I am a strong believer in Atlantis and Earth being older than 6000 years.

The Maya were not the Olmec, and even the Olmec (as a pyramid-building civilization) weren't that old. However, that said, the Olmec were not "white-skinned", and there's no reason to believe that any other culture in the region was, either, so that other person is also wrong.
