Hey guys. Just to update, earlier today I went and checked the area where I saw the thing. There's nothing there that could have been mistaken for a figure.

Thanks man. There are always strange sounds but we live in the woods so that's to be expected. Lots of foxes, coyotes, sometimes even bobcats. One of the worst is hearing rabbits being eaten. This house itself has had its fair share of the paranormal. I prefer the thought of some cryptid lurking outside... I find humans to be much scarier.

The Ohio Valley has recently seen a surge in out of state workers so the idea of some random person creeping around outside, observing and looking for a way in, is the worst case scenario imo.

I called the neighbor, he wasn't home last night. This was confirmed by someone who saw him at the campground he was at all day yesterday and last night.

He's installing a security light tomorrow that will illuminate the field behind our properties.

None of the trailers he owns are currently occupied.

He said he's been having issues with squatters breaking into a house he owns nearby. He thinks the person I saw last night was one of the squatters looking for an empty trailer to break into. The post office has also had problems with people sleeping in the lobby recently, which I hadn't known about.

So yeah. Case closed. I'm pretty sure whatever I saw last night was your run of the mill tweaker looking for a place to sleep in/rob. Which is actually a lot scarier than anything paranormal.
