Never heard of that.
>>17816302
It's one of mine, I go by EpicTones on Tumblr and DA. That's pretty old work now though.
If anyone's got ideas for /x/-tan bits, sfw or otherwise, I'd be open to hearing them. Should have time for one or two over the weekend.
>>17816281
She became a model on some reality tv show last I heard.
Most mascots are created with a thread when the board doesn't have a mascot.

>there's a skeleton inside your body
You know what's even scarier? Your skeleton is holding your brain, aka you, captive
>>17820458
Kind of. A little more nuanced.
Japanese is very convenient in some ways. In your speech you explicitly declare certain relationships.
Here's a more familiar version. If you know a guy named Miguel, and you call him Miguelito. The two of you would have to be pretty close for that not to be an insult.
Anyone remember that girl that would dress like X-tan and read us creepypasta in her closet?
It might of been a few years ago.
x-tan, daisuki!
>>17813938
That's /d/'s territory
>>17812686
>>17812780
/x/tan did go to the prom with /v/ a few years ago.
They kinda' dabble in each other. /v/ has some spooky games, and /x/'s most known creepypasta are usually about video games.
>>17820875
ah, ok
So it is something like a nickname or functions similar to the informal "you" in german?
>>17816566
>17816014
i wonder why she is almost naked
>>17822118
Naked girls are cute and spooky
Reminder:
/qa/ is attempting to call for a new banner contest. Need more posts in the thread. /x/tan needs a banner.:

Nickname isn't quite right, and I don't speak German. Since you seem to halfway care, I'll bother to type out something of a language lesson.
I said before about how in Japanese you explicitly declare some things. First is your self-reference term, essentially your choice of pronoun. It all translates to "I" in English, but in Japanese you have:
watashi (most reserved)
atashi (informal feminine)
boku (informal masculine or anti-polite feminine)
ore (anti-polite masculine or super-anti-polite feminine)
The choice is situational. You might use watashi in a business meeting and ore an hour later with the same people when you're out drinking.
A guy using atashi is presumably gay, and a girl using ore is probably a lesbian.
Now the part we're actually talking about.
-sama (admiring, you put this person on a pedestal)
-san (polite, normally translated as Mr. / Mrs. / Ms.)
-kun (closer than -san, appropriate to colleagues or classmates)
-chan (closer than -kun) with -tan being a cutesy lisped version
This part explicitly states to the other person how you feel towards them. If you call a little girl you just met Anonette-chan, you're implying that she can ask you for help and protection. Calling her Anonette-san would not be an offer of friendship.
There's also a matter of first names, surnames, and titles. That gets pretty complicated, since it's pretty much individually negotiable. Worth noting, however, is the senpai / kohai relationship. The wold filters change f a m to sempai (an alternate spelling). Being someone's senpai isn't just being ahead of them in seniority, there's an expectation of mentoring.
All this is why I can't watch anime dubbed anymore. A huge amount of context either gets lost in translation or comes across awkwardly.
>>17822967
>doesn't even fucking -senpai
Step it up anon-kohai.

I wish I had that linguistic knowledge/capability.
