. How frowned upon is that belief?

They're really more of "satanist" organization than a genuine cult of the original god.

You're going to find a lot of oddballs who do this stuff, so I'm not sure it's frowned upon except by judgmental fools who feel the need for both magickal and religious superiority complexes.

Just so we're clear here, I'm not literally chopping off my dick, I'm gonna get surgery that's covered by my insurance and get a designer vagina instead. I honestly don't even really like using my penis for sex anyway so I don't think I'll mourn it.

So, I'm 23 and I've been on hormones for a bit over two years. He gives true answers of all things, present, past and to come. He will, lastly, talk of the creation of the world, and of divinity, and of how he and other spirits fell. He destroys and burns up your enemies should you desire it; also he will not let you be tempted by any other spirit or otherwise.

A kick ass historian of the demons. No one here summoned him as of yet but if it happens, I imagine it will be an amazing experience.

How do you convince yourself that this isn't just playing with imaginary friends? I'm interested in the occult, and want to believe in it, but I just can't convince myself it's real.

they are real in your head.. like tulpas and they can help you.. but they dont exist as real entities themselves.. the best proof and example for that is.. sorcerer A a summons Demon X and tells him something/allows him to share.. now sorcerer B summons Demon X and asks for the information.. he wont be able to get it.. if these demons existed outside of the sorcerers mind then you could transfer information like that.. but you cant..
>>
>>17875295
So what, you think that if I go and act out the parts of a ritual without any belief in what's happening that I'll see enough results to change my mind?
>>
>>17875282
You don't, you can't convince yourself that there's actually an entity before you, still, you ask him for a contract and you keep it, because entity or not, even if everything is just in your mind: if it works, it works, and means that there's something there, maybe is not what we think maybe it is, we don't know what it is, but is something. Dunno man, just try to have some faith for the first time in your life, it won't do any harm except for throwing away an hour and couple bucks. That's what I do
>>

To put simply, demons are neutral. People feel safer around Angels because they are "good", but in my experience you are more likely to be herded, manipulated, tricked or attacked by an angel for no comprehensible reason just for The Creator's master plan or what not.

Demons will fuck you up if you piss them off and ain't nobody gunna fuckin' stop 'em, and I guess that is what scares people about them, the lawlessness(?) but it's more in your end on weather or not you're getting an ethereal fist up your ass.

I've only worked with one Demon and one Angel, and I was only tricked by the Angel, who encouraged me to move in with my now ex, who ended up screwing me out of a fuckload of money. But, on the other end of that, a lot of other stuff in my life worked itself out.

So tl;dr
>Just because Angels are good doesn't mean they wont fuck you in some way.
>Just because Demons can hurt you doesn't mean they will, people can hurt you too.
>Don't rush judgement, because a few years later you might see why a spirit had you do something and be grateful.
>>
>>17875322
Yeah but if angels and the almighty creator are real, why would you go against them? Clearly he's more powerful and can fuck you up harder than any demon.

>>
>>17875331
Gods are created by the collective human mind

They are only powerful if you believe they are
>>
>>17875331
Who said I'm going against them? I merely said that if you're going to be so cautious about demons, excersize the same or greater caution around angels. Especially if you are allied to a demon in any way, some angels will fuck your shit up on the spot for that.

you may, but don't let your lack of belief make you fuck anything up, take all precautions and do it right. better safe than sorry like they say.
