How do you decide on the structure when combining runes? I'm also wondering what the significance of the little floating lines is and if there's any reason behind their location?
>>17843852
Usually I figure out the meaning AFTER I make them, basically I initially decided on an aesthetic, like using the little floating lines, then I draw something that could fit as a set, then I ponder on the meaning. For example the second one from the left, you see the floting lines near the right branch in the middle, seems to give enphasis to that part, and the general struture seems like someone holding out an hand (bottom 2 feet, upper part a head, middle streched arm) so basically I took that one to mean "the act of giving"

pic related is the first ones combined, basically I use the vertical branch as the start, from there I draw every single rune on it removing redundant branches, the only exception I made was for the floting lines the add vertically from the top and from the bottom and not in the original place they're placed

Thank you that's really helpful. I've been playing around with my own rune designs and I like the way you went about it!
