Welcome to /sum/, this is the thread for anything to do with summoning angels, demons, and spirits for love, money, knowledge and power.

Want to sell your soul? Want to howl the secret names in the dead of night? This is your thread.

PLEASE READ THE STICKY BEFORE YOU POST: http://pastebin.com/ZHPM0KVz

It contains a complete step-by-step guide to your first Goetic evocation. Don't forget to post your experiences and results (or lack thereof) here so we can all learn from them. A special shout out to everyone who worked on it!

Summoners, would-be summoners, and innocent victims, all are welcome as long as you're respectful and stay on-topic.

Also, want to see some mojo before investing the energy to summon yourself? Email me at [email protected] and become a client! My services are 100% free and a complementary tarot reading is included if I take your case.

do you know how to become familiar with a demon? I mean, it's just like "hey, I like you, we're familiars now" or something more fancy?
>>
>>17857401
I was under the impression that demons and familiars were different things? are familiars just demons that posses/watch over you?
>>
What kind of entity or paranormal method would make it possible to attain your ideal body? Mundane techniques are obviously out of the question...
>>
>>17857401
>>17857406

When I use the term "familiar", I mean "a spirit with whom you have a pact of indefinite duration."

Normally, you evoke demons with specific tasks in mind. I evoked Bune to get me a job, for example.

By contrast, my relationship with Orobas is ongoing. I invoke him before each meal and wear his seal at all times, and in exchange he has provided me with guidance and wisdom. It's a very intimate relationship and you should only enter into it with a demon you trust completely. I had no choice in the matter but I urge other sorcerers to build a working relationship with the demon before proposing an ongoing pact, and to only proceed with the pact if you get an overwhelmingly positive response from the demon.

I have never once discussed my soul or anyone else's when talking to a demon. If souls exist than I'm pretty sure these demons don't have the power to take it from you, and anything they offer in exchange for your soul is a gimmick to get you to obey them long-term in exchange for a short-term service on their part.

> What's your view of the mainstream religions (God/Jesus/Allah/etc)?

Esoteric traditions within mainstream religions (Kabbalah, Gnosticism, Sufiisim, etc.) are paths to truth hidden within the ignorance and lies that comprises the majority of popular religion

It's never come up, but I'm not sure humans can go to the "hell" that the Goetic demons inhabit.

It doesn't help that the occult canon is self-referential, obtuse, and loaded with unverifiable bullshit. My guess is that science will catch on to spirits once our machine learning becomes good enough to ferret out the statistical patterns caused by esoteric activity.

Or you know, it could be the fact you are going to them for help instead of god.
Their job is to do God's work, so I could see how jumping the chain of command would piss them off.

A angel once drove away a lesser demon that was harrassing me and haunting me after I prayed for help every day for a week. They do help, but they are told by god who to help.

Why does he choose instead of helping all

Serious question.

So I'm reading the pastebin, and there's a pretty detailed process there.

When you talk about something like "the hexagram of Solomon", how does anyone know what this is supposed to look like? Did someone sit there with a piece of chalk just drawing endlessly until this finally worked?

According to the Lemegeton, it was a seal created by Solomon himself, carved into metal, as a way to bind the demons to do whatever the summoner demands. But you can certainly draw it in chalk if you want

Hope that answers your question

For everyone griping about the cost of metallic plates:

Generally speaking, a quick and weak acid etch works for most purposes and you can get a disk of [insert most metal here] plus acid strong enough to work overnight at most like hobby stores or craft/home improvement retailers.

Gold's another story but you can always cheat with something like tumbaga, plating, or incredibly diluted alloys (but then most planets have a few metals anyhow and there are further cheats outside Agrippa's correspondence)

>>
>>17858973
I'd like an answer to this, as well.

Anecdotally, I would say that prayers for things that are actually promised in the bible are answered very quickly. peace, comfort, love.., "sight of things to come..", guidance, prosperity, providing for day-to-day needs, etc. There are more.. Side note, prosperity is only promised if you contemplate on the words of the bible, so I think prayer even with God is maybe sometimes a deal.?.

I find funny that you people think you are summoning demons or angels (or whatever). When in reality you cant know what you are summoning.

Now i am not saying its fake or that it doesn't work, but i just have seen to many names for the basically same thing. In one culture they claim angels, in other gods. Not all cultures can be right. And unless whatever you are summoning tell you itself, how can you possible know what it really is?

Contemplating a demon's seal is a minor form of summoning, basically. I'm saying I think God is just a huge demon that claims to be God.

>>
>>17859280
>>17859284

Bingo. Orobas has never claimed this much, but it didn't take me long to put things together once he explained how demons are born and how they're fed.

If you look closely at mainstream monotheism it starts to make sense.

Why demand exclusive worship and throw a temper tantrum when you don't get it? Because you remember what it's like to be patron spirit of a tiny tribe, and you're scared of starving again.

Why run every other god and spirit out of town? Because you know that if they get enough juice, they could take you head on.

Why suppress magick and the occult? Because it might lead humans to realize the truth.

Why conceal the truth? Because humans made you, not the other way around, and they could unmake you if they knew enough to want to.

The answer I've received from the religious on all of these questions basically amounts to either "God is right because He says so" and "God moves in mysterious ways."

That's never been enough satisfy me. For a long time I thought materialist atheism was the right way to go, but I'm increasingly coming around to Orobas' gnostic point of view.

>How can you know?
>>17859240

Experience and lots of it.

>>17859253
>Contemplating a demon's seal is a minor form of summoning, basically.

Horseshit.
>>
>>17859286
To be clear, I'm not sure there's only one "God." Before Yahweh's cult started demanding exclusive worship, there was an entire pantheon of Israelite gods. One possibility is that various religious movements represent different demons trying to carve out a chunk of the "God" brand for themselves. Another is that "God" has imperfect control over his followers and the physical world, and as a result humans just get their own ideas sometimes and "God" has to roll with it or starve.
>>
Because of my living conditions right now I'm gonna have a lot of trouble being able to do the 'ritual' described in the pastebin. Any smaller scale way I can do this kinda stuff, it really interests me.

OK, thank you for that well-sourced and well-thought-out argument. You really convinced me.
>>
>>17859298

Funny how i never thought about it. Is the pentagon occult related?
>>
>>17859309
The "Feeding" hypothesis is the description given in "American Gods" by Neil Gaimon.
The more worship, the more powerful they get.
And the obverse is true as well - forgotten gods fade.
And I think Gaimon has some background in the occult if I'm not mistaken.
>>
I'm not gonna be able to perform the 'ritual' in the sticky because of my living conditions. Is there any way I can try this stuff on a smaller scale?
>>
>>17859327
Well the architects of the post WW2 defense/intel communities were often products of the Yale secret society system (Skull & Bones, Scroll & Key).
So I would imagine there was some intent.
>>

I'm sure Ape of Thoth knows where this idea came from in the first place, but it's hardly new.

I remember reading that Ancient Egyptians believed that if their name was erased or forgotten, that they would not have a desirable afterlife or even any afterlife at all. Being able to make offerings to your departed ancestors was a big deal in at least two or three ancient cultures I can think of. The Aztecs believed that if their gods were not fed the world would end. Sounds like a hell of a threat to pull on an unprepared sorcerer.

We've discussed contemplating or meditating on seals here several times, and several posters, myself included, have reported that it can lead to an sort of unintended invocation or fleeting contact with the spirit. The demons I have summoned often have me wear or visualize their seal as part of our agreements.

I don't know for certain, of course, but then again I don't claim that my experiences grant me the kind of infailable insight into the occult that you oh so clearly posses.

If you'd like to elaborate on your experiences and actually educate us, I'd appreciate it, but I'm afraid if you want to issue cryptic proclamations of your own greatness and spit epithets at things you don't think are true you'll find /sum/ will ignore you.

Jesus christ, that pic is enough to put me off summoning this guy.

As to your question, look in Liber 777 for the most definitive source we have for this stuff. The Illustrated Goetia (linked in the pastebin) helpfully annotates each demon with the days they rule, and that's the source I've been using.

Yeah, Liber 777 links each demon to a decan of the Zodiac, in a big chart towards the end. All it takes is math to figure out what part of the year the sun is in that part of the sky. Like I said, the Illustrated Goetia summarizes this information in each demon's description and will save you a ton of effort.

> If you think that contemplating a seal is summoning, then I really have to wonder what you're doing and any results therefrom.

My rituals are as traditional as I can make them within the limits of practicality. The results have been truly overwhelming for me. If I'm wrong, explain why as opposed to simply dismissing my claim out of hand. I'm not at all hung up on this particular point - it's your conduct here that's been deplorable.

> Of course. I'm publicly questioning your authority.

What authority? I've stated over and over again that I'm a novice and have repeatedly invited guidance from more experienced occultists. All I ask is that you take a moment away from being smug and help us.

>>

>we're here to learn.

You are not going to learn very much, here, unless you understand how this shit works.

You would be much better off reading everything here about evocation:

http://www.esotericarchives.com/

Find the works of Jake Stratton-Kent and Stephen Skinner and read their material. Find them on facebook and friend them. They won't bite.

It would also behoove you to figure out how to use Liber 777 and you'd best start practicing your ceremonial skills right now. Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram daily, for starters. Get a copy of Regardie's, The Middle Pillar, and start that too.

You'd be well served starting a regimen of yoga and meditation. Banish before. It's an excuse to practice and use the ritual as intended.

Find someone you can trust -- heh -- who has done this stuff for a while. Five years might be a good cut-off and anything less is amateur hour.

That should keep you far too busy to waste time here.

Someone asked last thread about my experiences;

Results range from simply being 'more lucky' than usual, helping friends down on their luck, opportunities for sex, acquiring money, etc. etc.

Often you're not exactly sure if it was your working, divine will, luck, or what. You get what you ask for, but sometimes it appears in the most chaotic, unexpected ways. much of this has to do with my relatively limited abilities, I imagine.

The materialistic stuff is great but what I'm most interested in is information. Divination of future events, information on science and mathematics, things that can not only give me a personal edge but help the world out as a whole.

>>17857458
While technically anything is possible with magic, realistically you're not going to be able to turn into a furry. your best bet is waiting for VR to take off in 5-10 years. Now, if you just want to lose weight, or gain muscle or something, there's definitely entities you can get in touch with.

I can partially explain this. If it's inaccurate at all, please correct me. I am no master.
According to most western religious texts, Men are made in the image of god. This is a fancy way of saying that you can operate and command spiritual entities, to a limited degree, in the way similar to that which god does. The "selling of ones soul" is more the idea of a Magician makes a pact with an entity, and upon their death here, they travel to that entities sphere of influence, to serve them for x period of time.

By doing such the magician loses much of that which made him human to begin with, losing that 'command' ability; and when their time is up, they then need to 'regain their humanity' so to speak which can take a considerable amount of time*

* I have no idea how exactly you go about this, or i'd expand more.

YOU CANNOT INVOKE DEMONS BY MERELY LOOKING INTO A SIGIL AND READING THE GOETIA.

YOU MUST STUDY AN ENTITY INTENTLY AND THEY WILL FIND YOU. YOU CAN NEVER TRULY "SUMMON" A DEMON. YOU CAN ONLY "INVOKE" THEM.

INVOKING DEMONS IS NOT WHAT YOU THINK. YOU DO NOT MERELY SUMMON A DEMON TO DO YOUR BIDDING. INVOKING DEMONS MEANS THEY WILL INHABIT YOUR PSYCHE.

DEMONS BY NATURE ARE MALEVOLENT AND WILL BRING HARM TO ANYONE WHO DOES NOT HAVE THE MENTAL FORTITUDE.

I think that what we call 'angels' and 'demons' are really something else entirely. We're working with medieval tools to gain access to whatever it is we're interacting with. Science will eventually be able to explain what exactly is going on here, but it could be hundreds of years before any of this is understood, to an even basic degree.

>>17858713
Angels are designed for specific purposes, or sets of purposes. As far as god, much of the universe seems to be set on 'automatic' to mostly take care of itself, and actual divine intervention is a rarity.

>>17859120
Prayer works through a different mechanism, you're effectively appealing to the divine directly. Now does what we call 'god' really have your best intentions in mind, that's another topic entirely.

That's a healthy mindset to have, You really need to make your own decisions about which information to adopt into your personal belief set, and which to discard.

None of the entities described in these threads are actual demons. Truly dark and demonic beings can be found in books such as NAOS with names like Shugara, Azanigin, Noctulius. They will not grant boons and cannot be summoned through any rote method. You must first make yourself a ripe candidate for the encounter, which can be done, for example, by following the Seven Fold Sinister Way as espoused by the Order of Nine Angles. Unlike Goetia these entities are horrific and will alter your psyche permanently.

>why would I ever want to summon something "truly dark and demonic

As the Bhagavad Gita explains, those imbued by certain modes of material nature (such as Tamo Guna and Rajo Guna) are inclined to entities peculiar to their nature. Some are simply drawn to the dark. Even Lord Shiva (who is considered by some to be the pinnacle divinity) associates with ghosts, demons, etc.

I like you. You're funny.

>>
>>17860007
The idea is essentially to cause psychic transmutation (especially in the case of insight roles that are opposite to ones natural inclinations). For example, a meekly introvert would be encouraged to undertake a role such as that of a police officer. The secondary reason is to cause real world change in the form of political and civil unrest, whether the modality be leftwing, rightwing or something different altogether. David Myatt (the infamous adept behind the ONA) spent several years as a monk in a Christian monastery.

Rooted in...what? I didn't see Regardie revising the keywords of his own Order, made poor standardizations of the GD rituals, and directly integrated Crowley's conjecture as points of GD doctrine.

>If you have the titles of better practical texts, I'm all ears.
For his Hindi derivations? Hathayoga, Raja Yoga, Shiva Samhita, Paratrisikavivirana, Tantraloka. For Western Esoterica? Magick in Theory and Practice, Regardie's One Year Manual, the A.'.A.'. grade papers, the Dragon Book of Essex, Ruby Tablet of Set, Liber Null, Psychonaut, Liber Kaos, Molinos' Spiritual Guide, Mirror of Simple Souls, really the list goes on.

Ridiculous speculation

God never commanded an end to sacrifice, it ended with the destruction of the Jewish temple by the Romans. Christianity could be seen as an attempt by that God to diversify and decentralize so that he could survive such a destruction. He would be fed on the energy of the possession when he entered the possessed through the medium of the sacrament and his spirit filled them. Presumably he was displeased by the reformation which was brought about by reasoning and not revelation

Bardons hindi derivations are bleh at best, until a recent reprinting they were even backwards. The exercises and ancillary information, up through at least Step IV definitely have merit though.

Admittedly I haven't read as many works of Crowley as other occultists, if Regardie did integrate Crowley's conjectures, as you said, that definitely dims my views of him a little. I don't have the time for it right now but at some point I'll have to do a study of his works, thank you for the reminder.

It's been a son of a bitch getting things to roll correctly, so much so that I actually plan on redoing the oratory of KU on the next Black Moon.

It was dead quiet but I had intense gut feels telling me to leave the blood acre due to risk of getting caught. I didn't, but went through the preliminary oration and opening Black Oracle proper, before I got a 'nudge' to just cast the thing into flame and get it over with.

I broke ritual format to start the fire. I'm glad, too, because the wood was still soaked (hence delays) and I barely had the materials to really get it roaring. I reworked Lover's Call as the vessel started to bubble.

The bubbling continued for about an hour as the wood started to get eaten through by heat; I went onto the stellar empowerments but only one was GOOD because I needed to tend the fire very intently. I wasn't hyper concerned because you hit each star each night after the practice anyhow.

The first crack was very clean, like an egg, in a perfect diagonal cross section, sliding the neck off; inside, I could see all the organic matter had 'balled' up, and when it cracked it started to cling to the wall of the ceramic before webbing out; looked like an oxygen deprived hunk of muscle, like a human heart, and it started to pulse with the boil of the vessel.

Took about three hours for the vessel to crack into small pieces.

No, I don't. For example lets say you were born today. On the tropical zodiac the sun is at 7 degrees cancer. This corresponds to the second half-decan of cancer, the demon of which is Purson. Your question doesn't really make sense because what zodiac sign is "yours" is just what ever sign the sun was in when you were born. You can sue the same chart to find the demons corresponding to other heavenly bodies, wherever they are in the zodiac, as well.

Aisana

The entire prospect of at least having something of a supernatural partner interested me. I even broke no fap to do this ritual. Yeah my libido is down again but I guess in a week time will tell.

Something also told me that if there's no immediate response, to go ahead and light another stick of incense in 7 days. Or else wait until a good moon and have a full preparation beyond cleansing before the ritual to try again.

Also, what do you guys generally use when a blood offering is needed? I used a razor blade and pinched a small portion of my thumb and sliced it. I got a decent sized small drop and was able to spread around in my bowl, but not sure if it's about quantity of offering. If I need to perform the ritual again was probably going to get a diabetes finger sticker and use that to extract the offering.

so first off somtimes parts of my body will get either very warm or very cold and i will smell things and feel like im being touched by them somtimes however recently it has felt like an 8 out of ten in terms of how real the touch feels ompared to a normal being this has only happend once however and when it did it grabbed my left shoulder from behind and bit into my neck with vampire like teeth or whatever but two just over pea sized things where taken out of my neck and into the teeth one for each. then i kindof just swated it away with what little control i have over my energy anyways does anyone know any summons that would do that by the way the physical touch wasn't hot or cold it just felt like touch at a similar tempature to my own skin.

On Jan 13 the sun is at 22 degree capricorn, so the demon would actually be Orias.

But the Illustrated Goetia dates are based on the attributions of Crowley, where two demons rule each decan, one in the day and one at night. This chart is based on the attribution of a demon to each half decan, starting at 0 aries.

I prefer the later system because it fits well with using the shemhamphorash angels to control the demons. Also the demons already have certain times of day that they are supposed to be summoned based on their rank that doesn't naturally fit with the day night correspondences. Finally in my personal experience with the latter method the demons associated with prominent places in my astrological chart, like the positions of the ascendant, Sun and Saturn have seemed particularly appropriate.

I also recommend looking into he books by Stephen Skinner, Rufus Opus and Poke Runyon on getia. It is very important to get your research done before working with the goetia or things have the potential to go pretty badly.

Believe it or not, Julius Caesar is one of the primary sources. As he conquered the Gauls and Germans he recorded their culture.
The Gauls and Germans didn't do much writing of their own.
So any Roman history of the people they conquered would be a most accurate source.
There were various steppe tribes which worshipped horses as well - I think the Scythians were known as being badass horse worshipping killers. Conan the Barbarian was based on those guys.

There is literally no other game in town. There was no "Europe" before the Romans. No institutions, no libraries. Kind of the way we depend on the Spanish missionaries for our primary sources on pre-Colombian cultures.

What is the cult's official stance on the Triple Crown?
Is Secretariat a saint?

Would the Kentucky Derby be a useful event to amplify offerings? 100,000 drunk people in their best attire cheering for horses...

horse races are abuse to Orobas' chosen creatures

is it not pagan glory?
cheering for your champion, besting others, a wreath of laurels for the victor...
we'll need an official ruling on this.

and thus the cult develops Dogma.

how easy is it to make my house a temple so no taxes?
>>
>>17863429
your primary residence? in an area zoned residential? good luck. IRS agents see that and laugh.
Easier to just start a business and write off a percentage as the use of a home office.
But then you'll need to start itemizing deductions, thus giving up the standard deduction...

you ever see/hear those commercials where people are like "I owe the IRS $50K and So-and-So got it reduced to $4K!"
Do you ever wonder how these people wound up like that in the first place?
This is how.
