Hey /x/ I don't come here often but I've read some screencaps of fictional short stories I've since lost.
One was about a human who committed his fleet to an unwinnable battle to save an alien colony because they had a mutual defense pact.
The subsequent battle was quite enjoyable to read.
One about how humanity got on the intergalactic equivalent of the UN after retro engineering outdated tech sold by a 'thrifty' race not on the council. Then getting in a war of attrition using that tech with the council.
Pic as /x/ related as I have.

There was one about 2 alien cops interviewing human miners and warning how dangerous they were.
Another about an alien in a bar fight when a human defends him and then comes onto him.

One about a human stopping an alien ship from being torn apart in earths atmosphere by tethering it and slingshotting it out again, tearing his own ship apart in the process. This race comes back to save earth one day to pay the debt and nobody knows what debt they are talking about since humans regularly sacrifice themselves for others.

I had about 10 of them all up, my drive with them on died, but I really enjoyed the stories. So if anyone here knows what I'm on about or where I can find them that'd be great.

In the mean time, I guess I can tell you about how I used to see shadow people as a kid.

Not much to tell, I used to wake up feeling covered in spiderwebs, not all the time though.
But I'd wake up late at night and see between 1 -3 shadowy figures standing in the doorway.

Thanks for the redirect, but they are more talking legit stuff. I'm looking for fictional short stories.

I'd blink my eyes and they'd move closer or further away. I was raised christian so I'd end up praying and going back to sleep.
