anyway, pic related is an example of a practice back in the days when photography was expensive and many people never got their photographs taken til after they were dead. they'd prop them up and make them look lively(ish), then take pics of them. there are a bunch of these floating around the internet, but this one creeps me out more than most. I think it's because whoever wrote on it felt it necessary to mention, multiple times, that the girl in the pic had been dead for nine days.
